Which Food More Likely Gave Me Upset Stomach

What to feed a dog with an upset stomach?

First time posting here (I hope it goes in the right spot). My 7 year lab has had an upset stomach for 4 days now but it's been off and on.

On 9/16 around 3am she start to throw up, there was no kibble and it was just yellowish brown in color. Later on that day she was fine.

I started to give her food throughout the night instead of all her food at once because I read that having something in her stomach to digest might help.

She acted normal and I didn't think twice on it (you know sometimes dogs just get into things). But on the 18th I came home to a mess- she had diarrhea but other then that she acted normally. On the 19th (yesterday) I noticed that she still had the diarrhea and then last night/this morning she'd wake me up several times to go out side to do her business.

Is this something I should bring her in to the vet asap or should I try a special diet for now? Been reading that rice/chicken or rice/beef might help her. She has always eaten Iams food without any problems.

Why does my stomach get upset after eating Indian food?

Typically homemade Indian food may not be as deadly on the digestive system as food in restaurants. I presume you have your problem because you have been eating out once too often. You would have noticed the emphasis on eating curd with an Indian meal in the form of plain yoghurt or buttermilk - sweet or salted, raitas of pineapple/boondi or dumplings (pakori or dahi wada) in yoghurt sauce. There is a reason for this. Yoghurt contains good gut bacteria which aids digestion and soothes the irritation the spices in the food cause. You should take care to have some non-spicy form of yoghurt (dahi) with an Indian meal (north/east/west/south). One more thing Indians do after a meal is to eat some digestive like Aniseed (sonf) or betel nut (supari) or betel leaf (paan). This helps digestion, too. So that is one more thing you could do to settle your stomach.Of course, the best thing to do would be to eat sensibly and order food after checking with the waiter and having less spicy things on the menu. And, don't forget the yoghurt, paan and, if all else fails, a sachet of good old Eno in a glass of water!

Which food more likely gave me upset stomach & diarrhea: creamed spinach or Seasoned cooked shrimp?

I just bought "Steakhouse" creamed spinach from . M.Costco & the cilantro lime seasoned chilled shrimp. I was really craving both & always eat an odd combo of food normally without upset.
Almost instantly got stomach cramp- felt urge to go to bathroom & had diarrhea. Had few sips of my Starbucks before eating. The sugar+caffeine+milk can sometimes have same effect but not for as long. And not from a few sips. I will probably part with both spinach & shrimp. But does the diarrhea/ constipation feeling more often come from bad shrimp or creamed spinach?
(I've had both before from Costco & neither made me ill, it was a year since I've bought either of those)

Why do apples make my stomach upset?

When eating an apple makes your stomach upset, you have to think of oral allergy syndrome (OAS). Some people with hay fever have an allergy to birch pollen. Birch pollen protein and apple protein share a part of each others protein that is common to both of them. This explains why people with inhalant allergies to birch pollen can have an apple allergy and why people who are allergic to apples can come down with an inhalant allergy to birch pollen. This is also called cross-allergies. These are fairly common as any allergist will tell you. So, when a food causes you stomach upset, think OAS and see an allergist for skin tests. Allergy injections can desensitize you and you will enjoy apples again in the future.More info: When an apple allergy suddenly appears.

Why is my stomach always upset after I eat?

I’ve seen this same symptoms in some of my clients and most of the time is due to lack of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Optimal production of acid in the stomach is essential for the breakdown of foods, otherwise it will sit in the stomach for too long causing proteins to putrefy, fats to go rancid and the carbs to ferment. All of this creates gas which leads to bloating, gas, stomach pain and feeds the wrong kind of bacteria in the digestive system. Also, how fast do you eat? Do you chew your foods properly or are you eating your meals under stress or on the go? It is important to chew your foods properly because the carbohydrates start their breakdown process in the mouth, while we are chewing we are also sending signals to the brain to start preparing the stomach for digestion. But if you are a fast eater and barely chew your food, you don't give enough time for the brain to send signals to stomach to start producing enough acid to breakdown the foods that are about to arrive.Have you ever tested yourself for candida overgrowth? I am about your height and I used to have problems gaining weight too.I hope this information helps!

My stomach gets very upset when I eat outside food, can anyone explain why?

The only reason for this maybe your body is not used to digest food with too much masala or oil.It often happens with people who eat very clean food or food that doesn't contain too much masala including me.When your body is given with clean food all the time and suddenly when it is treated with some junk food, it becomes difficult for it to digest and thus you suffer from the problem of stomach upset. There might be some other reason as well, so consult a doctor if this problem persists.

Upset stomach 3 months postpartum.?

What upsets your stomach in particular? Fatty foods? Spicy foods? Do you have pain in your stomach as well after eating them? Were you sick during your pregnancy?

3 months is a long time after wards to be having any stomach issues related to your surgery. I have a personal experience, however...I had to have my gallbladder out six weeks after my daughter was born. I, too, was having weird symptoms that I totally blew off...I just had a baby and major abdominal surgery. I thought I was just going to feel bad for a while. Turns out there were stones in my gallbladder, and because of them my pancreas had been overcompensating and was inflamed. I learned that bad gallbladders are VERY common during or immediately after pregnancy. Good thing they caught it early, before any of the stones made it into my common bile duct, and before my pancreas was really in trouble. Talk to your doctor if you feel icky. Even something that seems so minor can be serious.

And, to relate what you are eating to this, fatty and spicy foods are often culprits that set off attacks. Attacks can range from mild nausea to overwhelming pain. I didn't have anything that I *thought* was a gallbladder attack, until the night I went to the ER. So, it really can sneak up on you. Also, being unusually sick during pregnancy (like I was) can be mistaken for - what else - morning sickness, when it's really a bad gallbladder. Good luck.
