Which Old Testament King Vowed To Be More Ruthless Than His Father

Do you think it's possible that the New Testament was written to offset the harsh tone of the Old Testament?

No. The idea that the Old Testament is more harsh originates with those who have never studied the Bible. Have they read the psalms? Listened to the hopes and admirations of the prophets who wrote those books? Considered all the promises recorded from God to Adam, Eve and the rest mankind after the fall, and throughout the Old Testament? If anything it reveals an extremely patient God who could squished the clay and started over. Some parts of the New Testament are MORE HARSH:Read the letters to seven churches in Rev. chapters 1–3Jesus condemnation of the religious leaders in Matt. 23Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? The New Testament pictures to us the day that God will clean house (so to speak), rid the world of evil (men and angels), and create the world He has promised to the faithful. It’s the same story through the entire Hebrew-Christian Bible.

Why did the writers of the Old Testament make God so unlikable?

The Old Testament doesn’t fully reveal who God is.But anyway, Abraham knew that God would raise Isaac from the dead IF he did sacrifice him. He even said beforehand “My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.” It’s a type & shadow of Jesus Christ. and God also did provide an animal. Though, Interestingly, for the next couple chapters, Isaac is not even mentioned despite never being sacrificed. It is as if he was sacrificed. Just a little detail I found fascinating…God never tortured Job to prove his devotion. Job is greatly misunderstood. God didn’t do anything bad to him. There was no bet played. Satan did all of that. It makes it sound like it was a bet because english. Job blamed God, because HE THOUGHT it was God involved with this suffering. “Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?” This was the first thing that God said to Job when He appeared. It was in response to Job blaming God. During his suffering, Job did not know that Satan was the one behind his tragedy, and because he blamed God instead of Satan, he spoke without knowledge. In blaming God, Job was wrong. (I’m not gonna go into more detail about it right now, I have to go through it all over again to explain)He wiped out the Human race because there was massive outbreak of Nephilim(Giants) in the world. They corrupted the human gene pool and he was forced to wiped them out. God told Noah to build the Ark in preparation for the coming flood. Don’t worry, he was preaching about it as he was doing it, so if there was any person who could repent(change his mind), they would’ve made it to the Ark. From what it seems, Noah and his family were the only pure humans. He never told mankind to fear him. He did rule through fear during the Old Covenant time with Israel, but that is because they chose to have a relation with God through Law. Good deeds vs Bad deeds. If you broke a Law, you get cursed. If you followed the Law, you get blessed. God never wanted that, It was barbaric and ruthless. He always wanted to go by Grace, which is based on HIS goodness, not yours. Even during times of ruthless Law, you can still see his grace working. every now and then. Why do you think he implemented the High Priest system? and the Sacrificial System? The High Priest was your representative before God. If he was bad, everyone else is considered bad and will be cursed. If he was good, everyone else was considered good and will be blessed.

Aside from David and Solomon, who was the greatest King of Israel or Judah?

Undoubtedly King Omri of Israel. He founded the Omrite dynasty and was possibly the first real king of Israel. His son, Ahab, was also a successful military leader. It is hard to rank the Judahite kings against the much more powerful Israelite kings, but King Josiah of Judah deserves a mention because he promoted monolatry in Judah and was probably the patron of the anonymous author now known as the Deuteronomist. His religious reforms were not entirely successful, because his son Jehoahaz reverted to polytheism.

Was Ramses II the Pharaoh depicted as "Moses's brother" in the Bible?

1 Kings 6:1 places the Exodus event 480 years before the construction of Solomon's Temple, implying an Exodus at c. 1450 BCE, but the number is rhetorical rather than historical, representing a symbolic twelve generations of forty years each. There are major archaeological obstacles to an earlier date such as this.“And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord”.The Torah lists the places where the Israelites rested. A few of the names at the start of the itinerary, including Ra'amses, Pithom and Succoth, are reasonably well identified with archaeological sites on the eastern edge of the Nile Delta, as is Kadesh-Barnea, where the Israelites spend 38 years after turning back from Canaan; other than these, very little is certain. The crossing of the Red Sea has been variously placed at the Pelusic branch of the Nile, anywhere along the network of Bitter Lakes and smaller canals that formed a barrier toward eastward escape, the Gulf of Suez (south-southeast of Succoth), and the Gulf of Aqaba (south of Ezion-Geber), or even on a lagoon on the Mediterranean coast. The Biblical Mount Sinai is identified in Christian tradition with Jebel Musa in the south of the Sinai Peninsula, but this association dates only from the 3rd century CE and no evidence of the Exodus has been found there.Ramesses II, who is depicted as the brother of Moses is not correct, Ramesses was born c. 1303 BCE; he died July or August 1213 BCE; he reigned 1279–1213 BCE, he was also known as Ramesses the Great and was the third pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt. The more accurate Pharaoh during the time of Moses would be Thutmose II (1492 to 1479 BC). Thutmose II is best qualified to be the pharaoh of Exodus based on the fact that he had a brief, prosperous reign and then a sudden collapse with no son to succeed him.His widow Hatshepsut then became first Regent (for Thutmose III) then Pharaoh in her own right. Thutmose II is the only Pharaoh's mummy to display cysts, possible evidence for the plague of boils mentioned in Exodus 9 which spread through Egypt at that time.Thutmose II's body was found in the Deir el-Bahri Cache above the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and can be viewed today in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Can this be the AntiChrist the world is waiting for?

I have written that the antichrist predicted in the book of revelation is someone the Jews will not reject like they rejected Jesus when He was born to do the work of God and saved the Jews. Jesus was killed but He was arisen from death on the third day and is now sitting at the righthand of God.

This antichrist will be a descendant form Davidic line. He must be born in Bethleham. He could be born in a great farm or some palace fit for a king. He was able to perform miracles and signs of wonders. He could be somewhere like Jesus in the ability to perform awesome miracles. These were done though the help of the Devil and False Prophet. He would claim he is a king's descendant and assume his kingship. The Jews or the whole of Israel will accept this man and claim him to be the Messiah. However, he is slain but brought to life. Now his resurrection is not like Jesus. Computer chips bring him to life. With that, he is now not a human being but a robot to do evils for the devil.
