Sweater tights or fleece lined tights?
For Halloween I would like to wear tights, but I also want to be as warm as possible. I have seen both fleece lined & sweater tights, and I am wondering which one would be the warmest. I don't want leggings, because I want them to be footed. All answers are appreciated! Thanks!

Can you wear leggings under pants or thermals?
I'm a man who likes coming up with theories and experiments for staying warm in the winter and I wanted to know is it possible to wear fitted-tight leggings under pants. I'm considering wearing them under a thermal bottom with a brief layer before. My knees get really creaky in extreme cold + windy blistering weather. I came up with this method. Professor Methodical Theory: You know what? Since we're not far from the verge of Winter, it's the perfect time to experiment! You buffoons wanna stay warm? Well listen to Professor Methodical Theory! If you afraid of your *** and legs getting cold, here's what you do(My NEW theory)! First, you put on some draws whether it's tighty whities or [light/thick] cotton briefs, then you put on some fitted-tight leggings over, then you put on a thermal bottom! If you're afraid of your body/torso getting cold try this method! First, You put on a [light/thick] beater shirt. Second, you put on a thermal shirt. Third (Optional), you put on [light] T-shirt. Fourth, you put on your regular shirt. Fifth, put on a hoodie/sweatshirt. Finally, you put on a coat/jacket. There you go! Warmth! *WARNING* This method is recommended for weather 35 degrees F or lower if you know your going to be in a place with poor heating system. I like to think of myself as a methodical theorist. So, don't judge me!

A fleece lined pair of leggings without jeans will be warmer than just the jeans, in my opinion. For good warmth in weather above 20 degrees Fahrenheit, leggings under jeans is just the ticket. Now, if it’s not fit for man nor beast outside, leggings and jeans just ain’t gonna cut it. You need some serious heavy duty clothes (think coveralls) with layers underneath if you wanna stay warm.
Are leggings worn with pantyhose when it gets colder?
Are leggings worn over pantyhose? I'm sure there are people that do it. But I personally wouldn't. Pulling tight, woven fabric over tight, woven fabric is annoying and difficult. If it's too cold for the leggings you normally wear, look for leggings that are thicker, more insulating and/or shearling-lined.I would suggest bypassing layering leggings over pantyhose by using pants or jeans as the top layer instead. However, I would not use pantyhose. It's very thin and not meant to keep you warm. Instead, purchase a pair of wool tights and wear pants over those.My preference is the Phillipe Matignon Kachemere tights, which are a cashmere-cotton blend so they're warm but thin enough to wear under other clothes. Also, because the material doesn't have too much stretchiness to it, it's less likely to develop holes/runs. This helps offset the higher price of cashmere blend tights. Wolford also has cashmere and wool blends but they tend to be more expensive.
