In all honesty ANY day would be fine for scheduled surgery. If you feel more comfortable with Monday, try to make it Monday; just to ease YOUR mind. Or, most surgeons also have a day off during the week (I work for one), pick the day AFTER his day off to schedule your procedure. The more important issue here would be not the day; but the TIME!!!! Ideally, you should pick the very first time-slot the hospital has. Ours is 7:00 a.m. At least you know you'll be the very first case he/she does of the day. And, YOU won't have to be NPO(fasting) til later in the day. If you're already scheduled and don't like the time; you can tell the office to re-schedule it. We have patients do it all the time.
