Best motorcycle movie?

Here are four of them. You can search them at IMDB, but these are just as good as Easy Rider, if not better.

1. "The Wild One" starring Marlon Brando This is a classic motorcycle movie. It's based on the infamous Hollister incident that occurred in 1947. Brando plays Johnny, leader of the Black Rebels Motorcycle Club (BRMC). They ride into town with chips on their shoulders and things get out-of-hand. Mary Murphy plays a local town girl that falls for Johnny. This is a must see motorcycle movie. The movie is in black and white and, in my opinion, is one of the best movies of all time. This is probably as good a role as Brando every plated, up there with On the Waterfront, in my opinion.

In "Born to Ride", John Stamos plays a super motorcycle mechanic and rider during World War II. He rides his Harley into a military ceremony to impress the Colonel's daughter. It turns out that the ceremony is a ragtag unit of motorcycle soldiers in need of training. After witnessing Stamos' expert riding, the Colonel arranges for him to sign-on to shape up his new motorcycle unit. A secret military mission behind enemy lines forces the unit to get fit-for-fighting in a hurry. This is an action motorcycle film about motorcycles. It has some great motorcycle stunts, an engaging love story, and lots of military Harleys. Awsome flick with a hell of a lot of riding (you may have seen a clip of this on Pulp Fiction, in Butch's motel room scene).

"Electra Glide in Blue" stars Robert Blake as an Arizona cop who rides a Harley Electra Glide. Blake identifies with the hippies. He finds himself promoted for exposing a murder but his basic virility gets him demoted back to his bike where he finds conflict with the hippies. The ending is somewhat of a downer but not as bad as what he was supposed to have done to his wife in real life.

"Girl on a Motorcycle" is an original uncensored European version of the classic film. Marianne Faithful stars as the Girl who leaves her newlywed husband and sets out on her Harley-Davidson to run away to her former lover. For the journey, she is wearing a leather jumpsuit with nothing underneath. This was hot, and I still think of her.

All in all pretty good movies. Take a gander at them.

Best motorcycle for teenage rider?

I'm turning 16 soon and im gonna get my regular license and then my motorcycle license. I started riding dirt bikes when i was 8 but haven't ridden any street bikes. So what kind should i get? Sport bike or cruiser? Or something else?

What are the best drifting motorcycles?

Obviously flat track and speedway racing bikes. They look similar but are in no way related. Flat track is popular in the U.S. and can use any make of dirt bike, but the top level use special Harleys. Speedway is big in Europe and use special made bikes with no brakes and front wheels that eat your feet. They're almost impossible for novices to ride more that a few seconds. Both sports are hugely entertaining.
EDIT - drifting on the street is both illegal and highly dangerous. Anyone nuts enough to try it wants something light enough to throw around, lots of horses and a really snappy throttle response. Any make has models that fit that bill, all you need is a rider who likes road rash.

What is the best starter motorcycle for a 17 year old.?

Here is what I recommend. Check for a M/C safety course nearby. Here is why.
They provide bikes to learn on. SO you can sit a few and see what feels right. It's usually a 16 hour very valuable course. Most states use your cert from the class as your road test for your endorsement on your license. AND it will save about 20-30% on your insurance besides getting tips to stay alive. It usually runs about $300. But it pays back 10 fold. And what's your life worth?

Having said that. Make sure when you sit it that both feet sit flat on the ground. This is a must for balance, control and fit. Tippy toes will not cut it. Your center of gravity will not perform well with the design of the bike. For your size I would not go with anything smaller than a 750cc. I prefer the Honda Nighthawks. If you are short legged and long body then a Honda Magna sits lower to the ground.

And one more thing. Try and get a shaft drive instead of chain. Nearly zero maintenance as opposed to new chain and sprockets every 8-10k miles of heavy use, chain adjustments and the added expense of chain lube every week not to mention the mess.

Best motorcycle helmet in both quality and price?

A few years ago, Motorcyclist magazine did an independent and well documented testing of many different helmet manufacturer's products. The results were astounding. They lost several advertising accounts from some of the manufacturer's whose product was deemed Not Acceptable, or Marginal Acceptance.

The top rated helmets were all in the lower price range. The highest rated helmet retailed for @ $130. This helmet actually outscored many helmets priced above $500, or even more.

The testing was done by an independent laboratory based on "real world" usages such as various speed/impact, angled impact, face-mask damage, crush damage, interior damage...All helmets were damaged. Some helmets were damaged much less than others. The superior rated helmets sustained the least amount of damage overall.

Taken on that basis, one can surmise that cost or advertising claims have nothing to do with product integrity. Specious questioning at best: "is your head worth $100, or $500?", or "what is your brain worth?", name recognition, or popularity, is literally worthless.

With safety in mind, one will choose the helmet that is highly rated. Other than this one priority, choose the helmet that fits your head, budget and life style the best. Price ranges usually reflect style, graphics, comfort, weight and ventilation.
