Which Couples Names Sound Best Together

Couple names. Do they sound good together?

There's a girl named Erica. and a guy named Nate. Do they sound good together? Just based on their first names.
What do you think of when you hear their names. Both separately and together.

What couple names sounds good together? (For my book)?

I would pick Anna and Charles for Tudor era.
Anna is beautiful, simple and feminine, could fit a character easily, and Charles is strong and masculine, but not über-masculine. They would make a good couple.

My second choice would be Edmund. I kind of like the sound of it, and it has a nice old-fashioned charm.

Good luck with your book!

:-)

Couple names that sound good together?

I'm writing a book, too, and, yes, there's some romance in there so I chose my characters names as Victoria Avila and Lance Peterson. So if it's best friends for you I'd suggest you giving your characters the names of Veronica and Anthony, or Jared and Melanie, or Rico and Merida, or Seth and Winter.
They all go pretty well together and I hope you like them (even though I was planning to use a few of those name combinations for my own story). If more names come to mind, I'll post them up on here for you....Good luck! :)

Do the names Maurizio and Kit sound weird together?

I agree with Martin that they sound a little bit strange paired together, but I think that’s mostly because Maurizio itself sounds a little odd to me. Maurizio definitely suggests a culture other than standard American, so my only caution would be that if you do use the name, don’t try to pretend that you’ve called the character ‘Joe’. If you called him ‘Joe’ and he was American, you wouldn’t need a backstory to hang the name on, but Maurizio is considerably more distinct/ethnic/cultural. Give the reader a character reaction to the name. Is it a family name? Does he like it / hate it? Is he, or his immediate family, coming from a different culture (and is that culture one you can portray with a degree of reliability?) or did his parents just deliberately decide to pick an unusual name?As anyone who reads sci-fi or fantasy will tell you, a reader can get used to all sorts of weird-sounding names, as long as they’re attached to an interesting character. Compared to some of the names I’ve run across in, say, Timothy Zahn’s Conqueror series, ‘Maurizio’ doesn’t even rate on the oddness scale!Kit, in contrast, can be a nickname for a couple of different common Anglo-American names (Christopher and Katherine, most frequently) and doesn’t stir as much interest. That doesn’t mean there can’t be a backstory, but you don’t need one quite as badly.

Which baby girl name sounds best?

I absolutely love the name Mae (as a middle name) & I love the names Charlotte & Emilia. Which name sounds best? Charlotte Mae or Emilia Mae? Open to other suggestions but please dont change the spelling of Mae to May I like it the way I spell it :) thanks!

A couple’s names are Steven and Josie. What are some names for their future baby?

Steven and Josie: consider your surname. It is more important. Many parents fail to factor their last names when naming babies. Some common infelicities:First and last names that blend together when pronounced: Will LaPorte becomes “Willa Port.” Maura Aguierre becomes “Mar Aguierre.” Say the names aloud: Mike Garcia becomes “Mike Arcia.”Mixing ethnicities can be cool. But sometimes the connotations just clash: Wolfgang LaChance. Pedro Kowalewicz.Unfortunate internal alliteration or assonance: Michael Stifel. Stacy Mabry. Saxon Jackson.Weird juxtapositions: Forrest Streeter. Heather Bush.In general, fancy names like Genevieve go best with simpler last names like Smith or Richards. If you have a complicated last name, go for a striking but simple first name: Grace Kompowski-Chang.

Does Darian sound more of a girls name or Boys!! my husband and I are struggling to name our baby boy coming in a couple of weeks! He wants to name him after him, Marco Antonio, however our first sons name is Jayden Antonio, so he already has his middle name! so now I have to go with Marco, and since its hard to use as a middle name i have to use it as a first name, so I thought about Marco Darian, but I dont know if it sounds ok together!! and how can i use it to where people dont just use the first name? or any other names that sound ok, with Marco?

What kind of name do cats respond to best?

All names any name.A sound or even a couple letters put together. There are about 6,500 or more spoke languages. From English to Cilcks or pops, there are cats. Basically cats identify with names that vary over a broad spectrum of languages.Any animal can be associated to a “name” as long as the animal knows the specific designation is for them. Also, cats will respond to multiple names. It is all about how the cat associates.Example: Feral cat responded to B.C. She would cherp and greet me or come running if she was in ear shout of hearing her name.I named every feral cat and they responded to their name every time. One cat even responded to “Big Balls”Domestic cats are the same but easier to associate names to.Cats tend to name themselves. If we listen, we select a name that best fits them.If want to use a cool sounding name, that will work too.Animals can do a lot.Language interpretation is easy for cats.
