Which Course Should I Take For Graduation So That I Can Pursue Environmental Engg/technology Post

I want to study biotechnology after 12th..(Please Help)?

First analyze if you have the aptitude, interests and skills to get into this field. This is predominantly a research field where PhD is required for better prospects. Its better to take PCBM than PCB but still PCB is the minimum requirement.Having Maths has it own advantages in higher stages of your career but leave it if you do not like it..
Biotechnology is a part of Life sciences and has limited scope compared to Life sciences. It is better you focus on Life sciences.
It is better to get into the top most central government institutes to have a assured future. All these top rated institutes are having its own entrance exams or KVPY or NTSE or some other central govt exams for admission in to their 5 year or 6 year integrated MS/MSc/MTech programs in BT/LS.

What is the scope for M.tech in environmental engineering in India?

Hi .. Truth is always bitter ! Current status of M tech in Environmental engineering  is Most of Post gradution as of M tech , institutes are not well adquate about teaching and providing thorugh knowledege about branch. This branch awareness has grown but Institutes only suck money but never give you exposure of industry and placements.Suppose you complete mtech but getting jobs is highly difficult because of no field knowledge and for design you don't have experience .Anyhow if you get jobs what shall be salary ..it's less than b tech fresher gets  ..around 10k-15k .I prefer you do Post graduation in Environmental engineering either from IIT or Abroad (M S)Only advantage of doing M tech is you can go for teaching line and pursue PhD  and PhD will depend upon guide selection and research arena .These all above are facts and if you want know exactly .. Visit all aluminis and ask their opinion .Haan You can even type in Google for Environmental jobs for fresher M tech ,..You get hint :PP

What is the best option for a Mechanical Engineer after a Bachelor’s in Engineering?

There are so many things you can do.But I will tell you first what not to do?Don’t do any higher education in India going for M.E/M.Tech or MBA, in India. If you want to take up a job in Industry your post graduation is almost useless 99%. You will regret this after 10 years of experience or more, which I am doing now. As far industry the number of years and the content of your experience and your achievements matter. 5 years down the line after you start work no recruiter will ever enter the educational area of your resume. It all matters only to entry into industry for the chance of campus interview whether you study in IIT or IIM and whether you are graduate/post-graduate. Later no one looks at it.If you are really interested interested in research then take GATE exam and get into premier institutes like IIT / NIT’s and sure pursue your PhD. Then you have to be clear that you are gonna start your career very late from rest of your friends. But MBA is a useless thing to do after engineering. It is a fashionable thing started few years back. But it is a baseless thing to do a technical under graduation and move onto a management career unless you found clearly engineering is not my thing and want to shift your career path from hardcore engineering. What to do?Instead of planning for a job plan for a career. To be very broad no matter what engineering you did two things are gonna rule the world from now.Energy - Alternative fuel sources, Electric carsWater - Water treatment, water structuresThis is gonna change the whole industrial world. Big oil companies are gonna lose their infrastructure and investments overnight which the oil barons are resisting and hiding to figure out how to save their ass.

Is there anything wrong with taking one class per semester in college? Granted I'll graduate later/slower..?

No it doenst. Im in the same thing too where friends of mine arent happy with me taking only three classes which is part time then taking four and being full time. So far I have taken 3 classes and It will be my 2nd year in the fall and My grades are better than ever. I tried four and for me it was too much. Plus I work five days a week then go to classes. As long as YOU are happy with what you have going for you thats all that matters. I did realize by being in college it does not matter when you graduate like it does for high school. College is different.
