Which Branch Of The Military Should I Join If Any And What Should I Do

Which military branch should I join?

Well, here it is...Army, Navy, Air Force & the Marines will ALL give you the opportunity to travel some may offer more than the others.. For the most part the benefits are generally the same for each of the branches. The important thing in deciding what branch to join is to determine what job you would like to do in the military first. Once you figure out which job you want to do find out what branch or branches have to offer for the job in question. Get as many facts as you can from as many sources as you can and hope that they are indeed, Facts.

Once you have narrowed down the job and the branch, get your job of choice guaranteed. Each branch may try to push you in a certain direction but don't let them push you in a direction that doesn't suit you. Until you swear in, )that means hold up your hand and promise to defend the US against all enemies, forign and domestic) you are not obligated to do anything. This is very important to remember, because they will do their best to push you into something that they want if they can. If what you want to do isn't available at a certain time in one branch check out the other services before you make a decision to join a certain branch doing a job you don't want because that is all they have available. I have mentioned the main branches don't forget to look into the Coast Guard as well, there may be possibilities there that might suit you as well.

The military is a fine career choice for many people and if you choose to take that path. Just remember, ONLY take the job you WANT and get it GUARANTEED! Feel free to contact me if you would like.

Which branch of the military should I join?

Im active duty Navy right now. This is what I have noticed:
Army- Low recruitment= high bonuses but they have the lowest standards of living

Marines- You really have to want to be a marine... they don't mess around. Hard to get into technical programs. A lot of PT. Harder than some branches to get promoted.

Navy- A huge variety of careers. Transition from civilian to soldier not to difficult. At sea a lot during your first tour. Some very long days underway.

Coast Guard- Cake. I was talkin to a gas turbine mechanic in the coast guard today. He just came back from a 30 day tour which included: Key West, Fl
Cozumel, mexico some columdian island....and a couple more very cool places. This guy is getting out in jan. looking to make $100 per hour in miami.

Air Force- My best friend has been in there for five years. They have the best standard of living and the easiest working hours.

I ranked them from worst to best in my opinion. Hope this helps- I know it would have if I read it before I joined. Any other questions just email me, I know someone in active duty from each branch.

Which branch of the military should I join?

It depends on what you want from your military experience.Air Force - Generally at home with your family, but with many installations overseas for both you and your family.Navy - On ship and away from family 90% of the time.Army - Somewhere between the Air Force and the Navy for away time, but with a high probability of being in a conflict region.Marines - The Navy’s Army, so also a high percentage away from family and a very high chance of being in a conflict region.Coast Guard - Again ship time. Some would say you won’t be involved in a conflict, but who mapped all the ports before we got into the Gulf War area? You guessed it, the Coast Guard. They do more than just work off the coast of America. As for your job, given the world situation do something you are interested in, but don’t think of your military job as your life job/career. I mentored a number of returning combat veterans via a corporate program setup to help integrate combat veterans into civilian life. The one common trait with everyone I worked with, enlisted and officers, was that they didn’t want to do what they did “over there.” It didn’t matter if they were a carpenter, firefighter, administration clerk, or infantryman. No matter what the job, they didn’t not want to do it if they had done that job in a conflict zone.

How should I choose which branch of the military To join?

Decide if you like living outside. If not, go Navy.If you are willing to live outside under the right circumstances; move on to deciding which job you want to do.Go with the branch the guarantees you (IN WRITING*) that you will have that job.If more than one branch will give you the job you want (IN WRITING*) then go with the one who will guarantee you the biggest signing bonus (IN WRITING*) .Education benefits are pretty much the same across all branches. Don’t let them fool you on that one.If the job (IN WRITING*) and the signing bonus (IN WRITING*) are the same (IN WRITING*) then start asking for other things like free advancement, guaranteed postings, bonus pay, etc. and see what they say (IN WRITING*).If you still haven’t got it down to one, flip a coin.*NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER forget that that NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING a recruiter verbally promises you is EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER guaranteed unless it is PRINTED ON YOUR CONTRACT.People will tell you if you ask that recruiters lied to them and screwed them over. These people are the ones who assumed that the verbal promises their recruiters made were binding and SIGNED their CONTRACT without making sure all those promises were PRINTED ON THEIR CONTRACT.Recruiters will promise you the moon, a million bucks, a supermodel girlfriend (not kidding) and everything in between. If these promises do not appear ON your contract, YOU WILL NOT GET THEM. Not your school, not your job, not your bonus… NOTHING!Get it in writing, or get it in your dreams. You are never required to sign anything. You will never “lose” anything by walking away and refusing to sign if something isn’t right. Your recruiters are not your buddies, and the hangdog looks you get when you hesitate are acts designed to manipulate you. Period.90% of the disappointment most servicemembers go through is due to not having enough backbone and having too much trust when negotiating their CONTRACTS.

I Really want to Join the Military, Which branch should I join?

I don't understand all the differences between them, they seem to have a lot in common. Please give me real life examples of their tasks and operations.
Thank you.

Which branch of the military should I join if I want to see action (by action I mean more than just sitting around at a base)?

Instead of asking which military branch you will have the best chance of seeing action by joining you need to look at what MOS you should choose..Marine Corps units especially the combat arms fields are always training and deploying..The same goes for Army infantry units..The US Navy is always out doing their thing and the Air Force Para Rescue troops are some of the most highly trained military personnel in the world..I was a Marine Corps Grunt and although we did have our down time ,which I cherished ,we were also on the go for two straight years..I did more cool stuff and saw more places in those two years than most people will ever do or see in a lifetime..I ran around jungles and desert carrying guns ,I rode Amtraks from ships to the beach, I got to jump out of helicopters into the Pacific Ocean ,I rode ships ,I walked through a minefield and had artillery fired at me..I made a complete trip around the world before I turned 21 years old and got to visit five different countries..I did so much as a grunt that my last year and six months in the Marines I welcomed becoming a TAD lifeguard who worked on the beach everyday..I can only speak for being a Marine Grunt but I would be willing to bet that Army Infantry guys get to do similar stuff..The group that I have tons of respect for are Sailors in the US Navy..I would go insane on a ship..The two times that I rode on ships I puked like no human being has ever puked before..If you want to be on the go all the time and you want the chance to do all the cool military stuff that you see on the movies then the Marine Corps Infantry would be your sure bet but you need to realize that although you will get to do things that some people only dream of doing you will also be volunteering for one of the hardest and most physically demanding jobs in the world..It is not easy being a grunt but to me it was so worth it because I did stuff that most people never dream of doing..WAR EAGLE

What branch of military should I join if I want to be deployed but I am not super ripped?

Regardless of your physical condition ask yourself “Am I inclined to exercise more than I have to?”If you said yes then The Army or Marines are a likely better fitIf no, then The Airforce or Navy(or Coast Guard!) might be more suitable.Obviously then you have exceptions. Only a small percentage of jobs in the Army are very physically demanding. Infantry is awesome and full of exertion but it has plenty of people who scrape by without being in great shape. It helps your career to be in good shape in the military- along with a great attitude, humility, a sharp mind and an understated sense of humor.Likewise you will find physically exerting jobs in the Navy and Air Force that will test any physique. You have to seek those out though. The REAL question is, how do you want to live?Do you want adventure and a 1000% commitment 24/7? Then infantry in the Army or marines is for you.Do you prefer adventure but only half of the time? Maybe sign up for a support MOS/career.Do you want to live in comfort and serve your country while earning a college degree? Join the Air Force or Navy. These are gross generalizations but they should serve to help you zero in on your military career.
