Are there vacation settings for my yahoo store?

Hi, Robin.

While there is no "vacation mode" per se, here's an elegant way to disable ordering on your store and let your shoppers know what's going on:

1. Visit your Yahoo! Small Business Control Panel at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/services/
2. Click the link for Store Control Panel.
3. Visit the Checkout and Registration Manager, located in the Order Settings column.
4. Go to the Advanced Settings page.
5. Make the following changes to the Min/Max Values area:
Tick the "Check for maximum order value" checkbox.
Set the minimum order amount to "0.01".
Enter a vacation message in the Error Message field.
6. Save the changes.
7. Click "Publish order settings" from the Store Manager.

Now when someone attempts to check out, they will see whatever you entered in step 5 above: "We will not be accepting orders until March 3, 2013. Thank you for your interest!" or something similar.

Then, when you're ready to start filling orders again, just repeat the steps above, unchecking the "Check for maximum order value" checkbox.

I hope this gives you what you need, Robin. If you have any other questions, you can always visit http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus... to get in touch with us 24/7.

Vacation in Italy?

Wow!! You guys are great!! As yet, I've only had a chance to read your suggestions and all are terrific!! Those who have suggested I email you...You bet I will! We are certainly seasoned travelers, but this trip will be our dream trip! I don't think one can ever have too much information and sometimes hearing from someone who has been there or lives there is so much more rich than reading a guide book!

I don't know how I will ever vote for best answer...I want to vote all of them!!

Can I set up auto responses directly from gmail? #done

Try using an email marketing tool like Alpha (https://joinalpha.com). You can track replies, clicks etc so you know how effective your efforts are.

What's the most reliable way to detect "out of office" email auto-responses?

I can understand that. I send out email newsletters and always receive an overwhelming amount of out of office/unsubscribe replies. It can be a lot of busy work. There is really no way to tell a genuine out of office from a non genuine one. However, Inbox Pros has a reply monitor service that allows for only important emails to be sent your way and filters through all the auto-responses. It is gaining popularity and companies such as Rolling Stone and Mens Journal are even using it. Here is a link, so you can be in the loop too.Reply Monitor - Inbox ProsReply Monitor Service Will Increase Your ROI (This is a Press Release they sent out)Hope this helps!

If a guy asks me to go on vacation, does that mean he is serious about our relationship?

No, if a guy asks you to go on vacation, that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s serious about you.Let me tell you how it was back in the day. Even, oh, ten years ago or so, you didn’t go on vacation with someone you were seeing unless you were very serious about that person—as in marriage serious. Traveling together is a bonding experience; these are times when you make once-in-a-lifetime memories. It used to be something you did together after you knew each other for a very long time. It was a sacred ritual.Things have changed, and they have changed rapidly. I had an online dating profile for a while. I literally cannot tell you how many male profiles I read that included, “I want someone to travel with”. That seemed like it was putting the cart before the horse, to my mind. But I ended up dating one of them, and … guess what? I was too naive (well-bred?) to even think that someone would take me on vacation without being completely 100 percent serious about me to the extent that he saw me as the one. Well, apparently travel is the new concert ticket.Vacations are tempting. Who doesn’t want to get away from it all? However, two months is a very short time to know someone, and you don’t know this man. Do you want to be his destination f**k, or do you want a serious, long-term relationship? Saying “No, but it’s really too soon for that; let’s see how it goes. Maybe sometime in the future depending on how things transpire” might be helpful in shedding light on the gentleman’s intentions. If he respects your decision and wants to keep seeing you regardless, he might just be a keeper. If he doesn’t, he’s out primarily for one thing. And you know what the one thing is, right? Also, who’s paying for all this—? If a man asks you to do something really expensive, he should be willing to pick up the tab. If he expects you to pay your own way … guess what? One thing.I suggest that you read User’s response. Like, read it three times, because it’s great.

Am I overreacting to my girlfriend not responding while she's on vacation?

[No filter, straight talk]I am answering this assuming you have loyalty and honesty in the relationship.Keep in mind:•sometimes there is no reception.•sometimes we get carried away relaxing at the beach and we forget the world.•she just needs space and to enjoy her own company. Now:I can relate. But yes you are. Try to get over it and share her good memories in the holiday. The usual insecure male would act like you are.. you can be better. Takes time but you will get there. When she is back, express how you like to be together and would love holiday-ing together if that's your wish. :)Well done for seeking advice. You are brave. I mean that.
