Which Colleges In Nys Allow One To Double Major In Theatre And Computer Science

Theatre Major vs. Acting Classes?

Okay, I think anyone who wants to be an actor should get all the training they can ... be that in college or otherwise.

THAT BEING SAID ...

I'm a director, and I'll tell you honestly - I don't care one lick if someone is an MFA from NYU or they're at the first audition of their life. Whoever is best for the part, gets the part.

And now that THAT has been said ...

Most of the time, the people with the most training are the best people for the part.

So in short, up to you. If you're unsure, maybe decide to pursue acting for a short time (six months or a year) and see how you do. If you get to auditions and feel like everyone else is stronger than you, then maybe you should go to school and get some more training and experience. If you start nailing auditions and getting roles, then ... well, there's your answer.

Tips on becoming a great writer?

I love to write, I am currently a college student trying to decide between being a journalist or a lawyer. I eventually want to be a full time fiction writer. Any advice?
