Where Should My Boyfriend And I Move To Florida

My boyfriend is moving to Florida?

I'm a junior and he's a senior and we talked last night about Florida because he's almost 100% sure that he's going there after high school. My friend told me not to get too attached but I think I already am and he's coming over later to talk about it. I don't want to break up not but I know it'll hurt more later. And I know we're just in high school and I'll find someone new but that doesn't just the fact that it hurts. I'm nervous about what we're going to say and I don't even know what to say so please help! Thanks so much!

How can I convince my boyfriend to move to florida with me?

i can totally relate to this problem. My now husband and i had been best friends for 9 years and i decided to move to fl with my mother to better myself. right before i left his father had passed away and we became very close and decided to be together. he wanted me to stay but i felt like i would be better off if i moved, i was ready to grow up and to start a new life. sooo now he was having a hard time trying to leave his mom and sister and his friends. so i told him finally that i couldn't be there and i was ready to start our family and life together and that we needed to be with each other. i also told him that if he didn't come then there was no way we would be able to be together because we were 500 miles apart!. so he finally gave in and we are married and starting our family and he is so happy he did and he doesn't even want to move back. so i think that you need to tell him that you want to start your life with him and if he want to be with you then its the best choice.

In life you are either 1) a kid or 2) an adult. Do you know when that rule doesn't apply? When you are in college. This is the only time you will ever have where you can act like an adult but still make major league mistakes and get the “get out of jail free” card. Move in with your boyfriend? Fudge factor is over! Future earning potential is OVER. Health insurance…on you. Remember skipping classes and sleeping in? Martin Luther King Day? Veteran’s Day? Spring Break? Done! And the apartment your going to move into? Where do you think you are going to stay if he breaks up with you? Cheats on you? Drinks? Does drugs? Hits you? What, aren’t you making enough money to support yourself? Oh yes, didn't finish college…. forgot that one. Yes, this is a mom answering this one. A mom who was also a college student with an older boyfriend. Women marched for a reason. Go to college.

Should I move to Florida with my aunt and uncle?

My Aunt and Uncle are moving to Florida in November, and I went down there with them a few months ago for the first time and loved it soo much. I loved the atomosphere, the people, the beach, EVERYTHING :), currently live with my Mom, her boyfriend, and my older brother. Long story short, her boyfriend and I do not get along. He points out all of the little things I do wrong and makes my life a living hell. If I had the choice, I would move in with my dad, but he died 4 years ago when I was 12. My mom loves her boyfriend, but she's getting fed up with him too. While we were in Florida, my aunt mentioned to me that if I ever needed a place to stay, I am always welcome to live with them. I'm so torn. I love my mom and brother to death and would miss them so much, but her boyfriend gets me so upset that I feel like I could just leave Illinois and never look back. Should I stay or should I go? :(

Should I move to Miami, Florida from Europe?

This is funny, I'm thinking of moving to Germany from Miami.
The weather here is great (IN THE WINTER) summer is very hot and humid, I've had to leave several times because of hurricane damage, from June to November is hurricane season (It SUCKS)
The prices are outrageous, The Traffic is the really bad and the Transit system is worse. I find the people here to be very "plastic" (superficial), You hate politics there? wait til you get to know King Bush. And the new Christian Taliban.

The nice things are the pockets of diversity, the cultural scene, shopping, the beach (in the winter), houses with air conditioning (and a generator (to use when the wind blows the power lines away). Great seafood, but other cuisine is better on the west side of the U.S..
The night life is fun and there are a lot of nightclubs.

Not really spiders, there are A LOT of lizards, Some really big (they won't hurt you.)
Really big Cockroaches that live outside, they call them Palmetto Bugs. (about as long as my little finger).

I don't want to scare you, and I am biased (I have lived here too long)

I would think San Diego, California would be my choice (all things considered)
But That's my opinion.

One of my biggest regrets is moving at 19 to live with my boyfriend in another city. It turned out okay, but the problem was I switched schools and majors and ended up regretting it.. all for this boy.I understand when you are head over heels and sometimes you just want to go for it! I think adventures are important. Just make sure that your goals are still what you really want to do- regardless of this boyfriend. The economy has been pretty decent for quite some time now, so if you are going to go to school, pick something you are really interested in. If you want to travel the world and go abroad or something, or go to college in another state, I think you should go for it. If he really loves you, he should understand and also be willing to move for you or visit you— not just the other way around.

How do I convince my boyfriend to move in together?

His reasoning for not moving in is that he likes his bed. Basically, he doesn't want to leave his mom. I love his mom like a second mom, but he's too much of a mama's boy. I go to community college- there are no college dorms. My parents make too much for me to be on financial aid. And he knows I want to move forward with our relationship. We've talked about our plan and that we want to get married at 25. He hates living at his house with his controlling step dad but he doesn't want to leave his mom. Once my parents move I either live at my aunts up here or with my parents in Florida. I'm not forcing him into anything, if I was then we'd be living together now. We grew up together, he's my best friend and we haven't grown apart at all. His plan is to wait until we're 23 to move in together, I want to show him that there is no "right" age to move in and that we are ready to move in.

How do I convince my husband to move to Florida?

Hmmm, let's think: earlier this week, it was -4 in Bangor; supposed to be about 80 in Tampa this weekend...

Florida is a dynamic and vibrant state with great potential - for individuals, for couples, for families, for business - for Life and living.

I think that potential for the best of the best isn't the Florida east coast or Miami or Naples. The Nature Coast (north of Tampa) holds the greatest potential. See:

Traveling to see family in Maine should be no problem. Too, once you are in Florida, you may find some of the Maine family members want to spend more time with you than they do even now... (smile)

There's nothing in Maine your husband can't have in Florida - except, possibly, you.

Yes it is!I live in Highlands County in Central Florida. I’m in a 100 unit, golfcart, lakefront condo community. As you can see, part of the lakefront is undeveloped and quite marshy. This should be prime country for many snakes. My mother has lived here for 29 years and in all that time has seen one snake! It was in her garage and a foot long. She brushed it outside with a broom. In the last two years I’ve seen one snake. It was a baby pygmy rattler, six inches long on my driveway. I smiled and watched it slither away.About four years ago an air conditioning repairman removed the cover from a neighbor’s unit. Inside, coiled around the internal structure was a five foot black rat snake. The neighbor was standing nearby and you could hear her scream throughout the community. The repairman just smiled, gently uncoiled the snake from the unit and coached it into some nearby brush. The screaming scared the community more than the snake!People have a hard time believing that snakes want nothing to do with us humans. When they sense us, they head for safety just as fast as they can.People that are bitten by snakes fall into three categories-They want to pick them up and play with them! Alcohol is often involved. They are walking in places where they can’t see where they are stepping and that is never a good idea. They want to kill the snake and they underestimate just how fast a snake can move and how far it can strike. Once again alcohol is often involved.I’m always saddened when I hear folks talk about killing snakes. Except in very rare circumstances it’s easy enough to adjust the direction of their departure with a broom or brush them into a plastic trash can and move them to safety.
