With winter months in full force brings cold weather at my house. So i'm trying to find a jacket that will keep me warm while out at the stable. I know Carhartt jackets are wonderful and keep you very warm, but they can be pretty expensive. Do you know of any jackets that are similar to carhartts but are cheaper? Thanks

Hey Jp, Carhartt products are good products, and are sold all over the world, the history shows they were manufactured in Detroit. I sent a Tweet to Carhartt to ask them what percent of their products are made in the USA, and will let you know, as soon as I find out. The Q&A on their Website does not address that question either. P.S. While searching for Made In America stores, web sites, etc., I found the site below that carries Carhartt products Made In America.

Who make s the Street Vibes brand of jeans for women?
I recently bought a pair of jeans from Good Will that I absolutely LOVE. I have a hard time finding pants that I like. I went online to try and find where I can order some more of these jeans from and I can not find them ANYWHERE. The tag on the inside of the jeans says Street Vibes. Is there a difference between Carhartt and Carhartt WIP clothing?
This is a great question. Classic carhartt is more of a general worker's clothing brand, founded in Detroit, and is very old and very dependable. WIP is when European designers (I can't remember who) asked for and got the rights to use carhartts name in Europe, since the clothes weren't available there. What ended up happening were carhartt staples with a European twist, and people started to eat it up. WIP got more and more creative with it, as the skater crowd in Europe loved how it looked good but was also very durable and dependable. Eventually WIP developed into a full on streetwear mainstay, defining the workwear aesthetic of fashion. Both are carhartt, but WIP is the European version that turned into streetwear
Why do you buy carhartt pants?
I used to wear Carhartt pants as work pants because they lasted much longer than other canvas work pants and I have pretty much tried them all (Dickies, Mountain Khakis, Duluth Trading, even the various Swedish ones with all the crazy pockets for nails etc. But I kept going back to Carhartt because nothing lasted like them.I wear the double knee logger pants. I also have a couple of pairs of Carhartt WIP pants but these are casual pants and quite different than their work pants.The only problem with them is that their fit is huge through the thigh and legs, which I don’t like. The 1889 slim(er) fit were not bad but can’t find them anymore in stores or online.So for the last couple of years I have been wearing Taylor Stitch Chore pants. Same kind of double knee construction. I think Carhartt uses a 13 ounce duck canvas and Tailor Stitch uses 12 ounce Mount Vernon duck canvas which is a very good mill.Pants are made in the USA versus overseas for the Carhartts.Upside:They last at least as long as Carhartts. Can get them in both unwashed and washed (I’be tried both and prefer the unwashed).Reinforced button flyI find them more comfortable and the fit is way slimmer and works better for me.Downside:Fewer tool pockets, if that is a big thing for you. They only have one slim leg pocket on the left side (but I don’t miss the Carhartt tool pockets).Price, they are $98 USD which means there is a significant difference in price between them and Carhartt. But I am in Canada where Carhartts are way more expensive so it isn’t too much of a big deal for me.But they have a 20% coupon when you sign up for their newsletter and will often send you a 15% coupon if you leave them in your cart and don’t buy them for a few days or a week (shhh).
