Which Disney Kingdom To Choose For Honeymooners

Take kids on our honeymoon?

My fiance and I are struggling with a decision whether or not to take the kids on our honeymoon. We both want to go to Disneyland...I have been there 3 times and taken my child each time. My fiance has been as well...but it has been years since his last visit (15 years), however his children have never been. After each time I have been there I have thought how fun it would be to just go with another adult. We both would rather just the two of us go, however we are dealing with a little guilt on not taking all the kids for them to be able to enjoy it as well. They are too young (9 and 12) to be left alone at all, so selfishly we just want a relaxing time without all the work for our honeymoon. We have looked into other vacation spots...but they aren't as appealing to us at this time. We thought about offering to take them at a later date. I don't know what would you do?

Disney World HoneyMoon?

That's where we honeymooned! We had a blast :)

Be sure to wear your "Just Married" pins (they will give you these at check in) everywhere, you get better tables at restaurants and such!
Have dinner at the Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot. They will most likely give you a table right next to the aquarium, very romantic and fun! (be sure to make reservations in advance for all seated dinners to ensure tables and less waiting!)

Go to the Spirit of Aloha show at the Polynesian Resort. Very yummy and entertaining. Best shows are at night so you get the full effect of the fire dancer.

There are also a lot of ideas for romance in Disney on this site that I found helpful:

Other than that, we went on a lot of romantic walks around different hotels and areas. We enjoyed that trip so much. Sounds cheesy, but it was truly magical ;)

OH! Get the Disney Dining Plan, it saved us a ton of money. And spring for the kingsized bed!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge VS Disney's Wilderness Lodge?

I love the Wilderness lodge. It is easier to get around to and from your room. The pool is neat, it even has a water slide. There's also a less common "secret" pool if the main one is too crowded. There's also several hot tubs. In Disney, you do so much walking from place to place that you shouldn't need a gym :).

I would pick the Wilderness lodge because of the location. It has a dock where you can get a boat to several hotels, as well as the Magic Kingdom. If you take the boat to the Magic Kingdom, you can get on the monorail to Epcot, and then take a boat from Epcot to Hollywood studios, so you have access to 3 parks without even needing to take a car and having to worry about parking, gas money, ect. The only park you can't get to without a car is Animal Kingdom, and that isn't too far in a car or one of the Disney Buses. The Animal Kingdom lodge is pretty far from all of the parks except Animal Kingdom, and you can't take any boats or monorails. They do have buses, but it isn't as convenient as a quick boat ride.

Wilderness lodge is on a big lake, so they have nice beaches, bike rentals, and boat rentals. They also have a man made geyser that goes off every 15 minutes or so, and is really neat to see. There is a ton of ducks, humming birds, and rabbits that roam the property. If you can get it, a ground level room facing the pool is awesome, you have easy access to the pool and you can see all of the animals. Wilderness Lodge has a restaurant and food court. The food court is very handy if you are out late and are starving when you get back to the hotel. It's open all day, and they have quick breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. You can buy a refillable mug and get free drinks at the food court.

The Animal Kingdom lodge is very nice. The animals are neat, but get old after a while. It isn't close to many parks or other hotels. The scenery and decorations are neat. It doesn't have as much of a "disney feel" as the Wilderness lodge IMO. Either way, you won't be upset with your choice. Both hotels are excellent, and disney is great. Make sure to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and the Fastpass system!

What are the best Honeymoon Suites in Orlando?

hi, i would strongly suggest The Peabody Orlando, if you don't mind the location, since it is about 7.5 miles from Disney World. but this is really an excellent hotel for honeymoon retreat. you can choose from more than 1,000 guestrooms and suites of various kinds and sizes are available. the suites are generally large and luxuriously decorated, but by no means flashy, very very very nice. there is no need to list the amenities inside, really, you won't image that. a tv in the bathroom mirror? that is true. the bed probably the most comfortable one in the world, soft and clean. fantastic pool area. room service is fast and excellent and friendly staff. it is located at 9801 International Drive, Orlando.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive is also a wonderful romantic hotel, very nice in a great location. very nice, clean room with balcony and great view, you can get large, fully decorated and well equipped suites, your property are always safe in this hotel. standard Hilton amenities, services and everything else. besides, transportation is convenient too, it won't take much time to go to Disney World. my cousin even held their wedding here, by the way, special service will be provided if they know you are on honeymoon. you can find more detailed info on the following site:

there are many romantic disney hotels, like Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort , Disney's Wilderness Lodge. the first one is very close to Magic Kingdom, and one of the most romantic hotels in the city. unique guestroom, splendid facilities and amiable services. if you want to find more info about orlando romantic hotels suitable for honeymoon, you can refer to:

Was there ever going to be a Disney World in Italy?

When they were drawing up plans for Euro Disneyland near Paris, they were originally going to have it located in the Southeast of France near Italy. They had to choose a different location though after they discovered that the land was too soft or weak to support that big of a facility. The person from the show may be thinking of that.

Disney World...is it worth purchasing a Park Hopper ticket or just go with the base tickets?

This question is very subjective. It depends on a lot of factors. The most important one being the one you didn't give us - how long will you be at Disney?

If you're only going to be there one or two days, no, do not get the Park Hopper. You CANNOT do all of the Magic Kingdom or all of Epcot in one day, especially with a 6 year old in tow. It's *possible* to do all of Hollywood Studios or all of Animal Kingdom in one day, but only if you set a pace that will result in both you and your child being very very cranky the entire day. If you're only there one or two days, choose one park each day, and spend your entire day in that park (though I do agree with the idea of going back to the hotel for a mid-day break).

If you're going for a few days, 4 or more, I'd say, the park hopper may indeed be worth it. Especially if you just want to finish up a few attractions you didn't get to at one of the parks on your "full" day there.

That being said, however, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you buy the park hopper now!! Buy just the base ticket. Go to Disney. Enjoy yourselves. IF AND ONLY IF while you are there you decide that you would really like to be able to hop to a different park, THEN you should go to Guest Relations and add on the park hopper option. You will simply have to pay the difference in then-current prices between the base ticket and the hopper ticket. And you will then be able to park-hop for the remainder of your trip.

Disney tickets are always upgradeable. They are NEVER downgradeable. That means that if you buy the Park Hopper now, before you know you'll want it, you've just sunk $50+tax with no way to recover it if you get to the parks and decide you can't or don't want to hop.

I do recommend you buy yourself a decent guidebook before you leave. I thoroughly recommend the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. Among its best features are comprehensive touring plans - including one plan that has you do DHS for half the day and AK the other half, just as you inquired about. Doing this will give you the big attractions at each, but at the cost of really savoring the park and skipping over all the intracate details that make Disney parks different from other amusement parks. You'll also skip over a lot of shows and other "lesser" attractions that I really enjoy.

Hope that helps you have a Magical Vacation!
