Thanks for the A2A Ben, this question may have been asked 6 months ago but it’s still very interesting today, especially with the 2016 Finals being such a defining event for Lebron’s legacy.Lebron James is not a “pure” scorer in the sense that he willingly does much more as a facilitator, rather than stubbornly forcing his own shot. However, I can’t help but think that people who say things like that are operating on outdated information.Lebron James has always been a special talent because of his ability to finish aggressively the rim, regardless of whether or not a defender or three happens to be in his way, and because of his unique passing ability. Either skill by itself would have made him a successful NBA player; combined, being able to do both at such a high level is a devastating combination. Because he’s so good at getting his own offense going to the rim, people criticized him for being too passive whenever he passed the ball. This was partly because he had poor teammates in Cleveland (when he was racking up the assist totals in Miami passing to Wade and Bosh the critics were significantly quieter) and, yes, sometimes Lebron was still maturing as a player and as a leader.With great players, there’s the “right” play within the flow of the offense and the “right” play that only that player is good enough to make work. To use a modern example, sometimes Curry will take a 30-footer off the dribble with 15 seconds left on the shot clock, because he didn’t feel the defender was guarding him close enough. Not the “right” play as the offense is designed to function, but when you’re that good sometimes the right play is different for you than for everyone else. It’s always been the same for Lebron; it took him 5–10 years to really consistently figure out the difference. Now he has, and he’s every bit as capable and deadly a scorer as anyone in the league.So after that long-winded diatribe, how to classify Lebron James’ playing style? He’s a playmaker. 100% pure scorer and 100% pure passer. There’s a Christological Incarnation joke in there but even I think that might be blasphemous, as well as overrating Lebron. I don’t think it hurts the league as much as the prophets of doom would indicate. Yes, Golden State has the talent on paper to beat any and every team in the league. No, there really isn’t a starting five that even comes close to matching them for sheer talent. However, there’s a lot of really, really good players still out their in the NBA, and they are all coming for Golden State every night.You don’t make it in the NBA just by being a stellar athlete. Nor even by having a great jumpshot or stupendous basketball intelligence. The players who get to the NBA are some of the world’s greatest competitors. Nothing else keeps you motivated to work hours a day for years on end. And all of these competitors are now coming for Golden State as a matter of personal and professional pride. So if the rest of the NBA is going to go down, they’re going out swinging, and whatever else it may be it certainly won’t be boring.Admittedly, this statement means much less coming from Lebron James. He is such a singular talent that even for a super-team like Golden State there’s no way to contain his individual brilliance. He also has carried his teams for so long that he is perceived differently than just about any other NBA player, where defeats are indictments more of his teammates than anything else so long as he continues to play at his level. So it’s easier for Lebron to be unconcerned about the Warriors than it would be for anyone else.

In terms of stats (P/A/R), Lebron James looks better than Kobe Bryant.In terms of marketing value, well, Lebron James has a lot of catch up to Kobe Bryant. Lebron James surely didn't capture as big a fanfare as Kobe Bryant.I think ultimately, basketball is largely about entertainment. Kobe Bryant surely wasn't as efficient as Lebron in all categories. However, most of the value of Kobe Bryant has to do with watching him play. Anybody who is objective enough, will agree that watching Kobe is a hell lot more entertaining than Lebron. Why? Kobe tends to force bad shots. But on TV, bad shots, if made, become mind-blowing amazing shots. There are so many examples of Kobe forcing some bad shots then they went in and the commentator goes nuts. Those NBA moments are surely what defined the NBA: "Where amazing happens". In that respect, Kobe sells the NBA much better than Lebron. Well, Lebron is amazing too, but of course, he's not as entertaining because most of the time he scores by bulldozing into the lane.Now, Kobe also inspired more kids and adults than Lebron. Why? People, streetballers who want to emulate some good player, they go for Kobe, not Lebron. Why? To play like Lebron, people need to have some crazy bulky build along with amazing speed. Not a single person in NBA has that amazing gene Lebron has. But to follow Kobe seems much more possible: just practice fadeaway, pivot foot, basically, learn his arts. People only need decent physiques to learn after Kobe. That's why his fanfare is so great. It is much easier to find a random guy on the street wearing Kobe's jersey and trying his moves than one wearing Lebron's jersey.Another reason why Kobe may be better than Lebron overall is again: legacy. 5 champs, life long Lakers, never ditch Lakers even when they were craps (the 2004 - 2007 and this recent periods). Lebron kinda threw himself some bad press after he left Cleveland for Miami, it's impossible to undo. Furthermore, we don't know if Lebron can last as long as Kobe.So, with all those analysis, probably Kobe is a better player.Update: after this 2018 2019 season, I have seen how Lebron is so lackluster on defense and suddenly his PAR stats really diminish in values to me. So in my opinion, Kobe is also better in his will to play lockdown defense, which is super physically demanding, not recorded in stats sheet, but absolutely important for winning.

Absolutely doubt it…..Frankly speaking, it’s so lucky for Warriors to have Kevin Durant next season, we are so curious about what kind of chemical reactions would happen between Stephen Curry, Klay Tompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant, the improved “Death Lineup”. Nobody will deny to regard this team as a great one in the whole NBA history. I could imagine the scene that Golden State Warriors will dominate the whole NBA league in regular season. Yeah, the Splash Brother is great, Graymond Green is great, KD is such a superstar. But you can not forget the reason why the Warriors lost the Finals, we could not neglect the Achilles' Heel of Golden State Warriors. They need a great center who is good at rim protecting, high post passing, pick and roll, just like Andrew Bogut. I know NBA is turning into an age that highlight the 3-point shooting, more space, running and agility, which doesn’t mean the centers are not important anymore, watch the crazy 2016 NBA Free Agent market, big fellas like Hassan Whiteside or Bismack Biyombo had won a long and big contract. The big guy who can shoot, create space and defence are all so precious in this league. Golden State Warriors have to sell out Andrew Bogut, Harrison Barnes, Marreese Speights and Leandro Barbosa, they have given up most of their depth of bench players. In other word, Warriors are facing a great bet, the Splash brother, KD, Draymond Green( so-called “Big 4”) could rebulid the Warriors as the Champion team. I believe King James and his Cleveland Cavaliers still have the shot to beat Warriors up, T.Tompson still could dominate the rebounds, James could carry the whold court, Kyrie Irving could break through the defence of Stephen Curry. The reason why Warriors lost to CAVS happened in 2015–2016 Season would recur in 2016–2017 Season. I’m telling you, let us observe！

If you want a "Dirty Harry" sort of a knight, Jaime is probably the best pick.If you want eye candy for the court ladies (but ideally not a guy to get anyone pregnant), someone to look good while he does his business and also be decent with a sword?
