Which Of The Great Geniuses Had Their Brilliance Recognized During Their Life Time And By Whom

Why is Einstein regarded as a great genius?

Einstein apparently "spoke like a retard" when he was young.

I ask as well in view of the campaign against the person. His teachers said "he will never amount to very much". Though brilliant at the sciences, he was rather average at the other disciplines. The nazis said Einstein was "not yet hanged", they hated him.

Einstein's IQ at 160 was amazingly high but has been surpassed by numerous people, who do not get equal recognition. Einstein had dyslexia (and probably autism) which says something about learning disabilities. Unless Einstein is incorrectly praised.

Is it just the UK and the USA who praise him? Does Germany?

Da Vinci vs. Einstein vs. Shakespeare. Who was more brilliant?

Da Vinci vs. Shakespeare vs. Einstein.
Who was the greater thinker, more brilliant.
I have to put my money on Da Vinci, he was a true thinker, and a true artist. He's mainly known for his painting abilities, but he rarely did so, most of his time was spent inventing battle and war weapons, along with other inventions that were centuries ahead of their time.( flying machines, deep diving suites, etc.)

Why was Genghis Khan 'barbaric' and Alexander 'the great'?

Some of it has to do with how long the empire lasted and what _recognized_ historical contributions were made during their reign. That aside, I'm pretty sure it was also simply that Alexander was part of a more modern culture (full of writing, think of the Great Library) than Genghis Khan was, and thus more easily recognized in the pop culture during his ruling years and up to this day. His deeds may have been barbaric, but his contribution to society is seen as more profound. Plus, the label is preserved for historical reasons, because he was called that while he was alive, and thus written down many times.

What would Vincent Van Gogh have meant to more fully elaborate upon his death bed to Theo by "La Tristesse"?

Vincent to me was the ultimate LOVER. That lover who expects nothing, and yet the paradox within that, is that he expects EVERYTHING..and not to shake an art world which he knew constantly changes, as does any glorious and inglorious child.
I believe his sadness, was not having had prepared himself to realize this so succinctly on that day in the wheat field, accompanied by the crows, which unlike the Ravens, which are the tricksters and the teachers, are the announcers of death. I believe these must have informed him it was time to go...every thing ELSE, had already been arranged for him. Had he stayed among, amidst humanity, he's never become what he is TODAY. He would have settled for so much lesser worth.
I do not believe for an instant, Vincent invited his death, because he had failed to make his mark in the world of men or art. Are men and what the majority expect of art as a personal breakthrough, an example of human pettiness?I think so! I love Vincent, for he was as real, as>
