Which Of These Girls Could Pull Off The Maleficent From Sleeping Beauty Look The Most

Do you like Beauty and The Beast Or Sleeping Beauty?

I'd pick Beauty And The Beast over Sleeping Beauty any day!

I love Beauty And The Best when I was a kid, love the story and I hated Sleeping Beauty, I haven't changed until now, though I don't love Beauty And The Beast, I just like it...

Do you think sleeping beauty should have been raised by the three fairies?

Mmmm...well when you think about the 3 fairies withheld information from her. (They didn't have birth certificates back in those days.)

She didn't know she was a princess...or anything about herself really, and then telling her she can't marry the hot looking young man she just met in the woods. They were very controlling fairies weren't they...even if they did have magic wands and sang a lot.

Yet she was a good complying young girl...nothing phased her...except being told she couldn't marry the hot looking guy in the woods who could sing and carried a sword...she got very upset about that didn't she...

She didn't appear too worried about her parents or being sent to the woods to grow up in a poor house being made to do housework by old lady fairies, when she could have had servants at her beck and call and not to mention the clothes and things she missed out on...maybe it sunk in when they made her wear that dodgy evening dress that kept changing colour.... No wonder she stopped her angry little foot. (Don't all 16yr olds deserve a pony and castle to live in with servants...)

So many things to explore in that fairytale...

Edit; Put on serious hat....Forgot to add... Who cares if her life is in danger right and the only way to protect her was to send her off to live with 3 fairies who changed her name etc.... no matter what her biological parents should have raised her and even if it meant they all got killed by the wicked witch and the kingdom went to war millions died...but thats okay because her parents kept her....

Take off serious hat...it was getting tight anyway...
Its a fairytale!!!! With modern day plot holes!!!!

Was Sleeping Beauty a victim of the sexual advances of a man whilst she was not in a position to give consent?

If you are referring to the Disneyization of Sleeping Beauty. Not really. He gave one little kiss to wake her up. Now, if you are referring to some of the origins such as Giambattista Basile's version, The Sun, Moon and Talia. But Talia, who was not dead, but merely unconscious, had become pregnant, and after nine months she gave birth to twins, as beautiful a boy and girl as ever were born. Kindly fairies attended the birth, and put the babies to suck at their mother’s breast. One day, one of the infants, not being able to find the nipple, began to suck at his mother’s finger. He sucked with such force that he drew out the splinter of flax, and Talia awoke, just as if from a long sleep. When she saw the babies, she did not know what had happened or how they had come to her, but she embraced them with love, and nursed them until they were satisfied. She named the infants Sun and Moon. The kindly fairies continued to attend her, providing her with food and drink, which appeared as if delivered by unseen servants. (1)In what is considered to be the origin of Sleeping Beauty Talia (the Princess) is raped by the Prince while sleeping.Look, I am not saying this to negate a wrong. What I am doing is trying to shed some real history to Sleeping Beauty. I do not even think, as stated, that a kiss on the lips as suggested in the Disney version is a sign of a sexual predator. I am not entirely to sure where you are going with your comments as stated,This question is more a bit of jest. I'm not meaning offense I'm curious if this type of question is worth applying to our established story set we provide our kids, what they learn from and pitfalls to avoid in our teaching.Take, "worth applying to our established story set we provide our kids," are you referring to the educational system or in the homes. Fairy tales come from folk tales. Folk tales can be gruesome, and nitty-gritty. I believe that the "pit-fall" in teaching would shelter children from stories such as Sleeping Beauty, and other fairy tales because of a questionable past. Its like parents who want the education system to stop teaching The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain because of the use of slurs. The only accomplishment we would accomplish would be ignoring our past. Sleeping Beauty - Giambattista Basile (aka The Sun, Moon and Talia

If Maleficent is a sympathetic villain in Maleficent (2014 film), how could other Disney villains be portrayed as that in their own stories?

To those who want to rule (Jafar, Ursula, Scar, Hades) you can portray them as someone who actually believes he can do better and that sees the status quo is bad.Ursula: Poseidon you can give Ariel legs by just thinking of it why dont you do it instead of making me take her soul? you know my magic only works that way.Scar: Mufasa the hyenas are starving, we can literally just give them the dead animals we dont eat, why dont you do it?Jafar: OMA (Oh My Alá) unnamed sultan, Agrabah is really insecure why dont you do something about it? Your guards cant catch a single thief.Hades: Oh my you Zeus, you are literally the king of the gods, why do you let monsters mess with humans, why do you let heroes kill them? And you can portray Gaston as the hero who learns of a monster who kidnapped the most beautiful girl in the village and sets out to slay the beast.

How should i name my dog should i name her girlie or a puppie name i can't deside?

Who is your favorite female villain in cinema, and why?

The one woman I hate from the bottom of my heart and soul is this witch, “Dolores Jane Umbridge”.She’s evil, sadistic, condescending and cruel.Dolores Jane Umbridge is the witch we all love to hate, or maybe just hate.Right from the moment she is introduced by the headmaster, she brings along all the negativities and it can be felt from her looks and her voice. She had been dominating right from the start when she interrupted DumbledoreThere we were, with the rest of the Great Hall in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, enjoying Professor Dumbledore’s start-of-term notices, when suddenly ,‘Hem, hem’. What’s this? Who is this, daring to interrupt the Headmaster? It made Professor McGonagall’s mouth go as thin as Harry had ever seen it and we knew then that this woman was trouble. She is witty, shrewed and quite dominating. she likes to see her as the one to be feared of and praised. The most tragic incident was her Scarring Harry PottbesThe below is a link to the video of that particular incident.‘Oh, you won’t need ink,’ said Professor Umbridge, with the merest suggestion of a laugh in her voice.’Harry Potter’s parents were murdered, his only family kept him in a cupboard under the stairs, he’s pursued by a villain so evil the wizarding community can’t bear to utter his name, and now he is being forced to inscribe lines into his flesh with a quill? This is Professor Umbridge at her very darkest; inflicting searing physical pain on her student, someone meant to be in her care but instead she tortures him with a smile stretched on her face. It’s distressing to read and positively unbearable to watch. In the film Order of the Phoenix, actress Imelda Staunton is flawless in this scene; those eyes and that expression of utter freakish mania will stay with us forever.Stephen King was right. Dolores Jane Umbridge truly is a monster. So,she is by far the best female villain I have ever witnessed in cinema. Thanks for reading! Open for suggestions
