Where To Buy The Cheapest Ammo

Were can i buy cheapest 9mm ammo?

Yep...usually Walmart. You need to find out when they get their ammo shipments in- and be there.

There are 3 Walmarts within 10 miles of me- they all get ammo on Wed night. Most of the popular stuff is gone by noon on Thursday. But last week I did see several boxed of Tula 9mm sit on the shelf 5 days. Actually I don't know when it sold- but I know that 8-10 boxes were there on the 5th day after delivery.

Edit: Do you live close to Villa Rica? Georgia Arms may have some on the shelf. But theirs will be premium ammo-If they have any. They do sell bulk...but they out for a long time.

Ammoseek is showing quiet a bit-

Which has cheaper ammo?AR-15 or AK-47?

@Robin,how is it not obvious to you that my AK-47 is going to be chambered in 7.62x39mm?And if I get an AR-15 it's going to be chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO/.223 Remington for clarity.

Where can I buy the cheapest .40 S&W ammo?

I'm in the same boat. But I reload mine. My wife shoots about 300-400 rounds of .40S&W when she goes to the range, and it gets pricey. Wal-Mart (hate to say) is the cheapest place. The Winchester 100Rd white box is about as cheap as you are going to get aside from Wolf or other imported, cheap ammo.

Buying from mail order places usually incur a hazardous handling/shipping fee which, unless you are ordering huge amounts, cancels the savings on the lower price.

I would recommend, seriously, reloading your own. You will spend a lot of up front money, but after your first 1000 rounds or so of reloading, you will be cutting your ammo cost in half.

At the rate at which you say you shoot, your reloader and equipment would be paid for after about three trips to the range. After buying about 700 rounds over the counter, I bought a Dillon Square Deal B press and started loading my own.

Bullets cost about $80-90 per 1000, powder about $20 a pound, and primers about $20-30 for 1000. You can use new or fired brass to start with. I pick up the brass that I/we shoot, and whatever else I can grab without making the range operators mad, or I recommend ebay for a bunch of fired brass. It is usually cheap, and for about $50-100 you can get a decent tumbler and some media to clean up the cases before you reload them.

Do some math and you will see why some of us spend the time out in the garage pullling handles a few hours a week.

Some even say that reloading is an entirely different hobby in itself. I agree, as it is rather relaxing and peaceful.

Plug in the values above at this link and you will see what I mean:

Cheapest place to buy bullets?

You should learn to re-load. You can make your bullets for pennies on the dollar. Check out www.midwayusa.com They have everything you need for reloading. Plus they also have bulk bullets for sale at good prices. As the other fellow suggested, be careful the kind you get. Remember a good bullet isn't cheap, and a cheap bullet isn't good.

Where to buy ammo for cheap in palmdale CA?

go online.
i think cheaper than dirt just set me a email about a sale on american eagle xm193.
its cheaper than walmart.

if you don't mind a bit of a drive I know LAX range (next to LAX) has quite possibly the cheapest ammo around. they're having a big parking lot sale on Nov 14, with gun show pricing on ammunition. that means $135 per 1k 9mm, and I believe its $189 per 1k .223. That's what i saw last time at a gun show. I don't have a .223 rifle so I really didn't pay attention to the price that much. but I do know its THE best deal you'll find. I buy their 9mm alot, its good reloads. clean, well made, consistent, accurate.

yes CTD is a safe website. so is J&G sales, Sportsmans guide, cabelas, natchez.

try ammoengine.com - search engine for .223 ammo. if you find something cheap online don't forget to factor in the cost of shipping!

-------
Also, if you don't know already, don't shoot 5.56 unless your rifle specifically says 5.56mm NATO (or 5.56x45mm) on the barrel. the dimensions of 5.56 is slightly different than .223 Remington, it is NOT safe to shoot 5.56 in a .223 Remington rifle. however if you have a 5.56 rifle you may shoot .223 in it without any problems.

Cheapest Ammo for Lever-Action Rifle?

I'm going to be 18 soon and so I'm planning on purchasing my first gun. I want a lever-action rifle because of my fascination with cowboys and the wild west. The only problem is, I'm sort of a newbie when it comes to guns and I'm worried that I will end up purchasing something that requires expensive ammunition.

So, I was wondering, what is the cheapest ammunition type possible for a lever-action rifle? (Other than .22 of course). Keep in mind I live in Northern California, so our overly strict firearm laws may affect the price. Thank you!
