Which Is The More Marketable Btwn

Will I be more marketable with a MPH degree?

I have a B.A. in psychology. I started in the social and behavioral sciences MPH program, then switched to epidemiology. I don't particularly like either one. I really wanted to be a social worker but decided that getting my MSW was too expensive for how low social workers' pay is. I'm starting to worry that having a MPH in epidemiology won't actually qualify me for anything and I don't have job experience to back it up. I am in my second semester of the program (I have 1 year left after this).

Should I drop out and try to find a decent job in local social services, like as a case manager? Should I volunteer/work at a rehab facility and take classes to get a chemical dependency counselor certificate?

Is C++ or C# more marketable as a game designer?

Between C++ and C#, I’m guessing you’re asking between investing in learning development for Unreal or Unity. When it comes down to it, the more designers ( and artists ) know about the engine “under the hood”, the better they’ll be able to communicate with the engineers in implementing their design features. And in Game Development, communication is key. Many Designers use scripting languages; like Python and Lua. C# is more similar to those. The real benefit of learning C++ is understanding memory management and architecture. Learning the basics of Pointers, memory allocation will put ya head and shoulders above most other non-programmers.Designers create problems ( features that need to be implemented ) and the Programmers solve these problems ( coding and maintaining the features ). Many of the BIG bugs that creep up before a milestone or when a build needs to ship are memory management related ( leaks, bottlenecks, etc ). Learning C++ ( even if using Unity ) gives you a better crash course in understanding how data is allocated ( being forced to learn arrays instead of ArrayLists etc )Oh, and understanding Compile/Linkers errors is SUPER useful. On big projects, the Engine will break, and most people are clueless, and have no choice but to ask the engineers for help and wait. If you’re able to understand the basics…like a DLL is missing or corrupt, that’ll make the engineer’s job MUCH easier…or you’ll be self reliant and fix the issue yourself (and you’re fellow designers) You’ll be a hero!!

Which one is more marketable, an MA in literature, an MA in linguistics, or an MEd?

i don't know in what sense you are using the word “Marketable”. You'll have to see the needs of your area, specifically in the long run. And you must have clarity, what do you want to do with these degrees?& most important of all is that you must be aware of your personal interest. As for as these degrees concern, M.A in linguistics will help you in teaching foreign language where as literature will lead you to grasp culture and traditions of the nations in chronological order. But if you ask me to number these degrees M.Ed will surely be on the top. Because it's all about training & supplies teachers in the real sense. It sometimes simply deals with andragogy i.e methods and principles used in adult education. In short, keep in mind nothing is marketable here but if you have guts, if you have a sound grip on any of these subjects & If you are well groomed, you can turn them in marketable items.Again!Degrees are not important & marketable but the thing that is important marketable is “YOU”. Good luck

Between a CFA and an MBA, which is more marketable in the labor market?

I think this ultimately depends where you do your MBA. The advantage of an MBA is the network you are building as well as the people you attend it with (who in general are a bit older) which makes me favor MBAs over MSc as well as a bunch of Finance certificates.I think, personally, you enhance your odds for a job in the labor market much more if you got a MBA.

What is a more marketable degree, Computer Science or Information Systems?

Both are extremely marketable degrees, especially since they both are technology related. Although Computer Science(CS) degrees tend to be more popular and sometimes more valuable, Computer Science is more theoretical and requires more upper-level math and programming courses, which sometimes makes it longer to obtain the degree. I was a Computer Science major and changed to Information Technology for that reason.

Information Systems(IS) degrees tend to be shorter and usually requires one to take courses that revolve around careers that someone would have in the field, such as Database Systems, Networking and telecommunications, Computer forensics, User center Design, etc depending on the University. If you want to be a network engineer I would recommend Information Systems because a course similar to it would more likely be in a Information Systems degree program than an Computer Science program.

If you like math and programming then go for computer science. If you like to learn more about how computer and technology are used in the business world and take courses based on those careers then I would say Information Systems. Either way,as I said before both degrees are marketable so no worries. Best of luck to you in your studies!

Is one who has B.COM degree more marketable in employement market than who has BBA?

There is really no difference between the two.

Which is more marketable, a physics or applied math degree from UC Berkeley or an engineering degree from a less prestigious school?

Thank you for requesting my answer to your question, "Which is more marketable, a physics or applied math degree from UC Berkeley or an engineering degree from a less prestigious school? "Your questions are non-specific to some degree. For instance, is a Berkeley degree so valuable that you can major in a lesser known field and beat out engineers from lesser known schools on the basis of the degree. Probably not. There are unemployed Berkely graduates. You mention marketability. An engineer will always be marketable than a basic skill Flores of applied mathematics or physics.Best of luck on your career. Pardon my typographical, spelling, and punctuation as i am using speech-to-text software

Which is more marketable between Bsc statistics and computer science and Bsc mathematics and computer science?

A2A It depends on your endgame. If you are interested in MS in Data Science which is a blend of Computer Science and Statistics, then a double major in Computer Science and Statistics would be the better choice. If you are interested in MSCS especially Theoretical Computer Science, then a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics would be the better choice especially because Computer Science is an Applied Mathematics cluster. For example of Applied Mathematics clusters, see UC Berkeley course Requirements: Applied Mathematics.Note: Statistics is also an Applied Mathematics cluster so you can essentially have all three.

Which is more marketable between Bsc industrial mathematics and Bsc mathematics and computer science?

Math and CS is likely more marketable. The need for software engineers is not going to drop soon. The Math and CS degree prepares you for jobs in software engineering and other jobs for which a Math major might qualify. If industrial math is of interest to you, you might be able to fill in some of your electives with courses that are geared toward that, e.g. Microeconomics, Statistics, Linear Programming, etc.

Which subject is more marketable/important between Geography and History?

Both, of course, are important, but there is probably a bigger variety of jobs avaiable for Geography majors because it can impart some practical skills that can be useful in the Military, Urban Planning, Cartography, Meteorology, etc.
