As you have not mentioned the engine type, I shall assume you are looking for a petrol engine and compare the petrol versions of the two. (Also because I had done the comparison earlier for petrols,so had the data ready)Comparing the two cars, this would be my suggestion. The Dzire in spite of being a compact sedan is not much bigger than the Elite i20. The rear boot is more of a formality and does not provide higher boot space as compared to the Elite i20. Also the folding rear seat allows us to store bigger items in a hatchback when needed as compared to compact sedans. I sometimes carry my bicycle in my car after removing the front tire, which would not be possible in a compact sedan. These car are quite competitive when it comes to engine and features. Engine: Both have similar capacity, similar tuned and similar powered engines. The Dzire has a little higher fuel efficiency on records, but in real time they are both more or less the same. For the Engine I would call it a tie between the two cars as both engines are good. Suspension : Even though the Elite i20 has improved its handling as compared to the earlier version, Swift Dzire still feels more confident on higher speeds. However, its not much of a difference in this ever since Elite i20 has improved their handling. Features: The elite i20 gives better features in terms of rear parking camera, rear AC vents ,bluetooth integrated ICE,rain sensing wipers. Compared to the Swift Dzire, the i20 has better plastic quality and the sheet metal quality seems. Looks: In terms of looks, even though the opinion is purely subjective, in my opinion the Elite i20 wins hands down compared to the Dzire with its futuristic design of the front and rear lights. Space: The Elite i20 offers better space for the rear passengers and also driver side arm rest. Turning Radius: The Swift Dzire has a smaller turning radius as compared to the Elite i20 which has it at 5.2m compared to 4.8m of the Swift Dizer. This makes parking in tight spots a little tricky for the i20 and you may need to take a 3 point turn while taking some U turns or learn the keyhole maneuver. So comparing the present versions of the cars, I would chose the Elite i20 for its better features provided for a little higher price. However, a face-lifted Dzire is scheduled to be launched based on the face-lifted Swift. That would add more features to the Swift Dzire we can expect a better ICE, push to start and better fuel efficiency.
Which would you recommend, the new Swift or the new i20 Elite?
New Swift has some key design changes including the front as same as desire and back as Baleno. It's less like swift now and more like other Maruti Suzuki cars. It's going to be lighter, smarter, more fuel efficient (obviously coz reduced kerb weight) and low on maintenance coz of Maruti badge. New elite i20 will be more sturdier, heavier, safer, low on fuel efficiency but higher side of maintenance. This comparison is only between both cars.Choice is absolutely yours.

I will make it simple for you. If you want driving pleasure, go for the swift dzire. For everything else its elite i20. Swift's suspensions are more tuned towards better handling than better ride. This means that at slow speeds you might find some jerks creeping into the cabin but it will offer better cornering abilities at higher speeds. Also swift has a fantastic steering. Apart from polo it is swift which has the best steering. That's why it still sells in abundance even though it has its shortcomings. So if you are a driving enthusiast go for it.On the other hand, i20 has a suspension tuned for better ride. At city speeds you won't feel the jerks and bumps in the cabin as you would in a dzire. Interiors look good, has loads of space and tons of features. It is a very handsome car. But it has a horrible steering wheel. Now electronic power steerings are expected to weigh up as you reach higher speeds. But i20s steering remains lightweight even at high speeds and also lacks feedback from the roads. Cornering this car at high speeds is nothing short of scary. Also the car is heavy so the engine feels far less peppier. So in short, if you want driving pleasure, swift dzire should be your choice. For everything else there is i20.P.S. Fuel efficiency department, Hyundais cannot keep up with a Maruti. So for any stretch or trip, if a Maruti gives you 15kmpl, the Hyundai will give you 12 kmpl.

Which car is better, the Ciaz or the Dzire?
Marut Ciaz .Well, ciaz is a perfect sedan whereas Dzire is based on hatchback platform. Proper sedan has a neat wheelbase which gives you better ride and handling and generous space inside. Although both share the same engine, the state of tune amidst the two is different. Ciaz can do 170+easily and you get a good amount of boot space as well. Dzire is budget friendly car. If you can stretch your budget to Ciaz, you get a better equipped car. In today's world, a better equipped car is much essential, coz we need to get the feeling like we can go anywhere with this car after shelling out around 10 lacs. Projector lamps, SHVS(SMART HYBRID VEHICLE SYSTEM), Reverse camera, Rear AC vents are some cool features which you get in Ciaz. OEM quality cannot be matched when you try fitting the above mentioned features aftermarket!!Dzire is good too. But Ciaz is better than Dzire in Maruti's portfolio. First of all you have to be more specific about your requirements and budget. Because all the three cars you mentioned falls into different category. Nexon and elite i20's price range is almost same,while Creta is a bit costlier. If you can extend your budget upto 14 lakhs then you should buy Creta. Creta is undoubtedly best in its segment. But if your budget is below 10 lakhs you should go for elite i20. Nexon has some issues with its infotainment system. We all have some high expectations from Nexon and somewhere it fails to meet does expectations. Elite i20 is a very popular hatchback in its segment and newly launched one got some first in segment features too in addition to the old bulky features list. But there is one problem with i20, it's the mileage. You shouldn't expect a higher mileage from i20. Rest are good.So final decision is upto you. If you have the budget, go for Creta. Else elite i20 is there for you.

Price quoted is higher!INR 4 Lakhs to 4.5 Lakhs is reasonable price.Be ready to replace all the tyres within 5k km of your purchase since the car had already driven 35k (I assume the current owner had not replaced the stock tyre).Also, do thorough check on the vehicle - preferably take it to Hyundai Service Center and as the customer relationship manager to get the thorough check on the car before you buy. This way at least you get assurance about the car and also what you may expect in near future about the vehicle replacements.
