Personally I don’t think seattle is a great place for a family vacay. Unless you want to spend a lot of your time explaining the homless drug addicts living, begging, urinating, having sex, and leaving needles everywhere.Portland is cleaner, and more managable. If you have boys they would love the big engines at the rail road museum,These are real steam engines, They give a great lesson on how the pacific northwest was built and where the money for the big houses on the hill came from. Portland also has a great zooIn the summer there are lots of baby animals too see, It’s very family friendly if you bring Fido on your vacation, there are many good dog parks as well, most of them without homeless camping there. Another fun thing in Portland are the food trucksThere are all kinds of food trucks in portland you can get everything from tex mex to northwest salmon and eat outside in park like settings, no worries if your child isn’t in the best mood that day.And after you wear your self out with zoos, museums, and shopping, spend a few days at the beautiful Oregon coast. I think it is only an hour and a half drive from portland to cannon beach. Or any beach in oregon, unlike washington, the beaches in Oregon are public, and if you brought Fido he will have a good time running on the endless sandy beaches, Seattle will give you a 500 dollar ticket if you take your dog to the beach.With natural beauty family friendly resturantslike pig and pancake or tour the light houseThen again you might want to just chill on the beach by that time.So, for my money, I would head to Oregon, I live in Washington, but I vacation in Oregon.

This is an interesting question because of changes over time and competition (UPS, FedEx).I have worked in logistics for over a decade. I’m also an avid fan of the USPS. I was born in 1973 Seattle and used the mail a lot growing up. It used to be you could count on a first class letter to be delivered from Seattle to Portland in 2, sometimes 3 days.I’ve noticed over the last 10+ years that it is taking longer for that same first class letter to make the trip. USPS does not guarantee any time frame with first class.Priority mail is a more expensive service and does guarantee 2 day service depending on time of day it was dropped off and at what location.Enter UPS. UPS base Ground service is delivered overnight from Washington to Oregon and Northern California. How long does it take for normal mail to reach another city in Washington from washington?
The mail between major places or places along major routes is remarkably quick and likely to be delivered in 1 or 2 days. Mail between small towns that are off the beaten path may be routed away and come back.I don’t know the details of how this item would travel, but let’s hypothesize two letters sent from Chelan. One goes to Spokane (150 miles) and the other to Stehekin (40 miles). I guarantee that there is faster service for the item to Spokane since that is a bigger city and maybe even a sorting center. Probably it’s delivered the next day. The letter to Stehekin at minimum goes to Wenatchee and comes back. It might even go to Spokane and then has to wind its way back to Chelan and eventually Stehekin.So “normal” mail from Bellingham to Pasco will rarely be more than a couple of days. What’s normal though? “Normal” mail from Endicott to Conconully could be most of a week even though the distance is far shorter.

During the morning and afternoon rush hours - it could be as long as 1.5 to two hours. If traffic flows smoothly, then it is a little over an hour - the problem is that there are two many places for it not to flow smoothly. The biggest trouble spot is still the I-5 - US 16 interchange right by the Tacoma Mall. If there are any problems there or coming up or down the Tacoma Hill by 38th Street, it will be 1.5 hours, at least.

Surprisingly, it is only a 60 hour walk of 182 miles which avoids I-5. 60 hours is five days of long walks: 12 hours each day with with eight hours for sleeping and four hours for resting, meals, and getting going. I have ridden my bicycle from Seattle to Portland. It took just over 12 hours. But that was in the fully supported Seattle To Portland Bicycle Classic so I didn't have to carry anything or look for food or drink.

Metropolitan State College of Denver is a very affordable collage it only $1,620.44 for resident students and $5,974.64 for out of state students. they do offer Business Major, and they have tons of Music and Art Minors as well. my sister goes their and she say its a very good school.
