Which Artists Are Smart People Most Likely To Listen To

What kind of music do the most intelligent people listen to?

Typically smart people listen to music what appeals to their own taste, while stupid people listen to music which appeals to their group of reference. Smart people tend to be individualists while the lesser endowed of the cerebral performance tend to be herd souls. But there is a correlation - not causation - between IQ and musical taste; the higher one’s IQ is, the more he or she prefers complex melodies and lyrics, while the lower it is, the higher preference on rhythm. There is also a weird - really weird - correlation between latitude and musical preference: the closer one’s home is the Equator, the higher the preference of ‘light’ musical styles like reggae, soca or calypso, while the higher the latitude and closer to poles, the higher the preference of ‘dark’ musical styles like heavy metal. Unfortunately, latitude and IQ has also correlation: the average IQ tends to be the lowest on Equator and rise towards both poles, North and South. My own experience is that the most intelligent people tend to prefer classical music and prog metal. The reason is simple: classical music is extremely complex and full of all kinds of melodic and harmonic variations and decorations - and prog metal is today’s classical.Other “heavy” or “hard” styles, such as nerdcore, death metal, hero metal, experimental rock, progressive rock and art rock tend to be also popular amongst the highly intelligent. If someone likes Queen, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, David Bowie or Led Zeppelin, he or she is likely to be quite bright. Many highly intelligent are also into jazz, bepop, jazz rock and crossover styles.

Why are autistic people so intelligent!?!?!?

Interesting question autistic people have increased intelligence and memory, because the chemicals in the brain increases the intelligence and lowers the chemicals in parts of the brain that deal with talking to people aka socializing. Well that's what I think. I am a high functioning autistic and have incredible memory I remember basically everything. It's amazing.

Does higher intelligence lead to insanity?

Highly intelligent people are often perceptive of things that other people are not, and can see much that is disfigured, ugly, or dishonest in their environment that others might not notice.

Highly intelligent people also desire solitude, I can see where this can cause a person to be disconnected from the perceived normal people. Ultimately causing them to not see each other as rational, the intelligent seeing the norm as irrational and the norm seeing the intelligent as the same.

Are the intelligent predestined to a live a life of solitude and despair? Ultimately leading to insanity?

Do more intelligent people listen to music more often than unintelligent people?

Lol, that’s a pretty funny question, but not without merit, so I’ll give you my take on it.Nearly everyone enjoys music, even some deaf people enjoy music (they can feel the “beat” or vibrations in the air from percussive instruments). I’d say very few people dislike music, although many people dislike certain types of music, myself included (although there always seems to be an exception). I have heard of, and met, a few people that just don’t like music, but they’re few and far between. We’ve established that most people like music, but the question regards to whether intelligent people listen to music more than unintelligent people. I’d say not, though I haven’t seen any studies related to the question. What I think is more likely, is that intelligent people (as a whole, certainly you couldn’t do this on an individual basis) probably listen to different styles of music than unintelligent people. While I really have nothing to back this up other than personal observation, to me it just kind of makes sense, and here’s why.Less intelligent people seem to have more basic tastes overall. From what I’ve personally seen, they’re more prone to listening to things like pop/rock/rap/country, and not other more complex musical types like classical or jazz. Of course, there are less intelligent people that enjoy things like classical or jazz, but overall, I think you’d find that there is a higher percentage of intelligent people that enjoy more complex musical styles than unintelligent people. Of course this is just my opinion, which is based on personal observations. So unintelligent people listen to music less than intelligent people? I doubt it, I just think they probably listen to “less intelligent” music (if there really is such a thing).
