What is the word for judging a person based on appearance?
It’s called being normal, your first point of contact with anyone is their appearance, it can’t be anything else can it? You see them, you make a judgement, that’s the way of the world.I think you might be confusing judging with being judgmental. The former is an unconscious response to a stimulus, in other words you see something and you make a judgement on it.The latter is about judging someone in such a way that makes you feel better about yourself. It is most definitely a conscious action.It’s a lot easier to point the finger away from ourselves than it is to point it back and ask “why do I need to be judgmental, what psychological box is it ticking in my psyche”?
Why do we judge people by their appearances?
I love this question!We are judged by outer appearances because our outer appearances are a good indication of what is going on inside.Now I must say this before I go to far. Judgement has such a negative connotation. Judgement is not, of itself, bad. Judgement, and specifically good judgement is a necessary part of life. It’s what protects us from bad food, going to seedy places, watching unsavory material, or getting into situations we would be sorry about.Judgement can be a good thing.But there is a line and every person needs to draw it for themselves where it is. Society at large will draw lines and then try to impose them on people, but judgement is still not bad unless you’re a jackass about it. The farther from societal lines you get, the more you will be judged (oh yes, judgement is a two way street - for every person offended by the judgement of somebody else, the offended is judging too!).The issue is that Judging, and how to judge kindly is a learned trait. It is the correct and useful application of knowledge which grants Wisdom, and with wisdom comes just judgement. I firmly believe that this is what is actually meant by the “Judge not that ye be not judged…” it just means judge with just and wise judgement for with what judgement you judge you shall also be judged.We cannot stop judging, but we can work to know that our judgments are just, and wise.
Should people be judge by their color or differences?

Do you judge people by their appearances? If so, are you always right?
Most people judge the people just by looking at their appearances because that's the first thing visible to us. The appearance tells a lot about a person. The way he dress, the shoes he wears, even the color of the dress will tell us about the mood of the person. Its very important to present ourselves in our best way. In interviews and presentation, your appearance is first observed. Its not good if you go to present yourself about the TRUTH OF LIFE dressing like a pickpocketer.Are these always right..? Umm…., not always. Well, some say don't judge a book by its cover. Even if we have some picture from the appearance, we have to wait and know about that person before deciding about the person. That's the best way. For example, I wore some kickass dress on the way to a party, and on the way something ridiculous happened and there is all mud over my dress, keeping the sadness aside, think about what the people decide when they see this. But they don't know it was a kick ass dress a while ago.So, its not always appropriate to judge people just by their appearances. Who knows, the homeless man at the end of your street may turn to be A DOCTOR IN ASTROPHYSICS.!!
Why do women have bad judgments in character?
It seems like a lot of them I've met jump to some pretty stereotypical, racist, sexist conclusions before they even meet/talk to a person. They are far from open minded. I mean its one thing to say something but I notice when I'm standing by one they will judge whether or not they want to talk to a person by the way hes dressed or even his appearance, hair, color, who is he with and everything. I do believe your appearance is part of your personality but not to the point where I can make a pure judgment call and write it off and put that judgement away as the truth. I've seen this way of judging people lead to more mistakes than actually making an accurate judgment call.
Why do people judge other peoples appearances?
like litterally i have very pale icy skin and every body looks at me like im sick or i have no blood in my body, my self asteam is going down the drain and im starting to judge my self on my skin color. i also have very blue eyes and brown hair and people (my "friends") tell me if i had blonde or white hair that i would be albino but i dont know what there talking about. my friends were talking about what kind of guy they were interested in and all of them said that they are interested in tan surfer guys and i said that im interested in pale guys mostly because im used to it. just yesterday another group was talking to this girl of how pale she is and she yelled out loud like very loud "hey im not as pale as briteny!" (which is me) and she came over to me and judged her skin tone to me and everybody went around me putting there legs up to mine saying that they are glad that they have tanned skin and they tell me that i dont look healthy and i go right back at them and i made a bad decision to say that they arnt healthy and all of them looked at me in such a mean way and one of the meanest girls in my grade and she told me "B*TCH look at your self you are a walking dead girl!" i walked away crying my eyes out and nobody went after to confort me. i have thought so many times of cutting my self because of my depression but i knew that will never do anything to help me. but i just want to know why do they do that? its gotton way out of controll! people dont relize what they are doing to me.....

Why do people judge based on skin color?
It's not just a persons skin color. You can pretty accurately determine how a person will be based on their appearance, the way they carry themself etc.
