Where To Buy Cheap Leather To Make Shoes

Where can I buy good quality leather shoes in Chennai?

When buying a leather shoe or any leather product for that matter, most Chennaites seldom think of buying in Chennai. Let me tell you why. I happen to live in a place called Ambur, which is otherwise known as Leather City or Dollar City. It is located on the Chennai -Bangalore National highway. It is around 140kms from Chennai and roughly between Chennai and Bangalore. Ambur is home to a major part of India's leather tanning industry, earning it the nickname Leather City of South India. A few of India's largest and finest tanneries are located here, making it one of the leading exporters of finished and unfinished leather goods (such as shoes, garments, and gloves) in the country. If you happen to cross through Ambur, do take some time to enter this leather hub. All I can assure you is that you will get quality products at less than half the price, what you'd get in Chennai. And yes, almost everyone speaks Hindi here! Besides, you can treat yourself with the delicious Ambur Briyani. But make sure the shopkeepers don't take you for a ride just because you're an outsider. Any fine and high quality branded leather shoe can be (or perhaps has to be) bought within ₹1500. Still if you feel that you won't be able to visit here, and would be comfortable buying in Chennai itself, do contact me, I have some friends who are familiar with some shops in Chennai, I'll let you know :)

How do I get cat urine out of leather shoes?

I have a couple of suggestions. First, get some Nature's Miracle from the pet store. This is an enzyme that will break down the bacteria that comes from urine and causes the smell. Soak a rag with the Nature's Miracle and insert it into the shoe. Don't make it dripping wet, just damp. Leave it inside the shoes for an hour or so. This should remove enough of the surface bacteria so that when she puts her foot into the shoes the heat of her feet don't reactivate the bacteria, thus making the smell reoccur.

Next, buy some activated charcoal and Borax. Put the shoes in a cardboard box that has a lid (a shoe box would work). Sprinkle Borax in the bottom of the box, maybe 1/2 inch thick. Put the activated charcoal in a plastic container inside the box with the shoes. Put a rubber band around the box and leave it sit for 3-5 days, maybe even a week, undisturbed. Activated charcoal absorbs smells and because leather breathes it should pull out the odor from the leather. Borax works well also to remove the smell of urine, so you are doing double duty smell control. I don't think that it would even hurt the shoes to fill them with some borax. Good luck, this worked on a very expensive Coach purse that my neighbor's cat sprayed and I filled the purse up with Borax without damaging the fine leather.

You can go to Pay-Less or WalMart to find shoes that are cheap.

OSHA just requires that you have shoes that totally cover the foot in a food preparation area.

Most people that I know wear sneakers because the rubber sole helps to keep you from slipping. They have them that look like leather. Lots of them out there that are not leather. Just read the label.

Where can we get cheaper tap shoes for dance?

Salvation Army!
I like the 8" high steel toed boot with leather soles then purchase the taps to fit and off to the shoe repair place, (I love the smell of a good shoe repair shop) and have the taps installed.

Note: Leather soles are imperative for the screws to hold the taps onto the shoe.

Is it ok to buy shoes in payless?

i honestly wouldnt care where you bought them because i love fashion and ive have found in some cases that cheaper shoes are better because i had a pair of jimmy choos they lasted about a week i had a cheap pair they lasted months usually shoes from cheaper shops are more unique because the people that try to be fashionable want to go in there but dont but the people who are fashionable do because they want to be different and unique as long as you like them no-one else will know where they are from unless they have been in there

Where can I get a good pair of reasonably priced shoes with leather soles?

Shoes with slippery soles need to stay slippery, so you wouldn't wear them on the street where the soles would accumulate grit. Two ideas:1)If you want to go dressy, I have a pair of split-toe Allen Edmonds Delray oxfords that are just wonderful that have slippery leather soles. They're not the cheapest, but they last forever, and places like Nordstrom have them on sale from time to time: http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/alle...2) Allen Edmonds ain't exactly hip--very traditional. If you want to dress down and go cheaper, try some bowling shoes. Those have to be slippery on the bottom.
