Which One Is Better Option For Post Graduation B/w Wildlife Science And Env Sci Regarding Scope In

What are the scopes after doing an MSc in environmental science?

Thank You for the A2A Dhiraj. The scopes of Environmental Science is limited at present in India, but is going to see a plunge in the near future. As you know almost in all sector Environmental Protection is given emphasis, hence Environmental Science graduates have a bigger scope. But as of now the main problem is that the job that should be done by Environmental Post graduates are being done by students of Chemistry, Forestry, Agriculture, Botany etc. This is causing a stiff competition for Env. Sci students. But there are still a lot of areas where Environmental Postgraduates are preferred.Environmental Consultancy: Many environmental consultancies like RAMKY, ENZEN etc. are eager to take environmental engineers as Env. Sci. postgraduates have broader knowledge about EIA, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental law etc. Hence because of their versatility, they are preferred over general science students.Environmental NGO: Green Peace, WWF, CSE Delhi etc. are the primary NGOs which hire environmental science post graduate for multiple jobs ranging from Environmental journalism to Program Managers.State, National and International Agencies: This includes State SPCB, State EIA, CPCB labs, MOEFCC, CES , UNEP , WHO , UNDP etc. These are the best aspects for Environmental Sci.postgraduates as in these institutes you are directly involved in the decision making process and hence can work directly to help Environment.Research Lab: Almost all the university and Govt research organisation has an Environmental Department. These labs need JRF or Project Assistants for various projects. These are most preferable for students who intend to pursue career in Research in Environmental Sciences. NET/GATE eligibility is most preferred.Government PSUs: NTPC, IOCL , CIL etc all have environment departments. They prefer MSc and Mtech in Environmental Engg. They also require GATE/NET Score but few PSUs also take students from their own entrance exams.Private Industries: Industries like Reliance, Adani Port. WIPRO etc all have environmental departments and they prefer environmental students as they can be employed in multiple roles.M.Sc Environmental Science has a promising future. Students need to decide what they want to do exactly and go for internship and trainings in their course breaks. Gaining as much skills as possible from internship is important to get good placements.Reference:http://www.employmentnews.gov.in...

What are my career options after doing Bsc in CBZ(Chemistry,Botany,Zoology)? Your help would be appreciated.

Dear Student,After doing your B.Sc in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, you can pursue M.Sc in any of these subjects. You can also think of doing your B.Ed; which will make you eligible for teaching in high schools. The options are vast and many. Once your post graduation is done prepare well for you NET/JRF/SLET; qualifying which will make you eligible for lectureship. After B.Ed if you also do your M.Ed you will be eligible for teacher training institutes. You can also think of studying genetics or other super specialized fields like plant anatomy, physiology, floriculture, neurobiology, biotechnology, biochemistry. Research and development is also a sort after field. You can try for government jobs(with 7th pay commission it does pay you well) banks and other competitive exams in various fields. The advantage of a science graduate is you are never restricted entry from any field.Feel free to call us at 9555990000, for more information about us, visit iDreamCareer | Career Assessment, Planning, Counseling for StudentsTeam iDreamCareerFacebook | Explainer Video | Blog

Environmental Science Degree to Navy or Air Force?

So I will be finishing up my Environmental Science degree next May (09) with a math minor. I am 25, married, and have two cats. I want to have a child in the next 2-3 years. I was thinking about graduate school for atmospheric sciences, or hydrology (environmental engineering type stuff) but I saw that the Navy had some graduate programs for that type of stuff and would like a little more financial security. I could see myself going for the full 20 until retirement just so I know I will have insurances and good money to support my family

I have a 3.7 GPA and have worked research jobs before

I will have about $30,000 of loans when I get done with my degree, so I would like to have those paid off.

Since I am married and I want a kid, a lifestyle where I can be with my family would be the best.

I am making this decision too because I have always wanted to go through boot camp to prove to myself that I could do it. I like to live in a very regimented and organized method already so I don't think I would have any problem adjusting to that kind of thing.

Living outside of the US on a base definitely appeals to me.

So I enroll to be an officer and go to OCS right? Would the Navy or Air Force be a better bet for me?

Degrees for becoming a Police Officer?

I want to become a police officer and possibly go on to become a game warden.
Right now, my only option is online classes. Are there any good online schools to become a police officer? Please speak from personal experience...

Which subject should I choose in M.Sc life science or M.Sc. environmental science?

Reason for " why you want to choose Environmental Sciences"?Find an answer for that .If you cant, then my advice isWhat ever you choose your subjects in Masters ,keep the CSIR syllabus compared to the Masters Syllabus .you can Download it from the official CSIR site Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. For the sake to proceed, lets say if you keep your subject"Environmental Science"(which will lead you to disaster)here is only 1 topic on the CSIR syllabus known as plant physiology out of the 13 topics )which are1.Molecules and their Interaction Relevant to Biology2.Cellular Organization3. Fundamental Processes4. Cell Communication and Cell Signaling 5.Developmental Biology6.System Physiology – Plant7.System Physiology – Animal8. Inheritance Biology9.Diversity of Life Forms10.Ecological Principles11.Evolution and Behavior12.Applied Biology13.Methods in BiologyThese all come under "Life Sciences "You can find their details in the SYLLABUS IN THE LINK .i have had Zoology as my Masters Subjects so excluding the Plant physiology part all topics are relevent .To be frank i have never had come across something called "Biological Sciences" ,it is a synonym of Life Sciences.Opt broad for say for "biotechnology "??No No!!!For "Zoology" ????YES YES.Botany?? No No !!!!Life Sciences ?? Yes Yes .
