Which Of These Girls Is Much More Likely To Be Otto The Bus Drivers Type The Most If They Were On

What are the common Ivy League stereotypes?

I'm not talking in general, like the Ivy League as a whole. But the individual schools: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, UPenn, Cornell, Brown, and Dartmouth.

Generally a turbocharger is used for a diesel engine and a supercharger for petrol engine but can we use turbo in petrol engine and supercharger in diesel engine?

As for pairing turbos or superchargers with gasoline (petrol) engines, there are no limitations. Either form of forced induction can be used successfully. You can even use both on the same engine. It's also possible to use a both on a diesel, but it's uncommon to see a supercharger on a diesel because of the nature of a diesel engine.First, it's important to understand that diesel engines produce excellent torque at low RPMs. As a result, they tend to accelerate from a standstill relatively easily. However, as RPMs increase, the rate of acceleration starts to slow...this is partially due to the mass of the pistons and crankshaft in a diesel. They're typically much heftier than their gasoline counterparts, so it takes more energy to increase their rotation speed. If a diesel is turbocharged, the diesel's rate of acceleration at higher RPMs is improved. The turbo begins to force air into the engine once exhaust gases start flowing (remember, a turbo "runs" off the engine's hot exhaust), and that means that the turbos start to kick in right about the time that the engine's acceleration rate is slowing.Since a supercharger is best for engines that don't have much low-end torque - unlike turbos, a supercharger adds power right away (no lag) - diesels and superchargers often don't mix. The supercharger's key benefit of instant power isn't much of a benefit on an engine with gobs of torque.Second, since diesel exhausts run considerably hotter than gasoline exhausts, turbocharging a diesel is very energy efficient. The hotter the exhaust gas, the more effective your turbocharger is.Summing up, Vicky Katara is correct that superchargers and turbos are interchangeable. However, outside of racing applications, it makes a lot more sense to pair a diesel with a turbo than with a supercharger.

What would happen if you put jet fuel in a car and attempted to run it?

Jet fuel is refined kerosene.  The refining process takes refinery kerosene product (very close to diesel) and removes the parafin wax as well as other impurities.  They take the wax out so that the kerosene at altitude (very cold) will not congeal and plug up the works.  Not a problem at ground level where the temperatures are much warmer.  Refiners do the same for diesel fuel used in the far north or southern polar regions.Aviation gas is also refined gasoline, but with a significant octane hike over auto gas, and not by using octane boost additives.  Typical max octane for cars is 91 or 93.  Av gas is 100-130.  Some older grades were a bit lower; 80-95.You can run av-gas in a car, but not recommended.  To get the best performance it needs to be tuned to that octane, otherwise you will burn out the valves and foul the plug, as av-gas still has a little lead in it.====================================True story (circa 1963); when I was a staff mechanic at the Montreal Flying Club.  Chief mech drove an Austin Mini.  As a routine operation, every morning we would go plane to plane (mostly Cessna 150 or 172) and drain each tank of about a cup of fuel to remove any condensate water or sediments.  We would dump that fuel into a barrel through a Chamois which allowed only the fuel to filter through.  The Chief used that fuel in his tuned Mini. One day a lady came to me ask if she could buy some av-gas (from the pump - illegal for cars) as her car ran dry.  Boss said no, but offered her some gas from the barrel, as that was considered scrap gas, unusable in a plane. He poured in a few gallons and off she went.Three days later she was back, and asked for more as her car never ran better.  We explained why not, but gave her a few gallons more.

Which engine is more efficient, powerful and recommended? Diesel or petrol?

It simply depends on how and where you drive the car.Diesel Engines PROsThey have more torqueThey are more fuel efficientThey’re great for long journeysThey’re easier to drive (especially if they are coupled to a manual transmission)They’re used by trucks and buses - using a gasoline would be expensive and inefficient. In case of a car crash, Diesel fuel doesn’t burn violently like gasoline (if Paul Walker had a Diesel car during his crash, he would have survived).Diesel Engines CONsMore expensive to maintain (parts use a higher manufacturing precision)They generally used double mass flywheels on manual transmissions (more expensive)They emit black smoke (incomplete combustion) = highly pollutantEmissions are far more dangerous to the environment (and for us) compared to a gasoline engineA brand new car with a Diesel engine is more expensive (with at least $3,000).They’re not recommended to drive on extreme temperatures (cold starts are harmful, it barely starts, it heats up difficult). Not recommended if you drive only for short distances (generally around town)Not recommended if you drive less than 10,000 miles per year (costs of maintenance will more expensive than the price difference between gasoline and Diesel fuel).Gasoline Engines PROsMore comfortable to drive = less vibrations, less noiseGreat for driving in cold areas (even in extreme conditions)Sport capabilities (that’s why supercars use only gasoline engines)Friendly with the environment (no smoke, no NOx, less HC, less SOx, less pollutants)Cheaper to purchaseCheaper maintenanceGreat for driving around townThe engine reaches optimum operating temperature (coolant + oil) 3 times faster than a Diesel engineGasoline Engines CONsIt’s dangerous in case of an accident (it could literally explode just like in an action movie)Fuel efficiency is around 30% compared to the Diesel’s 40–45%I personally drive a car with a gasoline engine (naturally aspirated) and a manual transmission (Audi A3 1.6L - 102hp) and I will stick to gasoline engines. It fits my needs better. To sum up, it matters:How you driveWhere you driveHow much you driveWhere you liveBoth engine types are great, but it really matters how you exploit them.Feel free to check out my profile or my YouTube channel for more automotive content.

What shocked you today?

I saw Amitabh Bachchan’s post on Facebook about his daughter's new fashion brand, which was apparently so good that all products were sold out within hours!I thought let me go checkout the clothes on the website.I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW THE PRICES! AND IT'S NOT AS IF THE CLOTHES WERE OUT OF THE WORLD!Look at this dress! This is something my mom would probably wear at home! This dress is good! But 80k for this dress! Are you kidding me!The fabric of this top seriously looks like a tablecloth! The length of this dress! The underskirt being longer than the sheer fabric outside! It just doesn't look right!Another good dress but 28k for it? NEVER!This is another dress which I'd probably wear at home!I don't see what about this top makes it worth 35k!This looks like a skirt a 10-year-old would wear! This entire outfit has been styled so poorly according to me! And I'm sorry but I seriously don't like this skirt!Another really good dress! But come on that price!?This is such a basic T shirt! WHY IS IT 5K!?HOW WAS ALL OF THIS SOLD OUT WITHIN A FEW HOURS!It really shocked me to see how someone who doesn't even have a name for themselves yet in the fashion industry can start selling such basic Tees at 5k just because your father is one of bollywood’s biggest and most famous actors! It’s just my opinion! But it really shocked me when I looked at the prices! Who are the target customers!? A basic Tee for 5k? Are you serious? Why would someone buy a Tee which says girl power for 5k when there are thousands of other Tees available which say girl power for one tenth the price?!I think the pricing is Absurd! Just imagine Shweta Bachchan was any other ordinary girl who was just starting her business without any connections! Would she still price her clothes so high? Who would buy it then?Hrithik Roshan also has a clothing line HRX, but it is priced so well, I've tried some stuff from the brand and I love it! He didn't use his name tag to price his clothes at shockingly high prices! This really just shocked me today so I thought I'd share it here! Thanks for reading :)Edit: Just saw this comparison which just shows some of the designs aren't original either! Which makes the pricing even more shocking for me!

Who's your favorite side character in a TV Show?

Ladies and gentlemen meet King Steve.Yes. This guy. His name is Joe Keery and he plays the role of Steve Harrington in the famous TV series Stranger Things.During the first season he is a normal high school boy who has rich parents. Who likes to party and gets around the most beautiful girls of the town. He played that character so natural that the creators of the series, the Duffer brothers actually thought of increasing the screen space of his character in season 2.And guess what?? He has completely changed in season 2. His role and his acting was applauded a lot by the critics.I must say Millie Bobby Brown was the one about whom the audience talked after season 1. But it was Steve Harrington i.e Joe Keery who won our hearts in season 2.This is how he is seen now.Because of the way he took care of all the kids. He is being called a single mom. I liked it when he helped Dustin when no one was there to help him. Also dropped Dustin to the Snow Ball and gave advice on how to attract girls. Yes ….. I guess ,we all need a senior like that. Some more. And before saying good bye.All hail to KING STEVE.Good bye and thanks for reading.Photos:- Pinterest.

Heroes: What are some of the most heroic real-life acts?

Bishnu Shrestha, a brave Gurkha soldier in Indian Army, alone fought 40 armed robbers to save an 18 year old from rape.He was awarded the Sena Medal and the Sarvottam Jeevan Rakhsha Padak for his act of bravery and exceptional courage and devotion to duty.On September 2, 2010, then 35 year old, Bishnu Shrestha was travelling on his way home on Maurya Express from Ranchi to Gorakhpur. About 40 armed robbers stopped the train near Chitranjan jungles, West Bengal, around midnight to rob the passengers of their valuables (money, jewellery, cellular phones and laptops). He was a silent spectator until the robbers grabbed the girl sitting next to him to strip and rape her in front of her helpless parents. He then took out his khukuri and took on the robbers who were armed with swords, blades and pistols. In the narrow aisle of the train, a trained fighter like Shrestha had the advantage. Although some of the bandits had pistols, they were either fake (a common ploy in India), inoperable, or handled by a man who didn't want to get too close to an angry Gurkha. He took one of the robbers under control and then started to attack the others. In about ten minutes of fighting in the train aisles, he killed three bandits and injured 8 of them. The rest of the robbers then fled. The train resumed its journey and a horde of media persons and police were present when it reached Chittaranja station. Police arrested the eight injured dacoits and recovered around 400,000 Indian rupees in cash, 40 gold necklaces, 200 cell phones, 40 laptops and other items that the fleeing robbers dropped in the train. Shrestha suffered a severe injury to his left arm and required two months of medical treatment to recover his injured hand. The girl's parents announced a cash reward of 300,000 Indian rupees for the soldier, but he turned it down. "Fighting the enemy in battle is my duty as a soldier. Taking on the thugs on the train was my duty as a human being."Khukri- The Gurkha knife
