If you are not a Canadian citizen, you can't just live in Canada. If you to not have permanent residency or a work permit... it is *illegal* to look for work in Canada. Performing artist exceptions to work permits in Canada do not extended to movie actors. You would need to apply for a work permit. In order to offer a job to a foreign worker, a Canadian company must obtain permission from Citizenship and Immigration Canada by applying for a labour market opinion (LMO) report from HRSDC which shows a shortage of people in that profession in Canada. I seriously doubt that any studio will have a problem finding gay porn actors in Canada nor would any be willing to go through that process for short term work. However... assuming they did... when they offer you a job, they would send you a job offer letter, the LMO, and you would submit these with your work permit application to the nearest embassy. CIC will then run background, medical, and financial checks on you. If there is any evidence that you found that job while in Canada, your application will be rejected and that company likely fined or effectively prevented from hiring any more foreign workers.
