Did you like the "Man of Steel" movie?
I thought it was the best live action Superman movie I’ve ever seen.The only real criticisms I had were that the cape was too long, and the trunks were missing.

Go here: Man of Steel (2013)Wow. Talk about destruction. First off, let me say that anybody who has doubted this film because of it's "lack of humanity" is DEAD WRONG. I'm not saying that I speak for everyone, but there were several parts of this movie (no spoilers, don't worry) where I was more than a bit choked up, and wow, let's talk about the action sequences please. WOW. The sheer destruction and CGI is better than the Avengers, maybe even better than Iron Man 3 (and of course I'm only comparing the two in terms of visual effects). If I had any complaints about this movie, it would be about the pacing of the plot.It seems to go very fast, never really taking a moment to breathe. However, this is all done to cover a huge amount of material in a finite amount of film so it is forgivable. Man of Steel: 11 out of 10 stars for being not only the best Superman movie yet, but for possibly being THE definitive superhero movie. Don't watch it with the mindset of a critic. This is an entertaining, fun action movie, and is indeed a complete blockbuster at that. I'll strongly recommend you to watch MAN OF STEEL.
Should I watch any Superman movie before watching Man of Steel?
Not necessarily!! All the Superman & Spiderman flicks revolve around pretty much same plot in each installments. Superman: Kid gets dropped onto Earth by another planet (Kripton, to be precise) - raised by countryside farmer couples - He hides his superpower upon his dad's insistence - finally grows up & forced by circumstances to save the world using his powers from an alien invasion (ppl from Kripton again!!!)Spoiler: I never knew one pair of sunglasses can hide a person's identity!!!
Man of Steel (2013 movie): Why doesn't Lois get pulled in the singularity created by the strike on Zod's ship?
See its not lazy writing. People don't want to understand the script. That scene had a lot deeper meaning than you understood. It wasn't exactly a black hole. That singularity was made because of the collision of phatom drives. It was sucking only kryptonians and there stuffs or the rubble you see getting sucked it was because it was effected by kryptonian gravity weapon. So the things you see getting sucked up were either kryptonians or rubbles, debris and cars affected by kryptonian gravity weapon. And thats is exactly why Lois didn't get sucked in. Because neither she was a kryptonian nor she came into contact with kryptonian atmosphere. Thats why she falls freely but when Superman catched her..the singularity started sucking him in. You can clearly see sucking effect on superman but not on Lois.And watch the scene carefully. Colonel Hardy willingly crashes his planes through kryptonian world engine and thats what causes the singularity because his plane had kal-el's pod. Watch that scene again and watch carefully...you will notice everything I have wrote here.
Man of Steel vs Iron Man 3?
@The Defenestrato I know I would like to see a Flash movie too plus a Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, and Aquaman movie. But there is a difference between Marvel and DC Marvel: Only cares how much money the movie gets they don't care if the critics and viewers don't like it DC: Cares about everything, they care about how much money they get from the movie, if the viewers liked it, and if the critics liked it. That's why DC has less bad movies than Marvel. For example before Green Lantern the last bad review movie was Batman & Robin which came out in 1997. The last bad review movie for Marvel was Ghost Rider 2 which came out in 2012 and now they are making a 3rd one because they don't care if the people and critics don't like it they want money. Warner Bros wants the Justice League, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern 2, and Man of Steel to be perfect and how are they going to make it perfect with Nolan. In what order should i watch the Batman and Superman movies?
I'm really excited for the upcoming movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, but i haven't watched any of the Batman and Superman movies and i'm planning to watch them before the new one comes out, but since there are too many movies for each series, i don't know in what order i should watch them or if i have to watch them all. What is the significance of Lois Lane in the movie 'Man of Steel'?
This movie is first and foremost about Clark's journey to discovery about who and what he is. All other characters are peripheral at this point. I am sure that a second movie will bring the other characters more into focus given that Clark now works at the Daily Planet. In addition, Lois's role in this movie was to help bring him out of his life of solitude. She also was the bridge between Clark and the rest of humanity. The fact that she encountered him and had first contact before his existence was revealed may have helped to allay some of the military concerns that he could be a hostile.
Man of Steel (2013 movie): Why was the destruction of midtown Metropolis so clean?
Two words....PLOT HOLES. Unfortunately the writing left too many gaps and wasn't cohesive. That question may have to go on the list with other unanswered questions like:-How did Kal-El know he can fly?-How did Ka-El learn how to fly the Kryptonian ship?-Why did Kal-El not try to evacuate or have people evacuated from the destruction in Metropolis? -Why could he have not used Super-speed to save his dad? -Why didn't he drag Zod to a remote location away from people given that he was able to take him away from his mom"s house? I was optimistic that some of the questions would have been answered in Man of Steel 2, but I am doubtful this will happen in the announced Superman vs Batman.
Superman Man of Steel?
I just saw the movie Man of Steel. This movie had the right storyline, spectacular actions and special effects. A five star definitely for me. I missed the part of when General Zod was explaining how he escape the phantom zone. For those of you who saw the movie already, can you tell me how he escaped. I remember he and his team was frozen in ice before the explosion of Krypton. How did he escape ? Also I remember that the government found a spaceship and frozen bodies underneath the glacier. Who were those bodies ?
