The only one of the others' answers I would disagree with is Ms. That is a woman regardless of previous or current marital status, it is her option to use it when she doesn't care to advertise her marital status, and is also used in a professional setting, where it would be inappropriate to ask someone if they are married. It is "safe" to use Ms. to address a woman if you are unsure of her marital status.
