Which Brand/type Of Tire Best For My Chevy Cruze

Which is the best tyres for Chevrolet beat in india?

Currently, i own Beat LT petrol 2010 model, running on Apollo Accelere 155/70 R14 stock which were there on the showroom car.Recently, completed 30k Km and now planning to upgrade all 4 with Apollo Accelere 165/70 R14. Want to have a bit wider base than the present model which will help highway driving. Many people find 175/65 with upgrade rim size of 5j. Beat Petrol/Diesel comes with factory fitted 4.5j rims and not 5j. If you are ready to update the rims from 14 inches to 15 then its not an issue.I have decided to stay with the same rim size and go for a bit wider base. I am quiet satisfied with Apollo performance so going for the same brand. There are many other brand options like Michelin Energy XM2, Yokohoma Earth 1 (especially designed for Indian roads), GoodYear DP C1, Bridgestone Turanza. If you have any doubts please visit the following related links to read moreChevy Beat : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread - Team-BHPBuy car tyres for Chevrolet Beat Ls Lt Lpg2015 CHEVROLET BEAT Tyres | Michelin Tyre SelectorIs it really necessary to upgrade tyre in Chevy Beat?My last word will be1. Don’t do frequent highway trip then buy Apollo Accelere 155/70 R142. Do more Highway trip and want bid wider grip go for Apollo Accelere 165/70 R143. If you believe in YOLO then go for Michelin or Yokohoma with bigger wider and superior tires for the performance enthusiast in you.

2011 chevy cruze top speed?

i have this thing where just for giggles i need to know what top speeds on my cars are and experience it. So while i was driving today my friend are i were driving to figure out both of our tops speeds. What i learned made me not very happy. while i was driving i put it in auto mode figuring that would yeild the best top speed. At 115MPH my RPM gauge read 6,300K. i flipped it over into manuel mode and realized it was only in 5th gear. i popped it into 6th and well the speed dropped to 110MPH floored.Do i put it back into auto and it went back into 5th. so i came to the conclusion i really only have 5 gears and not 6. Why did i pay the money to get a "six" speed car when i could of got a lot nicer car that was a true six speed. Any answers to this?

PS- its a 2011 chevy cruze LS NON turbo 1.8L

Which brand/type of tire best for my chevy cruze?

I want a tire that is not very noisy, i like the lower profile look (but not necessarily a low profile tire, just no donuts), price range lower 100's but I would go up to $150 if it meant a higher warranty, prettier looking tire.

any brand, model suggestions?

215/55R17

Will my 215/65/R16 winter tires fit my new Chevy cruze which call for 215/60/R16?

They will definitely fit... No doubt about it at all. The only difference will be that its around a 4% difference in speed, so when your speedometer says 50mph, you're really going 52mph.

---------------------------------------...

A good thing for you to know though, is your going to find out who the scammer auto places are in your area... They will only want to install the 215/60s and not the 65s so they will make a sale on new tires.

So if that happens, then tell them to install the 65's or you will go somewhere else.

---------------------------------------...
You can install tires from 195/75r16 and up to 235/45r16 on 16 inch rims with your car. They will have different weight ratings so be sure to only go a couple weight limits down. The lower the weight limit, the less life the tires usually have(at least on a heavier car)

The more you wander from the stock diameter and width size, the more the inaccuracy between the dash and actual will be.

Mazda 3 vs Chevrolet Cruze?

Either decision you get a great vehicle, so do not worry about making a bad choice here. I would say the Mazda3 skyactiv is the better 1.6l engine because Mazda redesigned the engine, transmission and chassis to all work together seamlessly from a clean sheet of paper. It is one of the best money can buy in a compact. The Mazda3 has a 14.9 gallon tank you can get at least 410 miles on a tank of gas and as high as 545 miles on a tank of gas.

My best friend owns a Chevy Cruze and loves it. She is getting on a tank of gas somewhere in the mid to lower 400s in miles. You know it depends how you drive. Recently, I drove mine like what you see on tv where the car is in the streets and goes up a hill leaps over, it bottoms out and scrapes sending sparks out of the rear, then making a sharp left burning tires, smelling smoke then gunned the engine and sped off. The Mazda 3 is built to give that type of confidence on the road. (This did not happen just to make a point) The Mazda 3 is a driver's car, it is very precise and solid. I would think you will enjoy the features and the experience of owning the car.

Like I said earlier you can't go wrong. I have the skyactiv because Mazda mechanically built a brand new car. They began with the 04 mazda 3 up until this point 2012. It is really amazing. my suggestion would to drive both an see what makes sense for the type of day to day driving. Then make a decision, you will learn a lot more in making an informed decision.

Don't fret.

Enjoy

Which are the best brands of used cars to buy, with 100-150,000 miles that I can drive for at least 3 years, 2003 or newer?

I always answer Toyota to this type of question. If you look at the lists posted in another answer you will see that Toyota and Honda dominate reliability. I lean towards Toyota likely it is a familiarity bias. Lexus is also a great option as it is Toyota’s luxury brand. I won’t go into how many I’ve owned but I will say in the last 20 years of driving no Toyota has left me on the side of the road.On a side note, I bought my wife a 10 year old Lexus and when it came time to have recall work done my nearest Lexus dealer sent a car for my wife to drive and took her car to the dealer. The nearest dealer is 1.5 hours from my home and they treat us like royalty. I do all of my own maintenance but I have a friend who has the same dealer do oil changes and they bring his wife a loaner and drive his car to Lexus for the maintenance. If you want cheap reliability buy a Toyota, if you can afford a used Lexus you get the same reliability but gain membership to an exclusive club. Additionally, I visited a different Lexus dealership to order a part and they treated me like I was buying a new car. Top notch customer service.

My father wants to buy a sedan. Which is the best choice?

First off, why does an SUV tire him? Is it the mental fatigue to drive a big vehicle in traffic or narrow streets ? Or is it physical discomfort, due to seating geometry and/or suspension tuning? If you have a lot of bad roads, a sedan isn’t going to make things better. If you have somewhat good roads with not much undulations, even if the tarred surface is rough with small gravelly pebbles distinguishable (few bumps/potholes here and there excepted) , then a sedan will be fine.Next, which dealers exist in Jammu/Rajouri who are of good repute to do honest and competent maintenance/repair work? That should be a third to half the decision weight-age.Based on that, in order of preference based on car attributed (hence not brand or dealer reputation)1. VW Jetta (best dynamics/handling, solid chassis, good ride quality)2. Skoda Octavia (good handling, nice chassis, good ride quality)3. Toyota Corolla Altis (high reliability, predictable maintenance, good ride)4. Chevrolet Cruze (nice engine, good chassis, decent ride quality, poor seat/cabin space for the size/segment)5. Hyundai Elantra (nice interiors, decent ride quality, not as dynamically sorted)Renault Fluence is now discontinued, else I would put that in #3.Alternatively, if a pure SUV is not wanted, look for soft-roaders :Skoda YetiSuzuki S-crossHyundai Creta

CHEVY!!

Do Chevrolet beat diesel a good choice, I have heard it creates problem after 30000kms?

Chevrolet Beat Diesel is a fine choice but I suggest,  you also consider the rivals before making the final decision, if you want to buy the car at all.Chevrolet Beat  comes with a 1 L diesel motor which was jointly developed by G.M. and Fiat. It is the derivative of famous 1.3 L engine which find its way in Maruti and Tata. It quite surprising that GM is last to launch this engine in India. This engine develops a fair 58 bhp and 150 Nm at 1750 rpm. Its a fairly balanced engine considering its 3 cylinder. Infact vibration levels are so nicely damped that you don't feel any crude grunt when you crank the engine. Fixed geometry turbocharger ensures that you enjoy driving in city. Overall, its a fun drive in city but lacks a punch needed at highways and open  stretches. Now regarding your apprehensions, 1. Car has a warranty of 1,00,000 Km / 3 years which makes it at par with the competition.2. This is a derivative of most common engine  found in Indian cars ( Maruti, Tata Fiat etc)Hence it can be safely assumed that you won't find any trouble before or after 30000 km.Summing up;Pros of this engine:1. Fun city drive.2. Overall fuel efficiency is good.3. Little turbo lag.4. If you bring the engine close to the stalling point, the ECM automatically raises the rpms a  bit to keep engine from stalling5. Vibration levels are excellently controlled.Cons1. Lacks punchy performance as compared to its rivals.2. At high rpm, engine noise increase and rumble becomes evident. So, overall there is no need to doubt this engine but I also suggest you to look at other rivals as the Beat is becoming old and needs to be replaced with a new generation. Also there are lots of other good cars with some remarkable engines available in  market.Hope it helps!
