Nazi Germany vs. The Soviet Union: who would win?
Yes, yes, it is fact that Germany lost the Eastern Front to the Soviets, but for reasons that the Soviets couldn't control or use against the Germans: the weather. Stalin had purged the Red Army and the Germans were much more geared for war than the Soviets, especially using "blitzkrieg" (lightning war) tactics against Western Europe (successful - France, Holland, Belgium) and the Soviet Union (unsuccessful). The Nazi war machine was far superior to the Soviet war machine. The Germans preferred quality over quantity, while it was the opposite for the Soviet Union. Now here's the real spine chiller: if the Nazis had invaded the USSR (Soviet Union) 1 month earlier, or even less, they would have captured Moscow and the rest of the Soviet Union would have collapsed like a house of cards. This was initially Hitler's plan, but it was frustrated because Fascist Italy unsuccessfully invaded Greece, failing to occupy it. Therefore Hitler postponed Operation Barbarossa (the invasion of the USSR) and sent the Wehrmacht (German Armed Forces) to invade Greece and were successful. With the Greek campaign being successful, Nazi Germany unleashed a monster full-scale, racist war of extermination against the Soviet Union in pursue of Hitler's foreign policy of "Lebensraum" - the expansion Eastwards by Germany into Eastern Europe to colonize and re-populate the area with Germans. So with these points put across, it is clearly obvious that the Soviet Union was no match to the Nazis and the only thing that saved them was the weather.
