Which One Should I Believe Vedic Or Western Astrology

Vedic astrology vs. western astrology?

The position of the constellations in the sky above the Earth are not in the same position as they were when Astrology began, due to the Earth’s wobble on its axis. For example the position of the planets on the night of the 1st January this year would have been different to 1st January thousands of years ago.

Vedic Astrology calculates the signs of the Zodiac according to the position of the constellations currently in the sky above the Earth. Part of what was originally Aries thousands of years ago is now Pisces (and so on) because dates have slipped backwards a bit in the last few thousand years due to the Earth’s wobble on it’s axis.

Western Astrology calculates the signs according to the position that the constellations were at in the sky above the Earth when astrology began. In Western Astrology the constellations in the sky at present do not match the position of the signs of their Zodiac exactly.

This does not mean that Western Astrology is wrong. The ecliptic is the path followed by the Earth as it moves through space around the Sun and is like an imaginary giant disc cut into 12 portions with the Sun in the middle and the Earth on the rim. Each of the 12 portions is one of the signs of the Zodiac and is 30 degrees. THE SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC ARE DIVISIONS OF THE ECLIPTIC AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CONSTELLATIONS.

I use Western Astrology, because the cycle remains constant even if the constellations have moved away from the signs they were in when Astrology first began.

Which one should I believe? vedic or western astrology?

I was born on January 21 1996 at 12:31pm.
On vedic astrology, it says that I have:
asc. 2:12 degrees taurus
7:17 Sun in capricorn,
25:57 moon in capricorn,
16:43 mars in capricorn,
00:32 mercury in capricorn
10:18 jupiter in sagittarius
14:18 venus in aquarius
27:17 saturn in aquarius.

On the other hand, in western it says:
Sun in aquarius
Moon in aquarius
Mars in aquarius
Mercury in capricorn
Jupiter in capricorn
Venus in pisces
Saturn in pisces

Help, please?

Vedic vs western astrology?

Some of the things were accurate in Vedic for me but western was more accurate because I feel like a Sagittarius ascendant more than a Scorpio. I had Sun in the 2nd house in Vedic but 1st house in Western. The description for the Sun in 2nd didn't really match me because I don't believe I am authoritarian. I do believe I have leadership qualities but not forceful only through love and understanding.

Do you believe in Sidereal or Vedic Astrology?

Why or why not?

And please don't give me some "Astrology is BS" answer..if you don't believe in it, don't bother to answer this Q.

BQ: At what age did you become interested in Astrology?

Vedic astrology versus Western astrology, which one should I follow? They both are so different.

A great questions however the answer rests within you. Providing a simple and accurate explanation of the differences and similarities within the two systems, as briefly as possible, is a challenge.Step one: These are two similar but different systems. Therefore rating one over the other is like saying apples are more beneficial than oranges.Step two: Both systems focus on the examination of time and space. However one system (Western) focuses solely on the immediate solar system. The other system uses both the immediate solar system and the galaxy including the fixed stars. The immediate solar system, or Tropical system, is paramount for timing of material matter and action, such as calendar making and planting and is used by both systems. It does not deal with issues such as soul growth and challenge. The Western system is considered to be more optimistic and honoring of free will then the Eastern system. Although not discussed in ways one can readily relate to, free will is of utmost importance in the Vedic system, it just doesn’t focus on the satisfaction of individual desires. For example, in Vedic thought it doesn’t matter what happens to us, it only matters how we deal with the situation. In fact, one of the common complaints about Jyotish (Vedic system’s name) is the element of negativity it seems to hold. The so-called negativity is rarely anything more than the life lessons an individual is here to deal with. This attitude of responsibility is frequently rejected in Western thought and is replaced with an attitude of entitlement. In addition, there are a number of underlying differences in thought between the two systems. The concept of personal responsibility is strong in one system whereas the projection of responsibility on to external forces or beings is strong in the other. The attitude toward life and death cycles are different, as are attitudes toward the supremacy of human status. Putting all these factors together it is no wonder confusion reigns when considering these two systems. So, which one should a person follow? Do your homework. Ask yourself questions, test both systems and be true to yourself and you will find your answer. Let’s face it, both systems are accurate within their realms of functioning. Good luck.

How many people believe in Vedic astrology and why?

How many, i will not be able to answer.  We believe in what relates to us. If someone doesn't have their correct date and time of birth it will be hard to be able to draw an accurate chart. I think one should use what reflects them and helps them achieve better things in life.Vedic Astrology and PlanetsVedic vs Western AstrologyDasha system in Vedic astrology
