Are you American? Why do you own several guns?

I am American and I own several guns because I bloody well can! That’s the long and short of it. I want to so I do.The reasons I own them are varied. My initial purchases were, quite literally, because I could when it became legal for me to do so. Attraction of the forbidden, the unspoken, the things I couldn’t have where I was from. Mainly to just being able to shoot.It was several years before I acquired my first handguns and later delved into the concept of armed self-defense. Collection and guns built for various dedicated purposes simply followed as time went on.Some guns I own because of their historical significance. I have a cross section of 150 years of firearms history and conflict sitting in my safe. I wish some of those guns could talk. I have one that actually does. A Bosnian War militia SKS carved by whomever carried it.Some I own for self-defense. Their reasons for being are obvious. Firearms are the most effective tool to protect oneself with and I have several devoted to that purpose.Most I own now are built for purpose. Various shooting disciplines like other sports you need dedicated equipment to play. A self-defense handgun is different from a IPDA/IPSC/USPSA race gun or Three Gun setup. Various rifle disciplines like Smallbore, Benchrest, Highpower, Service Rifle, Vintage Sniper or F-Class all demand purpose-built hardware, each distinctly different.It would be highly impractical to use a four foot long, 16 pound single shot target rifle designed to put small groups into paper at 1000 yards for self defense at 10 yards. Guns are like golf clubs; you choose the right one for the purpose needed at the time.Hunting is very low on my list. I’ve done it and I have guns that can be used for it. It isn’t something I pursue regularly. I tend towards the competition/recreational end of the spectrum in terms of where I like to park my rounds. But offer me the option to go on a Nutria hunt and I’ll gladly grab a rifle and join in.End of the day the “whys” are my own. The fact I choose to share them is my choice. It is not justification because no one has the right to demand that of me or any other gun owner. I am just telling you why to provide context.

Steve from MinecraftNow now now I know that this is a wild character to choose from but have you ever wondered about how strong steve is there are about 37 slots in steves inventory each able to hold 64 of each items you have. One metric ton is equal to about 2,204 pounds now and a stack 64 gold blocks equals 1,235 metric ton in just 1 of steves inventory slots he can hold 2,722,709 POUNDS AND THIS IS JUST THE FIRST SLOT OF ITEMS in total steve can hold up to 2,368 gold blocks in his inventory in metric tons steve can hold a wild 100756544 pounds by himself don’t ever underestimate steve by the way i didnt even include the shulker box or his armor which can hold even more items while being in his inventory.Edit: Also if you haven’t watched any of the anime I have put into this I highly suggest you do they are all great shows with multiple seasons.
