Where Should My Cat Sleep

Should I let my cat sleep on the table?

It is actually my mother's cat. The cat jumps on the table and sleeps on it, she shakes her self on the table, and cleans herself on the table, it just gets me so mad, because I think it is disgusting. My daughter and I actullly avoid eating at the table because this cat sleeps on it, cleans herself on it, and shakes her self on it.

The cat is really getting to me, she jumps on tables, sleeps on counters near the stove, jumps on top of and sleeps on the refridgerator, and leaves large clumps of yucky hair everywhere (she is a long haired cat)

My question is should I let her sleep on the table?

My cat sleeps on my laptop?

Probably the reason why your cat likes to sit on your laptop is because its warm. You should try to put it in a place where your cat cant get or (if your not just leavin for couple of minutes)try not leave it lying flat you could put it resting against something so your cat can't sit on it.

Hope I helped! +_+

Should I let my cat sleep with me?

A better question would be, “Will your cat allow you to sleep without it?” Remember that you have a cat, not a dog, and if it wishes to warm the feet of its human servant while the servant sleeps, it will be hard to convince it otherwise. I adopted my current feline overlord in November 2009 and attempted at first to shut the bedroom door at night with her on the other side. That worked for maybe 2 weeks. Then she warmed up to me (she'd come from a feral colony, so it took her a while to warm up to the strange new human). She meowed piteously, she scrabbled at the door with her claws, she meowed piteously, she lay down on the floor outside the bedroom door, slid her front paws under the door and scrabbled from my side, she meowed piteously. When none of that worked, she took a run at the door and I heard a thumping noise as 10 pounds worth of determined feline tried to break the door down, throwing her whole body at it.I then relented, never tried to shut her out again, and she forgave my insolence.

Is it normal that my cat sleeps all day?

Yes. Cats are hunters. Prey does not want to be caught so cats must use a lot of energy in many spurts to get the take down. In between hunts, they sleep/rest to store up energy for the next hunt. And since cats are nocturnal animals with incredible eyesight in low light (six times better than ours), much of their hunting takes place between dusk and dawn. Sleep time more often occurs in a safe spot in the warm sun.House cats need not hunt for food like cats in the wild but the instinct remains. Our pampered pets can count on being served food on a regular schedule. The rest of the time their responsibilities are to play (which usually involves practice hunting) or find a warm lap or area to catnap. Keep in mind, cats do not sleep like we humans. They do have REM and non-REM periods of sleep, but they are never totally “out” like we human’s can be. Survival of the fittest dictates that they are always on alert, even while they seem to be tight asleep. My 18 1/2 year old cat sleeps practically all day long only rousing for her next meal or an occasional peak out the windows to survey the domain of her yard. She begins the night snuggling with us in our bed at our bedtime. But even at her advanced age, she still spends a good portion of the wee hours of the morning “patrolling” the home. Night time hunt, daytime sleep.

Why does my cat sleep on the floor?

My cat sleeps on the floor and it makes me sad.
I want my kitty to sleeping in a better place than that!
Every time I see her sleeping, I pick her up and put her in my bed, but she jumps down and sleeps on the floor.
I even got her a cat bed!
Why does she like sleeping on the floor?

Why does my cat like to sleep on my laptop?

Because your cat is keeping a secret online blog and is a member of an elite cat group plotting to overthrow the government! LOL... Just kidding. :D

There are several reasons cats do this, mostly what everyone has said already. The laptop is probably warm and alot of cats like to lay on stuff that generates heat. It also probably smells like you, and the cat feels content laying on something that smells like you - just the same as if you caught your cat sleeping on your favorite jacket or another piece of clothing you leave on the bed or wherever. The laptop is something you probably pay alot of attention to, and the cat recognizes this. This is the same as when you have paperwork laid out on the table, or a newspaper or book, and the cat comes and lays down right in the middle of where you are working. In the cat's mind, he is thinking "Whatever you are doing is obviously very important to you, I must be a part of that!"

Here's a funny youtube video of someone's cat laying on the keyboard and making the computer spazz out:

Do your dogs or cats sleep under your blankets?

Not if they can help it!!!! Despite ALL my efforts to convince them that it would be a good cuddle!! Nooooo, is their response as they scout all possible escapes into the room….amazing how fast they can be once an opening is finagled. If they happen to take a notion to cuddle it is strictly on their termsThey can end up under the blanket if they decid to go there. My sweet dog, June, was strictly a top of the blanket girl❤️
