Which Graphic Card To Buy

Which Graphics Card to buy?

hi guys

this is my 3rd question on the topic, and i think im getting my head around everything, but ive struck another problem.

I am looking to invest in a new graphics card, for around £50-£70 (GBP). I am UPGRADING from a NVIDIA geforce 8600bt super+ 1gb (1024mb/128bit/ddr2/PCI-E).

I bought a pre-built pc for piece of mind, but then added hardware anyways, which defeats the object really, but anyways. It is a packard bell, and they rarely use standard hardware, most of it is wired or adjusted differently to everything else, which is very annoying. Can people suggest a graphics card that is better than the 8600 gt super+1bg that fits the following specs/components.

So, i have a PSU output of maximum 250w.
2.4ghzQuad coree intel q6600
4gb ddr2 ram NVIDIA geforce 8600 super gt+1gb ddr2PCIee
Motherboard - Packard bell MCP73VT-PM PCI-E express
Windows 7 32bit

I use my pc for gaming primarily, work 2ndly (im a uni student!) and i play high end games such as Fallout 3 (and expansions), GTA 4, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Far Cry 2 etc and i want to play future releases.

I also watch hd movies on my pc.

So any sensible answers are greatly appreciated. i do not want to overclock, and idon'tt want to replace the PSU. I can be lenient on the £70 cap though.

Many thanks in advance

Which graphics card should I buy in 2019?

Sadly I’m not a time traveler. So, all I have is “Speculation”.If we’re just comparing what’s going to be out with what we know. Then for supreme performance, the RTX 2080 Ti looks to be the top dog. However, AMD’s Navi is due out. Without a comparison, I can’t say either way.AMD’s energy efficiency has gone up a whole lot, in particular, their Ryzen’s which had superior options to most of Intel’s 6XXX series and 7XXX series and is highly competitive with their 8XXX series. If we see a similar transition on Video Cards where Nvidia’s going more power hungry for it’s RTX series. Who knows. We know the Vega 56 is considered the best Performance to Cost ratio for the Higher end cards. However, the top end GTX 1080 Ti runs 4k on Medium ~60FPS in most games if not high. The RTX 2080 Ti can run 4k in the 70+ Range so no need to worry about the dips into less than 50’s we’d see with the 1080 Ti.If you’re not gaming on a 2k (144/165hz) screen or a 4k 60hz screen or a 1080p 240 Hz screen you may be better off with a GTX 1070/1080, or a Vega 56/64.Hope that was somewhat helpful. I totally agree with Connor Stilwell’s answer also!

Which graphics card should I buy?

I would refactor what you are spending your money in. You are programming, not rendering video in 1440p-4k. Also, If I were you, I would go skylake or kaby lake just for an upgrade path. I suggest you skip overclocking, get a kaby lake or if your budget oriented, get a ryzen system with a ryzen 5 cpu. I suggest an R5 1600. With the money you save on the cpu, get your self a rx 480 or 580, which ever’s cheaper, there is almost no difference. Your case is fine, Hard drive is fine. Keep your SSD, although if its over 90$ look for a cheaper one. You might want 16gb but 8 is fine. I’m saying to get away from overclocking because you didn’t even factor in a decent cooler and you didn't factor in any fans. If you comment your price range, I can give you a proper build to get you up and running with a cost effective and powerful system. Also a 2GB GPU would have gotten you absolutely no where with any of those games. Especially GTA V, Metro Last light, and the games of those caliber need 4GB to even run half decent. Whenever you send me your price limit, I can make you a part list that is more sensible for your cause.Sincerely,Fellow PC Gamer, Tech expert/guruP.S. Not Bragging

What graphics card should I buy for my PC?

As @Vetri Selvan said, the GTX 1050 Ti would be a good match for this CPU, which is a bit weaker than a 6th gen pentium G4400. Anything higher would be bottlenecked in many games. Dont bother with big coolers, get the cheapest mini card (Zotac mini when I last checked). Also add an extra 8 GB RAM stick your system (total 12 GB) as some modern games need more than 8 GB RAM.

How do I know which graphics card to buy?

I have an HP Probook 6555b which has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics card, and I want to upgrade to a NVIDIA GeForce 260 or ATI Radeon HD 4870 or better. What graphics card should I buy to upgrade my laptop to play Diablo 3?

What graphics card could I buy to upgrade?

I have a Toshiba Portege R835-P50 and it comes with the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family graphics card. This graphics card is alright but most of the newer games that are out demand a higher graphics card. I'm not too tech savvy but I'd like a better graphics card for this laptop. The only problem I foresee is that it's a slim model making upgrading almost impossible. If anyone can help that'd be greatly appreciated.

Which company's graphics card should I buy?

it actually depends upon factors like your budget, system type, past usage, and personal taste!Nvidia and Amd have came out with there new Pascal and Polaris architecture respectively, and they have there refre cards(founder's edition for Nvidia).there's a whole lot to choose from like msi, asus, sapphire, gigabyte, etc. buy the one which has good availability at your place so you can be sure of after sales service if something goes wrong. also consider the amount of memory, over clocking, fans, material used to built, etc. while they are fitting your budget.I tend to incline towards asus and msi, asus gfx are bit pricey but solid built quality and good after sale service. msi has uped the ante with faster clock speeds and good room for overoclocking

Which is the best site to buy graphic cards in India?

Amazon is the most popular site, but prices are inflated there. Yes you definitely get graphic card from Amazon global, but check maybe you won’t get WARRANTY on them.other sites for INDIANS with prices not in $ but in INR are -1) MD computers - http://mdcomputers.in/2) The It Depot - India's First IT Online Shopping StoreI would say the best site is MD Computers, it has usually better pricing and it is bigger than the IT Depot and Prime Abg.I would say go check your offline stores they are the best, and if you can manage to go to our capital i.e. DELHI(specially Nehru Place[more specifically COST TO COST])then I hope you will be smart enough to crack best deals on each Computer part. Try to bargain and do your homework by visiting above mentioned sites and getting a fair idea on what is the price range for that specific product. For that you can check the above mentioned sites. While searching you will see the price internationally(specially US) is quite cheaper than in India. So in India You can easily see 25–30% increase the price of the specific product.I personally like Amazon for online shopping I am also a TOP 100 REVIEWER there, but when it comes to computer products specially the most expensive ones like Graphic Cards, it’s just not good enough. NOTE - 1) if warranty is your priority then check ZOTAC as they only provide a 5 years warranty rest all companies have 3 years warranty on Graphic card.2) If pricing is your Priority then check EVGA graphic cards, they are usually cheaper and are best seller in the US.3) Asus has a higher pricing but focuses on looks and full gaming experience, such as RGB lighting, ROG logo, etc. They usually have better build than the EVGA and Zotac.Rest all popular company are in middle such as MSI, Gigabyte, etc.I hope this information helps.
