Which Is Easier To Care For

Which pets are the easiest to take care of?

Keeping a pet is a huge responsibility. Just loving your pet isn’t enough, you have to ensure that it is getting proper nutrition, exercise, regular medical checkups, etc. So, if there is a difficult situation in your family, then it s best not to keep a pet (it will break your heart ten times over if something happens to it on your watch-I have los a couple myself, so I know). What you can do, if you really love animals, is volunteer at an animal shelter near your home. There, you can take care of animals as much as you want, help them find a good home, and find out exactly what ‘maintaining’ a pet means. Then, if you feel you are up for it, by all means get your own! However, if you REALLY want your own pet in your house, I would say go with a simple goldfish bowl. Fish are low-maintenance, you need to change their water daily and feed them twice a day (the frequency of both can be changed depending on advice from your vet). That being said-beware, fish are very delicate. Make sure you don’t hurt them while changing the water in their bowl, overfeed or underfeed them. They should get some sunlight daily. Also, avoid crowding too many fish in a small bowl, they need as much oxygen as they can get! And keep a sharp lookout-if you see that your fish is sluggish, or is behaving unusually, a visit to the vet may be in order!!!

What are some pets that are even easier to take care of than a guinea pig?

Guinea pig is a good choice.  I was wondering why you weren't going with a hamster, or a gerbil, but Guinea pigs live longer. Betta Fish can tolerate a lot of neglect.  Just don't try to put more than one in the same bowl. Budgies, or parakeets, as birds go they are pretty low maintenance. Geckos come up on a lot of lists as low maintenance pets.  And Bearded Dragons. Rabbits, chinchillas, and hedgehogs. Hermit crabs. I would stick with mammals because their care is a little more intuitive.   They eat mostly vegetables and grains.  Personally,  I like cats.  They don't have to be caged, they can be left alone for 3-4 days at a time, and they house train themselves. Failing that a Red Tailed Boa or a Ball Python.  They only have to be fed once a week.  As long as they have water and a warm place to curl up they are very happy.  These snakes are also "cuddly".  I would not have thought it but snakes like warmth and will happily curl up around your shoulders while you read a book or watch TV.  They don't like it if you move around too much but I find them much more cuddly than cats. (P.S. Don't feed live rodents to snakes.  The rodents will fight for their lives and possibly injure the snake.  You can buy frozen rodents to feed to snakes and heat them up in some hot water so the snake will take them.)

Which is easier to take care of a lizard or turtle?

It depends. I have a leopard gecko, and he is really easy to take care of. I feed him crickets every other day, change his water, and thats about it. They can live without food for 2-3 weeks if you need to go somewhere, and they can live in a wide range of temperatures. Turtles need a constant water filter and food and are hard to take care of. Tortoises can be put in a box with salad and will live for 100+ years. They are extremely easy to care for. I would go for either a lizard or a tortoise, not a turtle.

Is a Pomeranian easy to take care of?

i am planning on getting a dog and i reallly like pomeranians and my neighbor nows someone who is having a litter so i think i want to get one but are they to much responsibleity?

What is the easiest horse to take care of? What makes this horse easy to take care of?

well no horse is ‘easy’, owning a horse takes time and effort as well as money. You cant just buy a horse leave it and visit as you wish, you will be required to feed it, exercise it, groom it, care for it when its sick such as giving it eye drops or what not. So before you even consider buying a horse do you have all the time, effort and money for one.My friends horse could be considered as an easy keeper, hes a Highland X Exmoor, so hardy breeds and lives out in field all year round, this is much cheaper than keeping him stabled so that could be considered an easy keeper. But to be honest no horse is ‘easy’ as i said as they still need exercising and grooming as well as if they are field kept poop picking the field or if there stable kept then mucking out the stable.

Which pet is better to have and easier to take care of, a dog or a cat?

Thanks for the A2A.I’m going to take a wild guess that you are asking this question because you have never had a pet before. Both cats and dogs are wonderful. I currently have one cat and two dogs. The easier one to take care of is going to be a cat. They use a litter box and you need to walk dogs for them to use the bathroom and to get exercise. Cats are also less expensive to feed. A 6 lb. bag of cat food will last almost two months. A 40 lb. bag of dog food might last 3 weeks. (Yes, I have larger dogs). You also have to take time to train a dog. Don’t try to train a cat. It won’t work. Cats will train you.As for which is better, that depends on you. Dogs need much more attention than cats. Someone has to be available to walk the dog whenever they need to go out. Dogs will give you unconditional love and follow you everywhere they can. Cats will love you one minute and ignore you the next. Also, adult pets are easier than the babies. So for a first pet, I would recommend an adult cat. Shelters are full of them because most people want the cute, adorable, tiny, little kittens. An adult cat will not knock as many breakables onto the floor as a kitten. But if you put up a Christmas tree, I would still recommend finding a way to anchor it to the wall.

Which pet is easier to care for, a ferret or guinea pig?

There is no comparison. I've had guinea pigs up until last year, for the past 16 years. They're super easy to take care of, just put food in the bowl fill the water everyday and change the bedding once a week or so.

I've had ferrets for the past two and a half years, they're expensive, they're a lot of work, they're messy, they're a ton of fun, but if you're looking for an easy pet, they're NOT for you.

What is easier to take care of, a tarantula or a leopard gecko?

Tarantulas 100%. I would consider them the EASIEST pet ever to take care. Next to the pet rock that is ;)For my tarantulas I have 15 gallon tanks. Do not put more than one spider in each tank. Make sure the tank is big enough to fit a hiding space, a water bowl (not deep but large enough for the spider to crawl into), and plenty of substrate. My spiders (fully grown) only eat about 4 or 5 crickets PER week. This literally costs me .50¢ per week. Reptiles require more to eat and definitely more variety. While you can feed tarantulas other types of food, mine are more than happy with crickets.Another reason why they’re the easiest pets, their tanks have to be changed once every 8 MONTHS!! Yep, I deep clean once every 8 months. I clean the water bowls daily, and I clean when needed. Geckos and lizards I spot clean daily and deep clean once every week and a half.Keep in mind both require heating. Both of my tarantulas have heating mats which I think work better than bulbs for them. Also I mist the tanks daily to keep the humidity.
