Which Of These Laptops Should I Get

Which laptop should i get??

Currently I have a 13 inch Macbook Pro with Retina display. It has 4 gb of RAM and 128gb of storage. So far it has been perfect with photoshop and premiere pro (short videos at low resolution). However it heats up and lags a lot with Final Cut Pro.
I am currently thinking of getting the HP Spectre x360
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-spectre-x360-2-in-1-13-3-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-512gb-solid-state-drive-silver-black/3309078.p?id=1219579616150&skuId=3309078

I want to know if I should keep my laptop or get the HP. I really want to get more into video editing. Not super intense videos just action videos i shoot on my go pro at 1080p.
Should I upgrade or stick with my Mac?
Also if anyone has the x360 could you tell me if it lags a lot or if it runs smoothly?

Please answer the question and if you know of a laptop better than these two please let me know. However the price can't be above $1400 and I need a laptop under 14". Thank you so much!!!

Edit: Also most nights I will keep my laptop open and plugged into the charge downloading apps or movies. Will the HP be able to handle that or will that be too much?

Which laptop should I buy for my B.Tech?

If you are a computer science student then any laptop can fulfill your needs of programming. For other branches, what I have seen is,  people mostly use their laptops for movies, games or surfing on the Internet. So I would recommend you to buy a laptop with decent configuration and a graphics card if you play games. If you are really passionate about gaming,  then you can go for high end laptops otherwise it doesn't really matter which laptop you are using. I bought Lenovo IdeaPad in first year and till date it didn't need any kind of service. And trust me no one has used his laptop more than me, for all kinds of work. All the best! !

What color laptop should i get?

Should I buy a desktop or laptop?

Choosing between a desktop and a laptop depends upon your exact need.DesktopConsider buying a desktop if you work at home.Power: Desktop CPUs are very powerful than laptop CPUs since laptop runs on battery and desktop have an external power supply.Media Consumption: Desktop are best for media consumption since they have a big display and a good quality sound system.Content creation: Laptops also can be used for content creation but desktop have an upper hand with its powerful CPU and GPU.Home Office: If you work in your home then a desktop will be appropriate.Output device: If you have printers and other I/O devicces, desktop will have an upper hand.Connectivity: Desktop have more number of connectivity options.Upgrades: Desktop internals are easily accessible and easily upgradable.Cost: Compared to a laptop of similar spec.LaptopIf you are a student, then I recommend buying a laptop.Portable: The most important advantage of having a laptop is portability.Power: Battery and Performance will not go hand-in-hand.Content creation: Laptops with high end CPU and GPU can come close to desktop.Media Consumption: Good alternative to portable media consumption.Connectivity: lesser number of I/O potrs than a desktop.Upgrades: Depends on the model of laptop you own. When buying one make sure that atleast RAM and storage are upgradable.Cost: More costlier than desktop of same spec. But considering the small package, its fair.I personally am a student and a designer. I bought a laptop with 6th gen Intel core i7 cpu, 16gb ram, 1tb storage, 15.6″ laptop with a Nvidia GTX 960M graphics. It is a portable gaming laptop and I can run all graphics demanding software and almost all recent anf old games. It cost about 80k in India.

Should i buy laptop or desktop?

From my perspective, there's no question -- buy a laptop.

You always have the option of adding a docking station
(or just adding an external monitor/keyboard) if you
want different ergonomics.

But a laptop lets you move around the house, the campus,
the city, back-and-forth to work and you can take it
with you on trips.

With wireless connectivity everywhere, you can work
where ever you want.

The only advantages I can think of for desktops are:
- somewhat cheaper
- most power/heat dissipation capability
(so you can run more/hotter processors and load
up more peripherals)

If you can get the features you want in a laptop,
then don't tie yourself down to a desktop.

Do US laptops work in Malaysia?

If you are planning to move to Malaysia permanently or for an considerable length of time then I would purchase a laptop while you are over there. Not only would it cost less but if you have any problems with your U.S laptop, then you would have to ship it back home to get it repaired or try and find a Malaysian repair shop.

If you are only going for a short period of time then yes, it will work although you would have to buy either a voltage converter or a simple converter to change the plug output.

Unfortunately I am not sure what they use over there.
