Besides Las Vegas, which county/city/town clerk offices issue marriage licenses Saturdays and/or holidays?

Marriage licensing is a county clerk function. Las Vegas is in Clark County which is the entire southern tip of Nevada, with an area roughly equal to the state of Massachusetts. The only full-time and after-hours office is the Clark Avenue location, 3 blocks south of Fremont St. on Las Vegas Blvd. The only other offices in the county are listed below.I think you pay a premium for buying a license outside of the normal weekday office hours.Marriage License Bureau (Downtown Las Vegas)

Where would you live in the US? Which city and why?

Exactly where I do live (and grew up): New York City (Manhattan, to be precise)A few other places - LA, Chicago, Washington, San Francisco, Boston, etc. - come close to matching New York in breadth and depth of amenities, but for the most part they are either too cold in winter (Chicago, Boston), too cold/foggy in summer (SF), too diffuse/inconveniently designed (LA), or a combination of too hot, too inconvenient, and too unattractive culturally (anywhere in the South). New York, while a bit cold in the winter, is just about right, and the spectacular convenience and extra everything you get here overwhelms any measure on which another city might be more favorable. If I had to live somewhere other than New York, SF would certainly be a tempting runner-up (LA perhaps even moreso if it ever develops a real transit infrastructure and pedestrian culture), but given my roots, I'd probably go instead for another big city in the Northeast/mid-Atlantic. Like Washington, DC, a somewhat transient company town to be sure, but one whose company interests me, and whose larger metro area (including pleasant enough Baltimore) is starting to rival Chicago's for third place nationally. Philadelphia could be in the discussion too if it continues (or starts again) to grow (more sophisticated/attractive) - it helps that it's relatively close to New York. New Haven, CT is even closer and more easily accessible, and, while a very small town, a fairly sophisticated one. That (if not Brooklyn; Park Slope, say) is my idea of an acceptable suburb.

What would be the best province for an Iranian immigrant in Canada?

I asked an Iranian dentist I met why he chose Vancouver and he said there is nothing to look forward to for young ambitious people in Iran. And he liked the mountains here because it reminded him of the mountains at home.North Vancouver is a separate small city north of Vancouver where Iranians like to hang out. It is actually on the side of a mountain. There are two specific neighbourhoods there: Ambleside and Norgate. Apparently more than 16% of the population has Iranian origins in these areas. This is also some of the priciest real estate in Vancouver.source: interactive map Vancouver's ethnic map - BC News (2015)But there is no need to assume you will only be happy if you are surrounded by other ex-Persians. If you do decide on Vancouver, try to live as close as possible to where you work. Traffic is terrible, and commuting from the North Shore (North Vancouver) is very time-consuming if you have to cross the bridge.Former Miss World Canada (2003) Nazanin Afshin-Jam of Vancouver Canada; born in Tehran. The Persian community seems quite active in North Vancouver.
