What are the best places to hang out in Coimbatore?
A walk around Race Course:Definitely tops the chart for me. U got cool breeze around u, lotsa trees, lotsa people here and there tryin to work out and smiling each time u pass by. Right from the local soda vendor to the posh coffee shops, this place surely is the best. The proximity to theaters and other restaurants makes this even better.A drive to Marudhamalai : This is for people who like to spend the evening with friends and family with a bit of blessings wrapped in it. This temple has a stretch of road which while driving through mixes u with nature. And climbing the stairs to the top can also be great fun trying to make fun of friends gasping for breadth :P (usually me). Finally when u reach the top, apart from the "darisanam" (darshan), u also get a panaromic view of the city.Roaming in the streets of RS Puram:With all varieties of shopping and food joints, RS Puram is favored by & for young crowd. One of the main centers of tutions and coaching centres after Sai Baba Colony, this is flooded by teen crowd and hence the GUYS too :)Around the Stadium and VOC park:The Stadium and the areas near the VOC park has a lot of joints to hangout. U can spend time visiting the park with family, have some healthy food that surrounds the stadium and also play in the grounds. Good way to spend time if with Kids..A Dip at "Kovai Kuttraalam" and Siruvaani:A scenic beauty which is an hour travel from the city. A summer afternoon is best spent here as it starts with a trek and ends up in a water fall that u will not be willing to come out of.Now, There is always BROOKFIELDS, the Mall. It is as good as any other mall. Movies, Shopping, Fun city, food court and much more..At the end, Coimbatore itself is a hangout place.. !
What are the most amazing places to visit in the Bay Area? Why?
Great question. Below are my best spots. I can add more if you’re looking for anything specific.Golden Gate Park and Fort point. They both are close by and driveable with in 5–10 mins. Best place for casual walks, picnics and get togethers.Mission peaks in Fremont. Probably the best hike around. It competes dearly with Muir woods. The former gives good view of Bayarea while the latter gives nice ocean view.Twin Peaks. This is the most popular spot in San Francisco generally. You can get the best view of city from here 24*7. It can be chilling at times.China Town. Nice place to walk/eat/shop. Offers varieties of shopping options and makes you feel China.Downtown Palo Alto. Nice little downtown which has wide range of food options, Ice cream shops. Evenings are pretty here. A place to take your date.Santana Row (Shopping Center). An uptown shopping centre located in San Jose area. Its pretty nice and good dining optionsSausalito, CA. Most beautiful town in this area. Its on the other side of Golden Gate bridge. Offers fantastic views and outdoor activities.Treasure Island. A place for photographers.Marin headlands. Great views of Golden Gate bridge.Stinson Beach. Probably the best beach in around Bay Area. Often maintained well and fun place to hang out.Muir Woods. One of the best hikes in Bayarea. Pretty long but has best trails.Monterey. A little touristy town 90 mins away from Bay Area. There are multiple attractions around it.CA-1. Probably the best highway in US. People debate with Keywest but I vote for CA-1.
