Help me find drivers for my Insignia Computer Speakers?

Merry - as far as I know, the NS-3099 speakers should not require any additional software to function. It is solely dependant on your sound card. Have you checked whether the driver for your sound card has been loaded/running properly?

Where can I buy a Mikomi Speaker Driver S51354?

There are no, speaker drivers. Are you asking about a sound card, or a speaker?

Can computer speakers be hacked?

Speaker (the physical one) cannot be hacked, since those are connected through an output jack to your computer’s hardware. But what are you listening through those speakers can be hacked.Basically, your computer provides the digital data to the speakers which is converted into the sound you hear. But the digital data have to go through some drivers, which can be hacked and be converted to be listened later. Basically it is similar to the process how microphone and webcams are being hacked; all the hacker needs is to gain access to the drivers of your computer.

How can I fix the speakers on a computer with no sound?

Check your drivers. Press windows key + r and type cmd. In command prompt type devmgmt.msc and you will get your drivers. Expand the speaker driver and right click and press update.Check if your volume is not mute or right click on the speaker icon on your taskbar, click on sounds. On playback , check if there is a green tick or not, try step 1 or check sound manager in control manger.

What causes computer speakers to sound hollow?

The fact that they're often just that- hollow. Cheap computer speakers tend to be cheap drivers mounted in a hollow plastic box. More expensive speakers will use rigid cabinets made from more natural materials (generally wood or fiberboard) filled with stuffing of one sort or another (depending on the characteristics they're going for). Try filling your PC speakers with a combination of cement (a small amount poured into the back to take up some of the space and add mass and rigidity to the parts of the cavity) and stuffing and if they don't sound better at least they're guaranteed to sink when you throw them in the river after buying some better speakers.  (Disclaimer: I've never performed the cement mod myself but with the inevitable outcome being “toss them in the river” it seems to be a reasonable suggestion in this case.)

Do computer speakers get worse over time? Why?

On top of the sound degradation well-covered already, don't forget that there may be other electronics associated with a computer speaker set.  I have a desktop module with an On-Off switch/volume dial and bass control dial.  This module is the only way to turn the speakers on and off and control volume and bass.  The switch potentiometers degrade over time and after years of use they may not be able hold a comfortable volume.Common potentiometers have conductive carbon tracks and a wiper attached to the dial.  When you turn the dial, the wiper moves across the carbon track lengthening or shortening the conductive path which changes the resistance.  Over time, the conductive carbon wears off making unreliable contact with the wiper.  As expected in a dial, the most wear occurs between the off position and the most used position.I will grant that my speaker set is now about 10 years old, but to reach this age I had to buy my own potentiometers, open up the control module, and wire a new controller together.  Interestingly, I have not noticed any significant change in the sound quality, although I don't pay great attention to it.

What would happen if headphone speakers were used in computers?

That works fine. Have you ever disassambled headphones, and held the speaker in your folded hands, making an enclosure around the speaker? You will have sound, but not very loud. Many speakers in headphones have a high impedance. 32 -50 Ohm. Normally, a PC-speaker has an impedance of 4–8 Ohm which is a greater load to the amplifier, and therefor sounds louder.Headphones are normally not made of an airtight enclosure, but is open in both rear and front sides. This will cause acoustic short circuit where the easiest path of the soundwave is to travel from the front, then right back to the rear side to compensate for the pressure difference. That means that less of the sound is distributed outwards for you to hear it. However, when you put those headphones on, you close the acoustic leak, and most of the sound will travel into your ears.

Who do i get my altec lansing acs33 computer speakers to work?

ITs probably not the speakers, since u dont need CD or drivers for speakers. ITs probly your sound card that s missing the drivers or has the wrong drivers. TO test that , just plug any headphone into where the speakers go and see if there s sound.

I cant find drivers for Logitech Speakers Z4 model where can I get them?

I checked to see if my sound card drivers were ok and they are. (i recently reformatted and im without a recovery disk) So I have to go from scratch. I got my video card drivers, but I need sound ones now. My speakers are plugged in, but windows doesn't detect them. What do I do?
