Customer service representatives are the direct link between the company that they work for and the clients looking for service. They are the initial point of contact and it is their job to help customers, answer their questions and to provide assistance. Customer service representatives may perform a variety of duties depending on the type of company products and services provided to the public. What do you know about customer service?

The shortest way to explain it is this: customer service is about putting the customer in the spotlight. Customer experience is a more holistic term which focuses on the entire customer journey. A Harvard Business Review article defines it as cumulative experiences across multiple touchpoints and in multiple channels over time.A company that ensures a great customer experience don’t just settle and do its best with single transactions but also seek to understand the broader reasons for the call, address the root causes, and create feedback loops so they can continuously improve interactions upstream and downstream from the call.It then goes to follow that customer service representatives should be able to deliver the help that customers need. Reps are the face of the company and what they show customers reflect the company’s values and culture. In order to boost customer experience, you need to be prepared and have the necessary information about your customers. This will let you better market and craft your product so consumers would come back to them for more. These data are stored in databases like CRMs, ERP, and helpdesk software. Solutions like Tenfold aggregates information from these platforms and presents them in a single unified view.Having the proper tools for your customer facing teams would increase productivity and save the time of both sales rep and customer because they wouldn’t have to repeatedly give details such as their account number which they may have already given out in previous calls.

What does customer service mean to the customer?

In simple terms Customer service means making sure the customer is delivered exactly what was promised and committed at the time of online purchase or time of sale by a salesperson — in the assured time frame !Needless to add, the various customer contact points, along the way, add up to giving the customer a great overall experience of your service. If your receptionist, or the salesperson, or the call centre exec/support exec is impatient or rude, it does not matter how good your product is !While many top service oriented companies like Amazon and Walmart do try hard to try and deliver customer focussed service, they too have their gaps and shortcomings ! Mapping the END-TO-END customer life cycle and identifying each of the customer touch points is what makes an average company great ! In critical cases, when you need to escalate issues you typically cannot reach the CEO or equivalent —similarly there is no clear means or avenue of capturing the voice of the customer in case they have any ideas to share, or suggestions to make !When the markets are large and opportunities big, like in India, continuous market driven growth of business Y.O.Y. can very often give the organisation the feeling of having done the right things but this can be deceptive !

What are customer service systems?

What is CRM ?What is Customer Relationship Management ?What is Pipedrive ?Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is an umbrella term for all the structures your company uses to guide interactions and relationships with customers. It includes not only guidelines for how direct interactions take place, but also systems for organizing and tracking all the relevant information — meetings, proposals, sales conversions, and more.A CRM system pulls together lots of data to show your business how well (or poorly) the relationships with customers are being handled, and how that’s affecting business. So in simplest terms, think of your CRM as a unique system for managing client relationships. Why CRM is necessaryMany businesses don’t have an organized system for managing their relationships with customers. And that’s a big problem. Executives are used to managing their employees. But often, they leave it up to salespeople to manage their relationships with customers however they want — whether those customers are individuals (in B2C) or other businesses (in B2B). This means that multiple people at the same company may have wildly different ways of operating. This lack of direction often leads to failure. It’s a big reason that nearly half of salespeople miss their annual quotas.Adopting a CRM solution changes that. And why I say that Pipedrive can be the best solution?Simplicity and clarity make it easy to learn and deploy.Customizable elements allows you to change it until it is ideal for your company profile.Low prices don't kill the budget.Pipedrive speaks for itself, so check out it on your own. With this LINK, you can test it for 45 days instead of 14, so I think is a good way to start.
