Which Of The 2 Series Is Better Percy Jackson And The Olympians Or The Hunger Games

I have read Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of the Olympus, Hunger Games, Divergent and Twilight books. What would I read next?

I second reading Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (read The Hobbit first). I would also suggest:Bullfinch’s Mythology (Greek mythology, maybe you’ll pick up something new about the Olympian books)T. H. White’s Once and Future King (Arthurian legend)The Vampire Lestat books (vampires, obviously) by Anne RicePretty much anything by Mercedes Lackey (start with the Arrows of the Queen trilogy)Pretty much anything by Anne McCaffrey (start with The Dragonriders of Pern series) be warned: even though it doesn’t always feel like it, McCaffrey is a science fiction author, not a fantasy author. You might accidentally learn something.I would also suggest just looking up your favorite books on Amazon and see what their matching engine suggests. It’s actually pretty good at what it does.Good luck and happy reading!

Is Percy Jackson better than The Hunger Games?

Better how? Better written? Better story? More realistic for the world it is set in? Better protagonist? Better world building?I’m going to answer all these questions.Better written: Percy JacksonPJatO flows really well, although it is written in the past tense. Writing present tense is harder for me, but in the end, Percy Jackson wins.Percy Jackson 1, The Hunger Games 0Better story: The Hunger GamesThe Hunger Games has real death, and while I was pissed at Mockingjay, I thought the story was better simply because it wasn’t written to be a cash grab, unlike the Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo.Percy Jackson 1, The Hunger Games 1Most Realistic: The Hunger GamesThe Hunger Games has real death and real consequences that impact not just one book, but the next. The characters have negative emotions other than exhaustion and anger. Not everyone gets their happy ending. Have I made my point clear?Percy Jackson 1, The Hunger Games 2Better protagonist: Percy JacksonI like both Katniss and Percy, but Katniss get on my nerves. Her stupid failed revenge quest kills almost everyone but Peeta and Gale. Meanwhile Percy does a good job leading and helping others. Really, I just don’t like Katniss much, and she isn’t a compelling protagonist, so Percy wins.Percy Jackson 2, The Hunger Games 2It all comes down to this. Now the better world building one is hard to answer, because while Panem has serious flaws, Rick Riordan barely had to do any world building. The winner is:It’s a Tie!Neither series is subjectively better than the other. I may prefer one over the other, but this is really hard to choose.

In which order should i read Rick Riordan's series?? Percy jackson, heroes, & kane?

Percy Jackson and the Olympians first.
Then Heroes of Olympus, as it has the same characters as the Percy Jackson series, and occurs about 2 months later.
It doesn't matter when you read the Kane Chronicles, because there is very little interaction with the characters from the other 2 series.

Am i too old to read Percy Jackson and The Olympians?

Absolutely not, it's meant for your age group. I'm almost 21 and I enjoyed reading it. It's a good story, I loved the mythology mixed with the modern setting. It, however, is definitely not a very advanced book, but that's probably because it follows a 12-year-old boy.

Some book suggestions: I really think you would enjoy the Hunger Games trilogy, if you haven't read it already. It's 2 books right now and the 3rd book is coming out in August. It's an amazing book, and it gets you thinking.

I also think you would enjoy The Host. It's adventure plus romance and some sci-fi mixed in. Really good book. It's written by Stephenie Meyer, BUT, in my opinion, is way better than Twilight.

One last series I think you would like is the Ender series. It's another sci-fi book, with lots of adventure and a little bit of romance. Really really good series, one of my favorites.

What is the maximum age for being chosen for the hunger games?

in Hunger Games it's 18!
but in catching fire the age is basically infinite because they chose out of the victors. in that one, the quarter quell, any age over 13 can be chosen. i think the oldest chosen for catching fire was 80 something. (mags)
