Do most girls find my brother more attractive than me physically or is it just him being more outgoing?
i'm 21 and i've never had a girlfriend or dated or even had a girl tell me i'm attractive. i was socially awkward when i was in high school so i never really socialized with girls and in college(i've been in my 4th year) i've just been too shy and nervous to really approach or make friends with girls. i've only made friends with a couple whom my guy friends hangout with. however, i notice that even when i do talk to girls, they are never impressed and a lot of times they make it clear that they don't see me as the "sexy" type. my brother is 19 and he has never dated(i don't think he's asked many girls out) and has plenty of female friends and i know for a fact that he has had girls refer to him as "sexy" before. he was never socially awkward like me, so he is not shy or nervous and has no problem talking to girls. however, i am not so sure that this is the whole reason he has more girls liking him. lookswise, we both wear glasses and our facial features look similar. we have been told that we look like twins. however, there are slight differences, my face is a little thinner, i have these really big pupils that he doesn't have, and my nose is big widens and hooks downwards when i smile while his is just as big, maybe bigger, but doesn't hook downwards and his mouth is wider in proportion to his nose. also, he has wavy hair which he straightens and he keeps it semi-long. i have really curly hair, which i sometimes cut short and sometimes grow out into a fro. could these slight differences in our looks make it so that a decent amount girls would find him attractive but that very few will find me attractive? or is it probably more about our personalities and him being more outgoing? be honest.

You are an animal, we all are, and the feelings you have are natural and normal, "intended" by nature and evolution. Whats going on is he is your type and you CANT HAVE HIM, so of course this triggers the lower brain into I MUST HAVE HIM, because in evolution nature found that it was better to try and get things you cant have than things readily available or things you already have (because they usually turn out more valuable or an added plus to what you already have, but not always or in this case, the lower brain is completely lacking in intelligence of course it gets it right alot of the time (more often) but also wrong alot of the time (less often) The same thing happens with children and parents telling them too hard that they cant drink or smoke or date a badboy etc the kids then MUST drink and smoke and date etc so its natural instincts being triggered. So its not a betrayal you cant help it. You didnt choose. You do choose however to act or not on these feelings thats what makes you good or bad not the feelings themselves. Also maybe knowing what is going on will help kill the attraction a bit? If not maybe you can trick your lower brain into finding him less attractive? Maybe imagine 1000 of his brother dressed in brown and only 1 of your husband dressed in a gold jacket, now imagine the brothers all 1000 of them are needy and desperate for you and imagine your husband not caring if you like him at all. What happened? Did the attraction go up or down?

keep in mind that siblings (brothers and sisters) can be competitive. if you have ever had a younger brother or sister then you probably know they always want what the other has. Don't get caught up in some sibling rivalry thing espiecially when you are only attracted to this dude physically. It sounds like maybe your bored with your boyfriend and its time to move on...but with his brother that would be complicated to say the least.
