What is the best protein supplement in India?
Protein powders -- made into a shake or consumed however you like -- are getting more and more popular as a nutritional supplement. Protein powders come in various forms. The three common ones are whey, soy, and casein protein. Whey is the most commonly used, because it’s a complete protein (complete amino acid profile). People who are vegan may prefer plant based protein.I usually alternate between these two -Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard - It has topped the list for almost a decade. With 24Gm of pure protein, this protein powder is also known for containing low concentrations of fat, lactose, and carbohydrates. This product has also has been approved and recognized by the Public Health and Safety Company, NSF International, and the Good Manufacturing Practices Program standards.OZiva Protein & Herbs - What I personally like about this is the combination of multivitamins, herbs and protein. It digests rapidly, is a rich source of amino acids to support muscle recovery & has Ayurvedic Herbs. It contains 6.5 gm BCAA (slightly higher than ON) and has added Ashwagandha, Flaxseeds. It doesn’t have any artifical sweetener. It is less sweeter than ONAs for my personal choice, I prefer to keep alternating between 2-3 brands so that my body doesn’t get used to one type of supplement. I am looking for a good plant based option so if someone has any suggestions - do let me know.

Is Healthkart a reliable website to buy protein supplement?
I bought Dymatize Elite from Healthkart on 4th March 2017. I saw some weird cut at the bottom of the jar.I asked healthkart to change the product as I was eligible to return the product under there so called “14 day return policy”. After asking them to schedule the return of the product, healthkart rejected my return request claiming that their products are so called “100% Authentic”. As I had no option I started consuming the product, and the mixibility of the product was really poor (another sign of fake protein). Then few days later I realised that the packaging of the whey protein I received from Healthkart was not original.Original Dymatize EliteFake Dymatize Elite(from healthkart.com)On comparing these 2 pictures, it is quite evident that the product I received form healthkart was a fake product as the jar that I received doesn't have the QR code and there are other significant differences in the packaging which can be seen in the pictures above.Ever since I have found out that the product i received is a fake one , I have stopped consuming the product(God knows what's inside the whey protein jar). Please don't buy from Healthkart.com, these people are looting the common man of our country who spend their hard earned money on these super expensive supplements and still what they get in return is a box filled with shitty powder but not whey protein. The only reason why I shelled out extra money out of pocket to buy supplement from Healthkart.com is because I strongly believed that atleast I would get the original products.I would not recommend anyone to buy from Healthkart.com, buy from neulife or some other store atleast you would get original product from Neulife.com because unlike healthkart( where any random vendor can sell his product on healthkart ). All the products sold by neulife are sold by them, not by some other vendor.P.S: the vendor who sold me this product was Perfect Nutrition.
Do you believe that natural supplements make a significant difference in the average person's health and why?
they make a difference if your body is lacking in these supplements. otherwise, I feel it is better to get them via food. A good example is iron supplements. For me, they bother my stomach terribly but I am anemic and lack iron. However, if I get the iron from eating bran flake cereal every day(it contains nearly 100% daily requirement in each 3/4 cup portion) I don't have any problem and my iron blood tests come out great.
Do I need to take supplements or protein powder when I start going to gym?
The short answer to almost every question in the fitness section of Quora is it depends. Here is depends on what you are looking to achieve, how quickly you want to achieve it, how much money you have, what your expectations are and what motivates you.I think a much better question would be how much difference will it make in the reults i get when trying you achieve X if I do or do not use this range of supplements. If you are looking to lose fat then adequate protein is important, you should be able to get this through the food you eat but sometimes protein shakes can be handy to add to it. If you want to build muscle you do not actually need as much but it is more than a sedentary person needs. One supplement that has been shown to work well is creatine, this is cheap and effective for most people, there is certainly no need to take it but many choose to as it helps them.Vitamins can be beneficial to take, especially if you do not eat a lot of fresh vegetables.Magnesium is also something that can be beneficial, the standard western diet is lacking in magnesium as we have depleted the soil of it along with many other minerals so the levels in the foods that should have it are much lower and it is very important for sports performance. So while you certainly do not need to take anything you might want to learn about supplements and try some if you think they might help you. Just do not expect to actually notice any difference from the vast majority of them unless you are very much in tune with the subtleties of your body.
Please give me some true remedies for Anemia. I skipped one month of period due to this. Please help.?
First of all go and get some blood work done to confirm that you really are anemic, and if so, how badly. Periods can be skipped for all sorts of reasons. If you are only mildly anemic, then it should be possible to treat this with diet alone (although I strongly recommend that you take proper medical advice, rather than just comments from strangers on an internet site). Iron is found in red meat - esp liver, although too much of that isn't great - it's worth trying to get organic if you can, dark poultry (e.g. chicken thighs), dark green vegetables, eggs. Eating your iron source with green vegetables, and having a glass of orange juice with it will help you to absorb the iron. Avoid milk and tea and coffee for about half an hour or so afterwards, as they will reduce the absorption. If your anemia is more serious, then you will need some sort of iron supplement. Again, talk to your doctor or pharmacist about which will suit you best. (Ferrous sulphate is the most common iron tablet in the UK, although a number of people find that ferrous gluconate upsets their digestive system less. There are also (expensive) tonics such as Floradix). Good luck - but seriously, don't mess around with your health without getting tested - too much iron is more dangerous than too little, so don't start taking supplements on a hunch.
Has anyone taken Carenatal DHA prenatal vitamins?
Sorry, didn't take Carenatal DHA but it looks good / comparable to most prenatal vitamins out there. With each prenatal vitamins, it is really trial and error on what suits you the best (i.e. doesn't cause more nausea/constipation). My wife went through six brands (not this one), before settling on Preg-Vit and she is using Expecta DHA supplement (non-fish source) as these suited her the best. Good luck.
