Where To Leave Car At Night

Can I leave a birthday cake in the car overnight?

It's a regular yellow cake, frosted, with design. 1/4 sheet; weather predicted to be low 31. I picked up the cake from the grocery store about an hour ago. It will go with my son to his daycare tomorrow morning. Anything wrong with just keeping it in the car all night? This would save me time, sanity (don't want my son to see it), and space.

When I leave my parking brake on over night...?

The problem is either the cable is binding (most common) or the Shoes / pads are binding on the drums / rotors (usually shoes / drums) Probably would be a good idea to get it looked at at least to make sure the shoes are not subject to bind because of it, or make sure the cable is not frayed. There will come a time in the future when you will need to use your hand brake for one reason or another, and so you want to make sure it is functional so you are not left in a bad predicament.
Negative. The hand brake is an isolated system and is not causing any infliction on any other system, Trans engine, brakes or other. This is of course presuming that the brake does indeed disengage completely.
You know, I'll tell ya, a lot of cars do that, and if you have the hand brake cable greased, it should take care of the problem once and for all. It's very common really, that initial kind of popping clunk sound when the hand brake is released. It's when the handle is released and the brakes don't release is when you have a real problem.

What happens if you leave you car running overnight?

Ok i Specific I plan to camp out at the lake I live in phoenix AZ and at night its about 100 outside so I wanted to sleep in my van for the time at the lake I understand about the gas but 40 bucks does not sound to bad apposed to having to take out my jet ski from the water then driving to a motel for 150 a night then having to set up camp for lunch/picnic but one good point about the carbon monoxide any useful suggestions about this danger?
I also turned a house window ac to fit in my van window but finding a vacant camp ground on the weekend with electrical units is very hard and I cant use a generator past 9pm there so that’s why I was asking if I can damage my van for leavening it on for 8 to 10 hrs I was told by someone I can fry the motor but he was like 70 years old and has no mechanic background

Leaving a dog in a car?

Can't answer your question. You'd have to be more specific about "not-so-hot" (actual temperature, if the sun is out (can dramatically increase the temp. in the car), what is a "cool" day? To you in Florida, 75 degrees might be a "cool" day, and no, I wouldn't leave a dog in a car in that temp. Generally I draw the line around 65 degrees, 70 if the day is cloudy (and I check frequently to make sure the sun doesn't make an unexpected appearance). Unless your dog is in a crate, you can't roll the windows half-way down or he could escape (or someone could reach in and unlock the door and steal him). Maybe 2 to 3 inches.

At night, I've left my dogs in the car all night (at a motel that wouldn't allow pets). Again, depends on the temp. and I check on them.

Five minutes? NOTHING you buy will take only 5 minutes.....

"What if you were to need to go into a store for less than 20 minutes, and you leave the car running with the windows rolled up and the air conditioner blasting, doors locked "

NEVER leave the car running with dogs inside. NEVER.

"if you saw a dog in a car with the windows down and he had a water bowl next to him, but it was warm outside, what would you do?"
I would look at how it is affecting THE DOG. Is he just sitting there, or at most lightly panting? Then I'd mind my own business and leave. If he was panting hard or in distress, I'd get the license #, go back into the store and ask Customer Service to page his owner. If he was in serious distress, if the windows are down far enough I can get my arm in, I'd unlock the door and take the dog out--otherwise I'd call the police to break into the car.

Another thing to keep in mind is that when people say they're in a store for 20 minutes, it's usually more like 30 to 40. And you never know if there might be a line-up at the check-out counter. Not a problem if you have someone with you (they can go out and check on the dogs, and get the air-conditioning going if need be). But if you're alone....

EDIT:

I just thought of a real easy barometer for you: if when you first get into your car, it's warm enough that you need the air conditioner on, then it's too warm to leave dogs in your car. Assuming of course that the car is out "in the elements" and not sitting in your garage.

What do I do when my car has a flat tire at night?

First you get a “donut” spare tire that fits your car and store it in the trunk. Then you get a AAA membership. It’s called “being prepared”. Or maybe you’d rather sit out there in the dark with a flat tire, or incur the cost of two tows. When you get the flat you call AAA and they’ll come out and mount the spare. They’ll throw the flat tire into the trunk. You drive home. In the morning you take your flat to a shop and see if they can fix the puncture. If not, you drive to the shop that does carry your brand of tire, replace the tire, and be on your way.

Can you keep flowers in a car over night?

Yes, they will be fine as long as they have a water supply and the temperature inside of the locked up car is not too hot or cold. The only thing that will cause them to wilt is freezing temperatures and excessively hot temperatures. As long as you put them in the car just when the sun goes down, they will be fine in the overnight temperatures. Look at the florist shops. To preserve freshness, they put the arranged bouquets of flowers in a refrigerated cooler (around 40 degrees) for their customers to view before purchasing. Use this as a positive example. Good Luck!...

Will my car get towed if i leave it at an auto repair shop overnight?

My car broke down on me and I called the shop but they were closed already so I want to pull my car over there and leave it over night. And I can't pull it to my apt because I'm supposed to move out today. Do you think the mechanics will be ok with that if they see my car there in their parking lot. I'll leave a note explaining my situation.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you

What happens if I leave a car in free public parking lot overnight?

I'm gonna go take Amtrack to NYC, but paid parking lots near the station are too expensive for multiple days of parking.
I see that there's a Burger King right next to the station, and it has a bunch of free parking spots.
What if I park my car there and leave it for a week or so, will it get towed?
