I would really recommend Google manufactured Nexus Series. They are designed to function the way Google expected it to be when they deploy a new OS version. Plus, these phones are the first ones to receive the latest OS to be released. So if you want to see it first, go with the Nexus. I have owned both Android and iOS phones now. And the thing I love about my iPhone is the efficient Hardware-Software integration. It is when an Operating System fits the Mobile hardware perfectly, that's it's designed and more importantly, tested on that very specific hardware. This is a major advantage of iOS. But ever since Nexus was released, looks like google finally earned this advantage too. The latest OS to be released is always paired up with a flagship. The Nexus. The Device is fully designed and tested to work with the OS smoothly. Nexus – GoogleSeriously. I don't get why people are still into Samsung. I have owned lot's of samsung android phone since donut and froyo. Samsung lost me when I started to notice that they are sacrificing the build quality. The feel of the phones were becoming more plastic-y. I loved how the S II was designed. It can compete with the supreme build quality with the iPhone 4s. But when the released the S3, I began seeing bathing soaps rather than good quality mobile phones. No offence to Samsung users tho. But quality is really not with them anymore. It made me feel that it was mass-produced and felt cheap. I love doing tweaks on the Samsung hardware because of it's efficient sensors and hardware integration. I was on the scripting side. I did tweaks on the CPU speed. The way that you can control it's speed to save battery or play games better. That was a new idea that time. (froyo, galaxy Y, Samsung S). I say if you don't care about build quality and Imaging power, go for samsung. Usage-wise and sensors are well embedded. Plus their community is huge there!
