Where To Buy 6mm Plastic Bb For Toy Gun In India

Do we need a license/permit to buy an air gun in India?

Sharing my response as written for a similar question.Till recently, no licence was required to manufacture, buy, own, use or possess an air gun in India. However, on July 15, 2016, the Indian Union home ministry implemented the Arms Rules 2016. This gazette notification has not only made getting a firearm licence under the existing ‘Indian Arms Act of 1959’ more difficult but it has also brought air guns, blank firing guns (mostly used by the film and theatre industry) as well as some battery-powered batons and even paintball guns under the ambit of licence! The new rules say manufacturing, selling and buying air rifles will require specific licence under the Arms Act. Please note that licence will be required for any air rifle generating more than 20 joules of energy. Air guns of .177 caliber — the standard caliber or bore for all national and international competitions — will still NOT need licence. However, the restriction on energy (20 joules) will apply to these as well. So, you can still buy an air gun with .177 caliber and less than 20 joules energy without licence. But all air rifles of bigger caliber such as .22 (5.5 mm) have been brought under licence regime and restriction on energy will also apply. Please note that most sports shops are now aware of the new rules but many online agencies may still be unaware of it. As law abiding citizens, we must respect and follow the law of our Country. Hope this answers your question.

Bird Problem (Can an airsoft gun with plastic BB's kill birds)?

We have two German shepards a male and female, both guard dogs for our home and our most lovable pets. They had their first litter all healthy 8 pups. They have a large shed for their home, about the size of an average room. Their shed has been intruded by a large amount of birds and have been eating their food. For the past 3 weeks we have tried different ways to keep the birds out, closing the doors, they then go through the "window" which is not glass, it is just to let the air in for the dogs. We used a net to block it they broke though the window. After that we kept trying to keep them away by many different ways. My father hates birds, they eat the worms and poop everywhere. My dogs being guard dogs are very territorial and often chase the birds but they are to fast, but they killed 2 so far. There are 3 pigeons yes pigeons, 8 Brown Shrikes, and about 10-15 Common Myna. I took a picture of the intruders while they were eating a few seconds before they fleed from me. After 3 weeks of hopeless trying we decided to send them to a happier place. Since their are no guns allowed in Thailand we are thinking about buying a sniper airsoft gun. I have played paintball and airsoft before with my buddies which is how i know about them. The Main question is can a plastic BB fired from a sniper airsoft kill these birds, and stop them from eating our dogs food? I also am sorry for the long story but the Main question is in the headlines.

Can I import airsoft guns (usually toy guns that shoots bbs) to india?

Yes you can import airsoft guns into India but it’s getting tougher by the day. You have to figure out ways to deal with customs. The customs officials present on the spot take the final call on these things if it passes through inspection & sometimes they will be smart enough to recognize it as toy and let it through. This is rare. Things have become very tough these days, to the point of 95% risky. Also, one can read through the main Indian gun forums ASCI, indiansforguns & thegungeek for any sales and import details regarding airsoft. The prices quoted among enthusiasts will be very much lower than from dealers.

How fast would an airsoft gun have to be to penetrate skin? ?

An airsoft gun firing as low as 280fps (with 0.2g) can break the skin depending on where you're hit and from how far away.

It would take an extremely powerful airsoft gun (much more powerful than airsoft guns can be made to fire) to cause a penetrating injury (well to anything other than an eyeball anyway..)

The reason for this is the weight of the BB, the projectile is just too light to penetrate. It's light weight means it's got very little momentum, so its energy is spent the moment it hits skin.

Are airsoft guns legal in India? Can I easily order a metal built automatic airsoft pistol with metal BBs without any concerns by customs and other officials?

Airsoft guns and owning them is legal in India, and does not attract any licensing as per the new Arms act.Multiple sites offer delivery to India. However, given the improper knowledge of customs, they may still ask you for a proof of membership at a shooting club as well as a letter from the club. Also the caliber if mentioned should be .177 only. Anything else and customs may reject it.Another game most couriers in India play, is to NOT ask for documents, like ‘Clearance Authorization’, or ‘Address Proof’, until a few days AFTER its landed. That way, they can make you cough up a few thousands as ‘demurral’ charges! The above is applicable to all airsoft guns, metal or plastic. In my personal experience, I have bought in 2 while travelling back, on different occasions, and never had any problem. The other 2 times when I ordered them thru international courier, the experiences have been bad. Both times, the customs and the courier played with the rules, and on one occasion, I even had to take an attorney with me to the customs office to have it released. In short, even though its completely legal to order and possess one, there may be hiccups from authorities. In the end, it is all a matter of how confidently you handle it. Keep notifications, arms act and such papers ready to send to the courier person too.

Should I buy a airsoft gun or air/pellet gun?

Both serve different purposes.Airsoft guns are intended for mock combat games where players shoot each other, much like paintball. The projectiles are light and plastic and are generally accepted to be pretty harmless unless you get hit in the eye.Pellet/BB guns fire metal .177mm* projectiles and are meant for marksmanship or small game hunting. These projectiles, especially the lead pellets, will break skin and have the potential to cause serious injury depending on the power of the air gun firing it. These weapons should be treated with the same amount of caution as a regular firearm. If you’re looking for a fun sport where you can shoot at your friends in the woods with realistic looking guns, get an airsoft gun. If you have a squirrel problem, or want to practice your marksmanship without the hassle of purchasing a firearm, get a pellet gun.*There are also .50 caliber pellet guns, which have around the equivalent energy output as a .45 long colt cartridge, but they’re pretty expensive.

Can I Use Baby Oil Instead of Silicone Oil on My Airsoft Gun?

Baby oil is NOT a good idea to use on an airsoft gun. Why?

Generally, items made of glass or hard plastic are safe to use with oil, but rubber, latex and soft plastic will break down with exposure to the lubricant.

eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/about_6731390_minera...

So long term exposure to mineral oil, will not be the best thing for any gun, toy or real, that has any sort of plastic,, rubber or paint, that will come in contact with it.
