Which Is Darker And More Serious Fate/zero Or Fate/stay Night

What happened at the end of Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night?

1) Why does the Grail not grant the wishes?Kiritsugu Emiya, despite his methodic and calm way of operation was still only wishing for a miracle. He had not thought of concrete ways to achieve it. The Grail is incapable of granting true miracles. Emiya's entire plan is undone by that small detail.2) Why is Kiritsugu's ideal so wrong in the first place? A bit of this is left to your own thoughts. My interpretation is that one can never save everyone. Like in the Grail's example, in a real-time scenario, if Kiritsugu had to save the maximum out of 500 people, he would start out trying to save 300, and end up killing 300 instead. That is his core flaw. His mental make-up works on a machine-like ideal, and that is not suited for any savior-like situation.3) Why is Shiro's ideal wrong?Well, as per the VN, there are two conclusions Shiro comes to. In the Unlimited Blade Works route, Archer points out the flaws in Shiro's ideals. Archer berates Shiro for being a faker, someone who's only fit to copy and imitate, and that extends to his very ideal too, that of becoming a Hero Of Justice! This is encapsulated in Shiro's own quote : "I'm still against the Holy Grail War. But I'll fight until the end for sure. I have no wish that I need the Holy Grail to grant. …But I want to protect others, like a superhero. I don't think my wish is inferior. So I have to fight against the wishes of others, even if they are five hundred or a thousand years old."However, Shiro argues that he WILL find a way, somehow. The solution is not given, as is with most things in life. But somehow, there is a sense of hope, because Shiro Emiya is just that kind of person. In Heaven's Feel, there is an interesting breakdown of Shiro's idea. He is forced to give it up in the face of love, in the face of saving what means more to him, forcing him to choose between his beloved Sakura and his ideal.Note that, Fate/Stay Night (the VN), originally written by Kinoko Nasu, dabbles more in philosophy as compared to Gen Urobuchi's dark remix of the Fate world in Fate/Zero. This means a lot more is left to your interpretation. Again, like the previous answer, even though you're against reading the VN, I would highly recommend it, especially as you seem so interested. It is by a far a very different experience as compared to watching the anime.

Fate / Stay Night HELP?

Fate/Stay night came out first so I say watch It first, even though it is ten years after Fate/Zero.

Then watch Unlimited Blade works it is the a movie from Fate/stay night, same characters.

Then watch Fate/ Zero it may have happened 10 years prior to stay night but doesn't mean you watch it first or need to.

Fate/Prototype was what the series was gonna gonna be originally but changes were maybe thus we have the characters of Fate/Stay night and not the ones from fate prototype. It's like seeing the shadow of a person before seeing the actual person them self. While the shadow show some characteristics of the person it is not the final and true form. Fate/Stay night is the true form of the finished product. So doesn't matter when you watch it. But I'd say watch after yo watch everything else, like when there a no more new Fate/Zero episodes out.

What's your favorite serious/dark anime?

Difficult decisions…..Fate: Zero.I have seen 80+ different anime series, many of which are dark/serious.Fate: Zero cuts the cake. Seriously. It has everything that is needed in a serious anime which reflects true life views, and makes you question the true nature of our world. My brief summary will avoid spoilers, but here is the general premise :This is a prequel to Fate/ Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (another amazing anime)The premise is simple. The Holy Grail War, which usually happens rarely, typically involves mage families receiving marks on their hands which allows them to summon a Servant (A character of Legend in History) in order to fight with them, to acquire the Holy Grail, which is supposed to grant the wish of the Champion. Naturally, Servants would prefer to have a Master who shares their goals, but the marks (up to 3) allow the user to give specific commands that they must follow. The amazing Characters from Legend brought to life, are still quite profound among the mage powers and dirty, underhanded techniques that are used by masters. For example, Kiritsugu, our (main?) character, has summoned Saber ( Arturia Pendragon, the wielder of Excalibur). Saber is all about Chivalry and honour, but Kuritsugu does not care. He will even target children if he has to work towards the greater good. His past is incredibly sophisticated and dark too.Anyway, Why Fate Zero?It has everything which makes a serious anime perfect.Powerful StorylineMasterwork of Art (yes, the art is incredibly beautiful and detailed)Dark Characters whose actions reflect their morals and ideologiesNo real definition of who is the good guy or the bad guyIncredible Fight Scenes/ Animation. Down to the characters movements and fighting styles reflect their legends.Gore and Blood when it actually makes sense. (Not forciblt edgy in the slightest)Allusions to history and Legendary characters in Non- Fiction and (non-confirmed) FictionNo forced romanceNo plot induced wins/ defeats. They are reflections of the characters, and the goals/ results of the War may very well shock you.An improvement in a series, even as a prequel.-Johnny

Which is better to watch, Fate/Zero or Fate/stay night?

In my opinion Fate/Zero. Though it depends on what you like in a story.Fate/zero is a story about adults engaged in war so it has a maturity that the story it prequels lacks. Fate/stay night is a story about teenagers pretending to fight a war while adults fight it behind the scenes. Also there is a difference in translation. Fate/stay night (FSN) is a story adopted from a visual novel which is like a multichoice game. This sometimes leads to confusing/muddled storylines which are hard to follow as the story tries to incorporate all characters equally instead of focusing on those who sre more relevant to specific route. This is best shown in the original tv show which tried to make love interests out of the three heroines (Saber, Tohsaka and Sakura) instead of focusing on Saber; the love interest of that route. Ufotable do a much better job with FSN UBW because it sticks to the story. On the other hand Fate/Zero (FZ) is based on a novel. there are no alternate timelines or somesuch which can mess up your storytelling. This is complimented by a writer who could be compared to George R.R. Martin. The characters are more believable and the drama is more engrossing. The Writer Urobuchi Gen also wrote Blassreiter, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Psycho-Pass. If you have seen any of these and liked them then you will like this.In summary I believe Fate/Zero is the better story to watch because it has better consistency, the characters are more interesting and the drama is more engrossing.

What is it about the heavens feel route in fate stay night that makes it so dark?

It's hard to say without spoiling anything. As an over generalization, you could say the Fate route is more of an introduction to the world and about the romance. Unlimited Blade Works is more focused on action and drama. While Heaven's Feel is much more psychological and emotional.

Heaven's Feel focuses on Sakura as the main girl (rather than Rin or Saber) and it's a very different story from the first two routes. More akin to Fate/Zero in that darker atmosphere. There's nothing really happy about it, it's filled with constant death and tragedy. Characters go through all kinds of abuse and there are crazy plot twists throughout it. For that it's well known as the darkest of the three routes.

Is fate/stay night bloody?

I am wondering if the anime of Fate/Stay night is gory or bloody. I faint very easily at the site of blood, organs, etc, and I am usually pretty bad with bloody movies, etc. Normally, i wouldn't be afraid, except for the fact that the anime Princess Mononoke was so well made, that I had to stop watching it half way through since the blood was drawn so good . . .
I was wondering if i should stay away from this anime, since it looks like its about warriors and things
I want to watch it so badly, but i have to know how bloody it is first! any input is greatly appreciated!

I need anime like fate stay night?

You may also like Noein: To Your Other Self.
This deals with a group of kids and invaders from alternate timelines. There are deep feelings between the lead girl and guy.

Just as dark is a series called Kaze no Stigma. The lead male character, a wind magic practicioner, is framed for murder. The female lead is ordered to exact fire-magic family revenge upon him.

Both of these shows are quite similar in mood to Fate/Stay Night.

Edit: Sure, Kaze No Stigma has its lighter noments, just like Fate/Stay Night does. But it is not a comedy, as the other guy says.

Which one to watch? Death note or Fate Stay Night?

I recommend both! Both of them are sooo good. Don't give up on Fate/Stay Night just because the first episode was slow. Death Note has A LOT of suspense but Fate/Stay Night has A LOT of action, fantasy, and sad scenes. It made me depressed but I loved it..it's one of my favorites. :)
Death Note is really~ good too! You will be hooked by the first episode. It's somewhat confusing and it makes you think a lot. Lots of mystery! I don't think that the anime was bad at all. The manga was just as good. ^^ Fate/Stay Night is NOT only for girls; I know lots of boys that watch it.

Both are too good to not watch. Give Fate/Stay Night a chance. Download both of 'em. Hope that helped! :)
