Well, definitely a graphic card.Your graphic card is the one that does the rendering work, RAM is just there to keep the data available for the CPU and GPU to access. Nowadays usually you get 6-8 gigs of RAM installed in a decent laptop. Even a 4Gb RAM is sufficient if you’re not into 2k or 4k gaming. But if you buy a Graphic card that itself has a memory of 4Gb, then of course you will need atleast 6Gb of RAM for it. But even if you increase this limit to, say 16Gb, you won’t notice much of a difference in gaming. Your frame rate would hardly increase by 2–5 fps.Now CPU on the other hand is equally important with the graphic card. You might install a GTX 1060 6Gb graphic card, have 8Gb of RAM and installed an i3 processor, still you wont be able to get the best out of your system. The GPU is way too powerful that your CPU. In this config, your CPU would be running at 100% with somewhat 60% of RAM usage and about 40–50% of GPU usage.So you need to see that this doesn’t happen. A system can take care of itself if the RAM is less, but it just cannot handle a slow processor. As it will take the whole system down with itself.

It depend on the type of games u are playing. You can play good old games on it whare from the 2014< period.You can play anything older than those games on hd 520 on low settings with ok framerate. You wont be able to max out the settings or play vety demanding games. You can always play all the new indie games that are releasing nowadays.You can also play esport title like overwatch ,cs go, dota, league of legends, or something like the popular fortnite. It will suffice your needs it you dont expect to get 60fps on full hd. You can get 30 ish fps on 720p. 6 and 7 are mediocre. The rest are all really bad. 3 is not a good choice because its video card, the GT620, is very low end. You can do so much better by building your own computer. It is really easy. There are dozens of guides out there and there are many people, myself included, who are willing to help you along the way, from picking the parts to assembly. Intel HD Graphics are horrible. It isn't even a physical graphics card, but an integrated graphics solution built into your CPU (central processing unit). Just stick with your xbox and you will be much happier, unless you want to shell out >$600 for a decent gaming computer that could at least beat Xbox 360 graphics, but then you would have to build it yourself. If you don't have an xbox 360 yet, just wait until the end of the year for next gen consoles. Even if you don't want to buy those, by the time they come out 360's and ps3's will be much cheaper.

Well, when it comes to overall value, the best current CPU for current and next generation games hands down is the AMD FX 8350 CPU. current generation games run awesome on it, even a few of them such as BF3, will actually utilize all 8 cores it possesses. but with the Eight 4GHz cores, it is primed and ready for next generation games for time to come. These chips are priced starting at about $180 but worth every penny. AMD has better and faster chips than the FX 8350, but its a huge wast of money for the most part due to the fact the 8350 ranks pretty high in performance compared to those chips and is significantly less expensive. It out benchmarks all Intel core i5 CPUs, and a sizeable chunk of the intel i7s. Its closest competitor is the Intel Core i7-3820, which is a 3.6GHz Quad core CPU. and costs about $300. Combine this with a quality gigabyte motherboard with the 990fx chipset, a good 80+ certified PSU or better, and a good video card such as an AMD Radeon HD 7970 or better, or an nVidia GTX 760 or better, (AMD Radeon Cards are my personal preference because of overall performance vs cost value) and you will have a rock solid gaming machine that is virtually bulletproof. If you use a board like the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7, you can also overclock this CPU to 4.8GHz per core stably with adequate liquid cooling. If you try that with an Intel CPU that is capable, Chances are good you will fry it in quick order as Intel lately has been cheapening out on their CPU heat spreaders by using TIM-Based Spreaders that are approximately 16X less efficient dissipating heat than chips that use solder-based heat spreaders like ALL AMD CPUs use, but only are used on the sandy bridge intel chips and older, some, if not all of the newer ivy bridge and haswell chips are using the TIM-based spreaders now and therefore run hotter and overheat easier. If you do not plan extreme overclocking, and just want to spend a little less on your motherboard, the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 and GA-990FXA-UD3 are good choices too. The answer that suggested using an ASUS board, not your best bet, ASUS used to make awesome boards for gaming in the past, but their quality has been lacking in recent years, and they are only considered okay boards these days. They will work fine usually, but not nearly as well as a gigabyte.
