Which city in Germany should I visit with my mom?

Here is a little about us:
We are planning on staying for a week in october.
I am 17.
We don't like nightlife or big cities.
We want something peaceful and more on the family friendly side.
We do like beer lol but it's not a necessity.
Mom can't walk too long so the sights must be reachable by car/taxi.
I speak basic German.

We REALLY want to go, please help!! 10 pts!

If I have 6 days to visit Germany, which cities should I go to?

You have six days. It would not be wise to consider traveling to more than two cities. So, in my opinion you have 4-5 options. If you are fine with revisiting, I would say go for Berlin and Hamburg. Some people like to see the changes their cities have been through. If you are one of them, you will be amazed, esp. with Berlin. If you want to visit one city from your last experience, and one new one, then I can suggest make it Berlin and Munich. If you want to visit cities other than mentioned, I could receommend Dresden and Cologne. All in all, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Dresden and Cologne are what I would suggest you pick from. You may include Nuremberg as well, but I would keep it last in the list. All these have great culture, history and have adapted very well to modernization and multicultural diaspora. It's always amazing to visit these cities. This is just my personal opinion. Have fun and enjoy Germany! :)

What are the best cities to visit in Germany?

I would add Koblenz to your list.  It's a nice place central in the Rhein valley.  Plenty of opportunities to try the local world-famous wines, there.Duesseldorf probably wouldn't be on my list - except for the Altstadt I don't feel that there is as much to see there.  You may have other good reasons for being there, though.Munich is worth it to get the feel of Bavarian culture, which is distinctly different from the rest of Germany.Berlin is one of my favourite cities in the world.I would also consider spending time in smaller towns in more out-of-the-way places, to get an idea of a different side of German culture.  Place like Goettigen, Hameln, and Marburg (there are plenty more)8 locations means you are spending 4 days in each, with one day travel between them.  That isn't too bad.

If you only had 5-6 days in Germany, what cities would you visit? Why?

Dresden and Berlin -  3 days each. Dresden for it's beautiful old town, and the breathtaking views in the Saxonian Switzerland. Berlin for it's war related history, wall, nightlife, and culture. This way you don't spend more time travelling either.

Cities that would be worth visiting in germany?

Hamburg - Germany´s boomtown - great sights, night life, entertainment, art, theater, restaurants ....

Luebeck

Stade small old city

Lueneburg

Rottweil

Freiburg / Breisgau

I'm going to visit Germany for 4 days in February. In which city should my accommodation be? Which places should I visit? What should I expect the average daily expenses to be? What is the best city for a tourist in Germany, and why?

Munich. It's close enough to scenic places like the Alps, the Alpine foothills, Lake Constance, and Neuschwanstein (the "Cinderella Castle") while being an amazing and interesting city all by itself. You have great parks to walk and drink in, the Isar river to spend hours at, some of the best museums in Europe (the "German Museum" will cost you a whole day, but it's worth it, also BMW's automobile museum, the Jewish Museum, and the Antiquities Collection are definitely something to schedule a visit to), and more.Go see Nymphenburg Palace, drink a beer at Hofbräuhaus, go shop at Viktualienmarkt, the Munich "Hellabrunn" zoo is one of the best nature reserve style zoos in the world, and if you're so inclined go surfing at the Eisbach. There is no other city in Germany that's as amazing for both locals and visitors. Berlin might have the hipster startup community captivated, and Frankfurt may have the money, but Munich has both an amazing work/life balance for everyone living there and more than you can possibly take in, even in a month's time, as a visitor. After two days in Berlin, you've seen it all. You've been to Topography of Terror, walked the Wall path, took an expensive picture with fake GIs wearing plastic Navy SEAL insignia in front of Checkpoint Charly, got robbed at the Mauerpark, and seen the capitol buildings. In Munich, you haven't even begun your journey, yet. Go Munich.

Is Germany worth visiting?

Germany is a country where you should definitely visit at least once in your life. Beside its specific culture and history bigger cities are a way different from each other. Here’s a list of German cities I’d recommend visiting if you are planning to have a more than week trip to this stunning country:1.Hamburg the second largest city in Germany. It's really fascinating to see how this city managed to keep its original culture by at the same time embracing its marine in the past.2. Berlin, the capital of Germany has a wide range of things to offer its visitors. Despite the fact that there’s a lot to tell about this fabulous mega-polis I’d highlight its historical museums as well as the hugest clubs in Europe. By the way the spot captured is called Museum Island.3. Dresden, Not far from Berlin and Prague, Dresden is another unique city which offers a real baroque experience for people who visit the city. The city was once home to many Saxon princes and kings, the most famous of them being August der Starke (Augustus the Strong), whose kingdom included Poland as well. Dresden has about ten million tourists a year, most of them from Germany. However, as the city lies on the main railway from Prague to Berlin, more and more foreign tourist find they way to the city.4. Munich, if you are planning to visit this beautiful city in summer then I suggest reading this cool article about how to spend perfect holidays in Bavaria.:A summer in MunichOn top of it, the city has a lot to offer even in winter, have a look at this article:Why Christmas Markets In Munich Are So Special?5. Frankfurt am main.Unlike other German cities, Frankfurt didn't stick to its past and these breathtaking skyscrapers below are a great proof of it. If you happen to be in Frankfurt, visit the rooftops of the skyscrapers, I promise you that view is incomparable to anything! If you wish to find out more about Germany suggest reading these intriguing articles below before you visit to Germany:German Cities You Definitely Need To VisitWhy Christmas Markets In Munich Are So Special?Saxon Christmas Market in Dresden , GermanyExploring BMW MuseumThe Largest Beer Hall in Munich: HofbräuhausFrankfurt: The Jungle of SkyscrapersDresden in one afternoonWish you a nice time spent in Germany !

If I have 4 days to visit Germany, which cities should I go to?

I personally feel Berlin is an absolute must visit and definitely worth staying 2 days. The city has sucha rebellious feel and is a perfect combination between classic architechure and modern culture. Attending a party is a must, as is eating vegan and Turkish food. Germany has a huge Turkish population and their food is to die for. Berlin is known for having some of the yummiest vegan food in the world. Also I’d say the DDR museum is phenomenal! If you like shopping, this is the city for vintage shoppingBecause Hamburg is relatively close to Berlin I’d recommend you to take a train from Berlin to this very different German city. Hamburg is smaller than Berlin but it’s more posh and more traditional. Hamburg is a good contrast to Berlin and will show you a different side of Germany. Make sure to not miss the miniature museum. I didn’t think much of it but was completely blown away. Highly recommend. If you have time and energy you could visit Bremen after Hamburg. But if you want to truly enjoy and relax I’d recommend just sticking to Berlin and Hamburg.

Which is a better city to visit for first-time tourists in Germany, Hamburg or Berlin?

I think that depends on what you are looking for. Hamburg is a very green city, with a nice lake in the center and the river Elbe crossing the southern part of the city. There is a great variety of restaurants, museums and other things that modern cities can offer. But as Hamburg was (almost) completely destroyed during WWII, so it won’t offer you much of historical sightseeings.Berlin, on the other hand, can offer that. And of course, all that comes with a big modern city. Berlin is also best known for its wild parties and clubs. To my taste, Berlin a little too ‘chaotic’ (that if any German city can be actually labeled like this). So in short:Hamburg = Beautiful/Green/modern cityBerlin = party/historical/cultural city.As a Plus, if you’re looking for a more ‘stereotypical’ German tour, the Bavarian state, more precisely Munich and its surroundings, can offer a large variety of Castles, old churches and other medieval experiences. It is up to your interests.
