Should my child have to share school supplies?
My daughter started kindergarten yesterday. She is my last child of 4 and I am very excited for her. While I have struggled as a single mom for the first 13 years of parenthood, I am finally in a position where I can afford nice school supplies. I spent quite a bit extra so she could have some nicer things. When she came home today I was shocked to find that her take home folder was not one I purchased. Instead it is a cheap paper folder that is already tattered. I don't want to be selfish but at the same time I was not asked to share and no one asked for help for other students. I feel as though my daughter’s nice things were stolen from her. I gave my daughter another folder like the one I bought her in the first place and put her name on it and put both folders back in her back pack and told her to give the other one back to her teacher and tell her she made a mistake and that she accidentally gave her someone elses folder.
Should I buy my school supplies before the first day of school or when the school year starts? I have my list already but I'm not sure if I should buy before or after school starts.
If you know everything you need to buy, it is probably a better idea to buy them before the first day of school. You have more time to go shopping before school starts. And you might need some of the things on the first day of school!
I refuse to buy my child school supplies?
I got into a feud with the teacher at his school. I started to ask if she could provide my child with all of his necessary school equipment to complete each course, but she refuses. I even asked her for one glue stick, and she claimed she didn't have any. She tried to tell me that it is the parent's responsibility to properly prepare their child for school, supplies and all. Can you believe this? It's a public school! Would it KILL her to buy my child a glue stick? I find this so unfair that I've decided to boycott school supplies for my child. I'm sending him to school with only a lunch pale. Everything else should be given TO him. Who else agrees? I believe I'm being perfectly reasonable in a time where my moral code is being tested.
Should i bring my school supplies to high school freshman orientation?
At my school we have classes after the orientation, so it's kinda a must-do. But we get to go into the school a week before and get our schedule, locker, lock, roam the halls beforehand. If you can get to know the school, see if you can take a look around before or after the orientation.

My parents refuse to buy me school supplies?
My mom told me that if I don't clean my room she doens't give a *S*H*I*T* if I have school supplies. She said that I have to have my room cleaned or she won't buy me supplies. School starts tomorrow. I told her that if I don't have the correct calculators and whatnot I won't be able to do a lot of the things in class, and my mom said " I dont f*u*c*k*i*n*g care I will call your teachers and tell them that you can fail and that I don't give a *s*h*i*t* if you do" I tried talking to my father, and he shares a brain with my mom and said that I can't get any school supplies. I have to go to bed in about 2 hours to get up tomorrow at 5:00, I have no school supplies, I don't even have my down payment on the texbooks the school makes us pay for me to be able to rent them. Bro - child support definitely covers this. The only thing it doesn't cover is things outside of the norm, like uniforms, extra schooling needs, and junk. I recently had the same conversation with my ex, and ended up paying for them because she is a two bit whore and refused to buy supplies, but I would suggest you keep your money for your other kids. Also, IF you do pay for anything, track it, and ask her to reimburse you. Track her responses of no too, to be used again later.
